I have always loved Wahoos Fish House. We sat at the empty bar and the bartender greeted us and asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for a chocolate martini. Delicious. He got the usual but I don't remember what it was. He said it went down easily. I decided we would share the garlic shrimp flatbread. There was so much cheese on it, it was outstanding. We were able to bring a few slices home with us. I was full and he decided to get the coconut shrimp. I did not try it but he said it was outstanding. Would I come back here? You know I will. If you see me there, stop by and say hello.

Amazing dinner! Wahoo over risotto and crabmeat and an amazing cream sauce. Calamari and she crab soup was amazing. Surf and turf beef was so tender and flavorful. There was a live band. So fun!! I can't wait to visit again.

The daily specials and the happy hour is the very best at the beach! On Wednesdays, they are currently (April 2026) offering half price appetizers! The crab dip and the wings were perfect! Our server, Stacy, was amazing! We were checked in several times and our drinks never became empty. We love being seated outside near the water. It makes for the perfect setting!

Anniversary dinner last night at Wahoo's Fish House was great. We arrived a little early and were able to get a seat on the patio with a good view of the marsh. Our server was over to get our drink orders and then back out to us quickly. She went through the chef's specials and the fresh catches and asked if we needed more time. We ordered a bowl of She Crab soup to start. We decided on the broiled scallops over stone ground grits for my wife and I had the broiled halibut with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Meals came out in the appropriate time and they were hot, fresh, and the portions were ample. Well seasoned and a good overall flavor. Nice place that we will visit again.

Grouper over spinach and tomato risotto

Service was excellent Apryl was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was lively but not so long you could have a conversation. The food was delicious, I had the Scallops with grits and asparagus. Scallops were cooked perfectly, the cheesy grits tasty, the asparagus was definitely Al dente and could have stayed on the grill a little longer. My wife had the Grouper special with spinach and tomato risotto needless to say she ate it all. I'd recommend this place if you like fish and seafood.

Stopped by for lunch on a stormy day. It's a really nice looking restaurant with a cool "ship" bar. They just opened so we got a great seat right at the windows overlooking the boats and water. Fried green tomato app was delish and would definitely get that again. Shrimp and grits were good, but a little different than what I know of as traditional...theirs had more of a seafood gravy-like sauce. Was good though. Great food, service, and ambience!

We were told by some locals to check out wahoos fish house, we were already at dead dog and we walked the inlet marsh walk and ran into this bar at the end. It had live entertainment and looked like a fun place so we stopped by. In the picture of two drinks on this review you'll find the I let mai tai and the strawberry lemon drop martini. The one on the left is Inlet mai tai and the one on the right is a strawberry lemon drop martini which seems to be a Myrtle beach specialty. The decor / ambiance of the place was very Beach-like, tropical tiki sort of vibes. The singer was singing reggae, and he did it quite well actually! We were surprised, it sounded super authentic. The drinks were both delicious, the music was great and we had a fun time.

This place definitely deserves a 5/5. The service is phenomenal, drinks were great and so were the appetizers. We ordered the crab dip which had a lot of crab in it and the scallops wrapped in bacon served with grits. Best scallops I've had in a while. The view of the inlet from the restaurant is so pretty. They also sell T shirts :)

For my main, I went with the Lobster roll and fries. The lobster roll was also very good. A good amount of lobster meat and the bread was very soft and held the meat well. Only complaint was the fries. They were bland and cooked unevenly. Will skip those next time but otherwise a great meal.

A table of 4 sat a few minutes before we did and a table of 6 sat probably 10 minutes after them. Our table and the table of 6 were served before the group of 4 who had to ask a bus boy for service. Yikes! Server was sweet besides the empty non alcoholic beverage glasses she did not fill when our food came out. She didn't come back to check in on us until my husband's 6 bites of dinner were already gone. I asked if the portion is usually that small (especially in comparison to the significantly cheaper - MASSIVE PORTIONS we saw being served all around us) and she politely said "yes. typically, sometimes a little bigger." As someone with a culinary arts degree & kitchen background I was very very very disappointed on the portion size of his entree for the price & sizes of surrounding entrees being served (that were cheaper or around the same price) and it literally ruined my entire experience. A smidge dramatic but the God's honest truth! Great view, beautiful patio, friendly service - just extremely disappointed. I planned to order both of us dessert and immediately skipped out & asked for the check when the server finally came over to ask how our food was. This review is hot & cold because my experience was. Would I recommend it? I'd recommend going for the best oysters in Myrtle and a clean, friendly facility - but that's about all I can say! PS - $3 "destination fee?" Clearly I'm not from around here, but it was the only restaurant from north Myrtle down to Murrells to charge us a fee for eating there as a tourist.

We chose the outdoor seating, and it was absolutely worth it. Overlooking the inlet, we enjoyed a peaceful view of small boats drifting by--one of those simple moments that makes a meal feel like a mini getaway. I went with the crab cake sandwich and fries, while Helen ordered the Cuban with tater tots. As someone from Virginia, I'm usually cautious with crab cakes--too often they're all filler and no flavor--but this one was refreshingly light, packed with crab, and genuinely delicious. One of the best surprises? The hush puppies. We had heard great things but didn't see them on the menu--turns out, they bring them out complimentary when you're seated. And yes, they absolutely live up to the hype. The staff added to the experience with their friendly, welcoming attitude, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. There are plenty of places we still want to try in the area, but this one has already earned a return visit.

The peel and eat shrimp was the reason we returned. Instead of the typical boiled flavor you find at most places, this tasted almost broiled, giving it a richer flavor that immediately stood out. It was absolutely phenomenal and easily the star of the meal. On our first visit, my boyfriend had the fish and chips and I ordered the catch of the day sandwich, both very good and well prepared. The view is beautiful, there is shaded outdoor seating, and the service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Because we enjoyed it so much, we came back again and started with the peel and eat shrimp once more. We also shared the wedge salad, which we had ordered the first time as well. It was fresh, crisp, and the blue cheese was excellent. We added the oysters Rockefeller and the tuna pizza, both packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. To finish, we ordered two sushi rolls, and once again everything was balanced and thoughtfully done. The flavors complemented each other beautifully. Every dish felt carefully prepared, and the overall experience was memorable from start to finish. We were extremely happy with both visits and will absolutely return next year.

AMBIANCE = 3 The environment was nice. Good amount of open space. Outside deck seating. Nice bar area. 2. FOOD/DRIINKS = 2 We had clamira, wedge salad, Seafood plates. One beer IPA. The veggie selection was not appetizing in appearance. The fish selection was good but nothing special. The 2 was the result of the veggie selection looked burnt overcooked. If this had not been the case it would have been a 3. Next time I would request to have it returned and do without. Mash potatoes were good. 3. SERVICE = 5 Our waitress was attentive and engaging. The food came quickly and was a good temperature. 4. BATHROOM = 3 Clean and maintained. 5. PRICING = 2 The appetizer $16. Salad $16. Meals $42. Beer 20oz $11. Tax is 10%. Plus tip. $169 for 2 people. I would recommend to drop appetizer by $4 and wedge salad to $12. Beer how can a 20oz cost $11.00 for Sweetwater 420. With the push to get wait staff to $15 per hour. Someplace has to give and it will come in the tip area. So think of this it 10% for taxes and 20% for tip. I do not tip on full bill. Only food and beverage without taxes. That is a lift to see 30% for a couple of hour dining experience. If more alcohol from wine to mix drink it would be expensive. 6. OBSERVATION With some Does not meet expectations for food and price. The environment ok. I think at least for the team that took care of us made a difference. I would probably not choose to eat here again as there are a number of options in the area to choose from. The parking was good. Need to get your parking pass signed off by resteraunt. It is free. If not the parking value is $30.00. 7.
