Russell's was a great find! My friends are new to the area and picked a gem for dinner. Kids and adults had a wonderful time! It was great service ; friendly and attentive for the kids. Their food was fresh and amazing. A staple we will visit when in the area for sure. The venue has a great choice of indoor and outdoor seating. Nice lighting and ambiance was inviting.

The Creek shrimp basket with shoestring fries

This was our first time eating at Russell's. Our waitress was very kind and informative about the menu items. She suggested their special which was the wahoo so my husband ordered it blackened with the roasted corn and peppers and onions and fried mashed potato cheese balls. I ordered the Creek shrimp basket with shoestring fries and coleslaw. The shrimp was very tasty and it reminded me of the seafood hut in calabash. You actually tasted shrimp and not just breading. We were able to sit outside and enjoy a pleasant evening with a view of the Inlet across the street. I appreciated that the restaurant had the battery operated devices that keep the flies off your food at each table. I also had a treehouse punch drink, which was amazing and it hit the spot. I sampled my husband's wahoo, and it might be the best fish I've ever had. He agreed. He did not even need his tartar or cocktail sauce to doctor it up. We had a very pleasant experience, well worth the money and we will be back!

Great shrimp, grilled and also peel and eat. Appetizer was bang bang shrimp, outstanding not to hot to eat, the grill shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned, about 16-18 medium size shrimp. The server Tiffany, was amazing, great personality, and did her job with enthusiasm and delight, definitely will return

6.10.25 Other than the complimentary hush puppies and crab legs, I was less than impressed with the other items that I tried. The hush puppies were on the sweeter side and came with butter. The kids absolutely loved them. I also tried my sister-in-law's crab legs and it was solid and tasted good with butter. I ordered the fish & chips as it is a popular item on the menu, but thought it was just average. I also tried my husband's hamburger steak and great nephew's deviled crab, both of which were just ok. My mother-in-law initially ordered the shrimp and grits, but had to send it back because it was too salty. She replaced it with the hamburger steak and said they overcooked it. She is a picky eater though. She also got a cup of she crab soup and fortunately said it was good, but had a lot of potatoes in it. My brother-in-law got the soup as well, but said it was bland. We had a party of 15 and although I thought the service was slow, others in my party said it wasn't given the size. I guess it's just because I'm an impatient person and want service as quickly as possible. I don't think any of of us were really that impressed that we would return.

Food is good! I had an oyster po'boy with those cheese potato balls. Only got 2 & wish I had just ordered a whole side, they we really good..fresh made not frozen. Slaw & hush puppies were a little sweet for my taste but not inedible. Hubs had the red drum special stuffed with crab & had a tasty sauce (maybe lobster?). That was good also. I can't remember our server's name, short blond hair & usually works evenings but was on our lunch shift. She was fabulous. Local gal who can tell you all about how the building ended up where it is now from Hurricane Hugo. I love the decor here! Took some photos for ideas for my own fishing shack

We got here for an early dinner and were surprised by the line! Little did we know, reservations were needed. No worries, we only had a 20 wait. The food was absolutely scrumptious. It was served hot, it was well seasoned, and it came quickly. The deck featured heaters to knock the chill off, which created perfect outside dinner venue! Go now!!

The whole sea platter. Fried.

The wife and I went before going to the marsh walk. It was terrific!!! Got two of the "whole sea" platters and got them old school fried. The food came out less than ten minutes after ordering and was fresh and not greasy at all. Service was terrific, dining room had a sea shack vibe to it like you were in someone's beach get away.

Dinner hour on a Tuesday!

Off we go to find this place. We make it there and see it has plenty of parking spots allocated to the business, yet barely any spots left. That was a good sign! Time to grub. Inside you well see hundreds of pictures of dogs that people have given the business. I'm assuming this allows the owners of those pets to keep their pets alive in memorial. All those pets have passed. It doesn't distract from this spacious building. There is outside dining where you can see the water while eating. The service there is friendly and well trained. The food - man, oh man. We were brought hush puppies and honey butter as a complimentary appetizer. EXCELLENT! The honey butter was really tasty. The hush puppies tasted like corn dogs without the meat inside. Very enjoyable way to start the meal. It was recommended to get the Cajun fish bites. These people must think "Cajun" is a color because the fish had NO FLAVOR! When asked my our waitress how I enjoyed it, I told her I'm from New Orleans and that isn't Cajun. She told me that if she knew I was from Louisiana, she would not have recommended us getting it. Steak on the salad - no seasoning. All the seafood on the platter - no seasoning. This place is a flavor catastrophic event! I turned off my frugal meter since I was on vacation. If my frugal meter was on, I would have not even considered this place. Small portions No seasoning I don't like paying for ambience. I like paying for good food. Period. This place fails. It would be 2 stars, but the honey butter and hush puppies are excellent. Never again will you see me bland food place.

You can blame that on living in the Carolina's for 13+ years and having a neighbor who thinks smoking meat is an art form. Fire to Table looked like a great dinner option for the entire family, so we went early with a reservation. I'm glad we did, as the place filled up quickly. The beer selection was pretty good, and I knew I had to try the BBQ platter to see how it stacked up against others. Everything I had was good - the ribs were tender, the pulled pork had good flavor, and the sauce was tasty. The brisket could have been a little juicier, but I tend to like them as little more fatty than lean, and thicker sliced. But still, very good. The owner stopped by our table and was very friendly. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone looking for BBQ in the Inlet, especially if you want to avoid the craziness around the other restaurants just down the road.

My husband is a disabled veteran who relies on his highly trained service dog, Jewels. When the manager, Corey, seated us, he spoke in a gruff tone and announced that, under South Carolina law, our animal had to remain under the table, with "no petting, no water and no food." He then walked away. The way he addressed us left us feeling unwelcome and singled out before our meal even began. My husband became so distressed by the interaction that Jewels immediately had to begin working to assist him. What should have been an enjoyable evening together became an upsetting experience. We understand that restaurants have legitimate rules and that service animals must remain under their handlers' control. We also carry Jewels' own bowl and water. Our concern is the manner in which management chose to speak to us and the sweeping restrictions presented as state law. The Americans with Disabilities Act recognizes access rights for people who rely on trained service animals. Management should understand those rights and communicate any legitimate requirements accurately, professionally, and respectfully. A disabled veteran deserves to enter a restaurant without being made to feel that his service dog makes him a problem. Over the years, I have experienced disappointments with both the food and service, but I continued returning because this restaurant had been part of my life for decades. This visit ended that loyalty. I hope ownership takes this seriously and provides meaningful training on service animal access and respectful treatment of guests with disabilities. After more than 30 years, it is deeply disappointing to leave knowing we will never return.

They had a few different bars that you could order at, with the main one being inside, another little hut outside, and a cash bar next to that. They also had a pretty cool live band, with a viewing patio right in front of the stage. In regards to my visit to Hot Fish, I'd say I was most impressed with the bartenders at the establishment, who did a great job under pressure. Even though the place was packed, and especially the bar area, they did a great job of remaining calm, and even got our drinks out in a relatively quick period of time. They also made some awesome blue Gatorade shots, which were some of the best shots I've ever had! I didn't necessarily love that there were cops standing guard at the entrance, but the bar's own security staff and bouncers were really nice, which isn't something you see at every one of these places. The only downsides to the Hot Fish Club were that many of the plastic chairs in the outside area were broken and cracked, making it kind of hard to sit a large-sized group like ours (they had a lot of wooden tables, but they were all taken), and that the restroom situation was awful. According to the girls in our group, the actual, physical restrooms were disgusting, forcing them to use the giant line of porta potties. This isn't a huge deal for guys, but it was a little uncomfortable for the ladies. Other than that, Hot Fish was great, and I'd highly recommend stopping by!
