I really only eat here because it is the only acceptable BBQ place in Sugar Land. The ribs are pretty good and I'm a fan of all you can eat side. (I never get a second plate though.. but the concept is nice. They have pretty good sweet tea and I love the fresh baked bread that they pass out. I usually eat 3 fresh baked bread and then one rib. haha So maybe you can say that I don't really go there for the BBQ... I got the fried okra a couple times and it is perfectly seasoned and fried. Crispy and not too gooey on the inside. This last time I went I shared the rib plate with my friend and the guy asked.. "are you Sharin'" and I said yes.. then he said "Hi Sharon, I'm David" It wasn't too funny, but nice to see they have a sense of humor and make work fun. read more

I went to try this place out with my wife and we are really picky when it comes down to eating bbq to tell u the truth. It wasnt all that good the ribs were dry and the only thing that gave them flavor was the bbq sauce. The hot rolls were great and as for the sides, they were not good at all. I was really dissapointed, would not come back and was not worth going. I went to a birthday party here and tried to have an open mind. The employees were nice, they employ a lot of nearby high school kids, which is great. I had the combo plate, ribs, black pepper sausage and ham. It was mediocre at best. The ham had no flavor and the beans I had for a side were horrible. One thing I did like was the fried okra that my friend was eating. I won't be returning. There are much better BBQ restaurants in Houston. read more

Quality Barbeque for a minimum price. I had the lunch plate today which allows you to choose any one meat with the exception of their ribs for $8. They also allow you to load up your plate with the variety of side dishes that are offered, and let's not forget the unlimited hot rolls that are delivered to your table. The brisket was a lean and tender cut with a decent smoke ring, though lacking flavor. Perfectly seasoned brisket does not require the use of barbeque sauce, which is the reason why I rated my experience four stars. read more

I used to eat in here, quite a bit when I lived in Copperfield. I was back in town during the Labor Day Weekend. My girlfriend and I were craving some BBQ, so we decided to come here. And I must say that we were not disappointed. I had the Chopped BBQ Baked Potato, which I forgot how big it was. And she had the lunch plate special with brisket and she had potato salad and I think corn. We both loved it! The baked potato was cooked perfectly and was loaded with BBQ and all the traditional toppings. And her brisket was tender and flavorful. And we each had enough left over for dinner later that night, which was great. And we each had a glass of tea, and it was around $25! You cannot beat that, for the portions and quality of the food. I really miss this place. We don't have many decent places for BBQ in Las Vegas. I wish we had this place there! I also love the ambiance and decor of this place. It is always clean. And the staff is always friendly and helpful. And the vegetables, are ALL YOU CAN EAT! Not to mention, they come around with the most amazing hot rolls while you're eating. It really is a great place to eat. And it's a great place for families as well. The only reason that I'm not giving it five stars, is the BBQ sauce is not really to my liking. I like a thicker red sauce, that's sweet with a little heat. There wasn't much to their sauce. But in Texas, if you're saucing, you're hiding, so that to me, is not a big deal. Love this place. Went to the Spring Creek Barbeque Champions location today and order the combination with ribs, brisket, and turkey--I should have taken a picture to post. The food was good but no way worth $16.00 for the amount of meat that was given. I do not even think they gave 1/2 pound of meat. This is highway robbery for $16.00! I ordered a kid's meal too and there was barely more meat in the combination as there is in the kid's meal for $6.00. Here's a helpful hint: only order kid's meals or find another barbeque restaurant. read more

SO far, my family & I have been to this location twice. My husband went to another location first for lunch & said the food was good & we needed to try it! We tried it, everyone was friendly & the value to food ratio was good! Between the 3 of us, we tried the chicken, ribs, beef & pepper sausage...not one complaint!!! YUM! I didn't love the potato salad, tho. The first time we went the bread girl only came around once & we were there for like 30 minutes, the second time the girl came around 3 times in probably 20 minutes. So they pulled some ho shit on us. I called in for 3 chop bakers they take in my order they tell me it's going to be ready in 10 min. I show up 2 minutes after they just closed and all the employees literally just stand in a group and stare at us outside. I decide to call and tell them I have an order and I'm here to pick it up. Best bang for your buck in terms of BBQ, especially for the lunch crowd. Under $9.00 for your choice of meat, which they pile on, plus as many sides as you can fit on your plate. Is this the finest bbq in Hoston? No. But then again, this is Houston and that is a pretty dang high bar to reach. It is a decent bbq for the price, pretty consistent and worth eating. I like the green beans and the fried okra, and the potato salad isn't bad. The hot rolls are a treat, tho I do wish they'd serve butter, not the fake yellow stuff. Charlie McKinney the manager completely ruined our Texas Independence Day Party last Thursday night May 2nd. I have eaten here before and frequently meet with my Rotary Club here. Last Tuesday night me and 20 of my closest friends and family showed up for the party only to be insulted by Charlie McKinney. We arrived wearing our holstered legally licensed, FBI background checked hand guns and we were told that even though we are American Veterans we were not welcome there. There were NO 30:06 or 30:07 signs anywhere posted. So I know this was likely his personal act of discrimination. He made the bogus excuse that Children and Church members were afraid of guns and would be too disturbed to eat. As a minister of the Gospel I was greatly insulted, and as a Viet Nam Vet even more so. What was going to be a great night of good food and drink ended up being a heart breaking experience. I guess this is how blacks got treated in the 50s so I am able to be even more sympathetic, but considering all the killings and armed robberies of businesses in the area, only a fool would out at night unarmed in Houston. Two little girls were kidnapped in the area only last week. I will never go into a Spring Creek BBQ again. Thankfully there is a Dickey's and a Goode Company near by. read more

We ate lunch here today, 8/01/14 and were amazed at how rude the "roll lady " was. For some reason she ignored out table on nye first pass by and would not even look in our direction. The second time she came around my husband had to call to her to bring some rolls to our table . She came and put one for my husband and one for me. No smile , just boredom or something. I asked for a second roll since I wasnot sure if she would be by again before we left. She proceeded to push around and sort through the basket to find the smallest one! Later she passed by again and refused to look in our direction and went around the entire room except for us.
