What an excellent find a little outside of the touristy area of Myrtle Beach. About 15 mins away from the board walk area by car, they offer some real good options for southern comfort food. While, all the sauces were great, also the hush puppies were fresh and yummy, my best part of the meal was the freshly prepared pork rinds. Yes, get the bigger bag. It had been a rainy rainy (why!!!) RAINY beach vacation. The least we could do was eat delicious food :) As indecisive as I am and it wasn't my turn to pick food, barbecue was suggested and I of course agreed! We Googled around to find a place and it was decided people raved about the barbecue here! Who can resist a place that's "The Best Barbecue on the Beach" This restaurant was located on the side of 17N where traffic was building but we managed to cross the road to get there. There was Plenty of parking out front. We went inside and it's like being home. It was such a homey feeling. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. On to the food! We tried the Big Daddy and the Grand Daddy plates. On my Big Daddy plate I decided on the ribs and the wings-spicy for me please! Sides of collards and onion rings. Cornbread came with the meals. The Grand daddy plate also consisted of wings, ribs, and brisket. No complaints on anything on the Grand Daddy plate. And that's a huge compliment. I love spicy wings. I was oh so surprised when I saw the jalapeños sliced and cooked on top. Collards were amazing and onion rings were perfect. Very nice batter. Food was fresh and hot. Loved the cornbread bites and the sweet butter such a nice touch. The sweet tea was on point definitely get it. Get a to go cup too! (I spilled most of mine in the car and thought about that tragedy all day) There was a plethora of sauces on the table. Be warned they are not all thick sauces. Don't leak it everywhere like it did. On our last trip to Surfside Beach my family and I were in the mood for barbecue and decided to try out the Bar-B-Que House. Although it looks fairly generic on the outside, like a repurposed Pizza Hut, don't be fooled. Inside thy are serving some pretty good barbecue meals at some decent prices. I got the Big Daddy plate with brisket and pulled pork along with a side of corn nuggets and cole slaw. Everything I had was very good including the sauces which were served on the side. Besides that, the portions were very large, which I feel you don't always get at a barbecue place. Service was also very friendly and attentive, as well as quick. Our food was out to us within 5 minutes of ordering. When leaving I noticed they have a drive through window as well, which may be beneficial during COVID times. They have great fried chicken--be prepared to wait; they cook it to order. But what surprised us on our last visit was the brisket. Melt-in-your mouth tender. I would say one of the two best brisket servings I have ever had, and that include several places in Lockhart, Texas. For sides we had green beans and potatoe salad. However a general consensus was everyone's food was cold, the Mac n' cheese was ice cold. The taste was there, and the wait staff was all very nice and attentive. I have been wanting to check this place out for some time, I finally went today and this place is awesome! They are very conveniently located, and they have a very spacious dining area as well as a drive through so you can enjoy your meal there or on the go. The restaurant was very clean and the service was fast and friendly! Our server suggested several items and took the time to explain some menu combinations to us. We both ordered the barbecue pork sandwich platters, it included a big bbq sandwich with or without slaw on top. There are two types of slaw available (red or white) I opted for the white slaw and it really made the sandwich better. You also get two sides which we both got French fries and macaroni and cheese. The platters also came with four hush puppies each and a drink. The hush puppies come with a container of cinnamon-butter that makes for a sweet tasting component to your meal. The tables are equipped with metal buckets containing four or five different barbecue sauces and some Texas Pete hot sauce. The house sauce was my favorite but I tried several different ones and they were all very good. The menu had a wide variety of offerings from chicken to ribs and brisket. The server was highly recommending the brisket and I intend to get them on my next visit. I was very happy and full after our meal, the portions were pretty good and the quality was really excellent. The service was fast and friendly and our drinks were never empty. I can't wait to return and share this place with some more of our friends. read more

I ate there last night. I noticed the cook in the kitchen had the biggest bushiest beard with no net over it. Serving food and leaning over the food I was lucky I didn't find hair in my food but I didn't eat the rest of my food. I got an upset stomach that was disgusting. The waitress said nobody has even said one thing about it. The girls have to wear their hair pulled back, but he doesn't have to wear a net, that is crazy. read more

Our brisket was tender, but fatty. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast the kitchen turned our meals, and all of the dishes were nice and hot. I did not care for eastern sauce, it was too watery and bland. The other sauces were just okay, so I ate most of the meal dry. Be sure to order a side of sweet potato fries, they are tasty and come with cinnamon butter. We would probably eat here again, but would not go out of our way to find this place. The restaurant doesn't look like much. The ghost of a former fast food location or store hangs over all the designs. (La Raza de La Paz & Fazoli's) Inside, you can get a variety of BBQ products, with all sauces from across the Carolinas and beyond. Staff is very helpful, service is quick. Not the best bbq I've had but for a beach town, the bbq was fine. Tried the ribs, brisket, smoked chicken, and burger. Out of all of that I think my favorite was the brisket. Everything else was pretty average. The mac n cheese tasted watery and the potato salad was not good. My husband loved their sweet potato fries though. For dessert I had the banana pudding.
