Warm, courteous and professional. I had a 3pm appointment and showed up at 230pm. Dr. Kaitlyn was coming back from her lunch break. Instead of making me wait for another 30 minutes. She cut her lunch break short and saw me. My prior eye exam with a different optometrist were standard. The doctors would ask you how your day and then start with asking if 1 is better than 2 and ect. Therefore, I expected my eye examination with Dr. Kaitlyn to be no different. Of course she asked how my day was going but she was genuinely intrested and asked follow up questions. She made our interaction personable. Throughout the exam she would check in on me to see if I was doing ok. After my exam Dr. Kaitlyn had time to hel PM me pick out a frame. She gave me her expert and honest opinion of what would look good on my face. We found a frame that I liked. Thanks Dr. Kaitlyn for making the experience easy and comfortable. read more

We used to have VSP insurance, but now change to Davis Vision; and I am glad they accepted our insurance because they always give us really good deal on glasses as well as contact lens. read more

If you're into terrible customer service... then this is the place to go!! My parents have been coming here for years, and as a result, I have gone to them for years... but NO MORE!! For the past couple of years since I was put back on my parent's insurance, I have had to pay for every visit to this optometry office. Not only do I have to pay... but they make up a different reason for every time I have to pay. This year it was "because your exam is suppose to only be for glasses, but you want contacts" (In the end... the optometrist told me that my prescription used for my contacts could be used for my glasses as well... so what was I paying for exactly?) On my most recent visit, I had to come due to an eye emergency. Even though my annual appointment was only 4 months prior, my vision was very blurry and I needed to see a specialist. So I came in and they charged me the $35 for the exam. I came back for a recheck and was told to come back again for a 2nd recheck. The optometrists are nice... but it's the RECEPTIONISTS you have to look for. Upon my 2nd recheck, the optometrist checked me vision to see how much better it was doing. I thought it was standard.. if you're complaining of blurry vision, they should check your eye sight. When I came out... the receptionist told me that I would have to pay $60 for this visit, since the optometrist checked my vision. THEN she had the audacity to say, "oh were you not told this from the beginning?". Uh.. NO!! No one ever tells me what is going on there... EVER! After much debate... I pay the ridiculous fee and go home. Then I call my insurance company to ask if they were charging me properly... only to be told that Spectrum Vision's optometrists were not covered under my insurance. So all of this time... when the receptionists "check my insurance"... they never told me the little fact that my insurance does not cover this visit, let alone ANYTHING done in this optometrist office. I was paying out of pocket THIS WHOLE TIME!! Every time I leave this place I am furious with the way I am treated and the way they handle things. DO NOT COME HERE... they will rip you off. read more

This place is for Vietnamese. They make white people feel like they don't want your business. I usually don't want to leave bad reviews but this time I want to warn the minority in Westminster. They talk to you in English than they talk about you in their native language laughing and making fun of you. I'm sorry to say this about anyone but this place has no respect. If i could I wouldn't even give them one star!! Yea they have frames and some kinda discount but you can get the frames on the internet for less. Come here for eyeglasses prescription $35. It's cheaper than Costco. Customer service here sucks. The front desk lady is abruptly rude. She isn't interested in recommending what frame would be best for you nor give you helpful info. She just want to sell you frames and get you out quickly as soon as she gets your money. They give you discount on the frames here. But really, you can find the same frame online for much cheaper than after what they discounted you. The lenses I got here were cut smaller than the actual frames that you can see the whites around it. I regretted getting frames and lenses here. I could have gone to Costco for a better fitting on the lenses. read more

Honestly what are you people complaining about? I've been coming here for years. 10 to be exact. I don't live near them. It takes me 40-50 minutes to get to their office, but the drive is worth it for me. There are many optometrists in my area but none as cheap as this place. I've been seen by both doctors and they're both great. Very through. Peter the guy in the lab area is really nice. He can always fix my glasses to fit me perfectly and has even mended my son's broken ones. The older Korean lady is really sweet and the older Vietnamese lady is nice too. Don't mind her grotesque attitude, she actually means good and will get you a better deal. They have a lot of variety in their frames. Oh and did I say they're cheap? I was referred to this place by a friend of mine. Glad I went I needed an exam and glasses and don't have insurance so was looking for a place that wasn't to pricey. Spectrum Vision was great the staff were nice and the price was even better. They got me right in same day, total for the exam, frames, and my lenses was only $120, they even made my glasses within an hour. Only down side they are a far drive for me but I will go back for the good service and the cheap prices. Thanks Spectrum Vision! :) read more

My fiance has been coming here for a couple years and likes the service. I do not have vision insurance so I was looking for a good price on contact lenses. Called around a couple places in Huntington Beach and they were thru the roof!!!! I paid a total of 60.00 bucks for an eye exam and contact lens fitting, pretty reasonable in my book. Ema, I totally agree with you. $35 for an eye exam without any insurance is awesome. Even Costco charge like $49 dollars. Contacts exam is probably the cheapest i've found around this area. The girls who train you to put on the contacts are great and very patient. It took me a really long time my first time, so that was nice of them to help me. Also you can't beat $35 dollars for lens for Single Vision. I got mine done so i can see when i drive. Not only is it cheap, they even gave me free UV coating and Anti-Scratch. The doctors we're friendly and great at answering questions. I would recommend this place to anyone. One last thing. They have an optician in the store and will adjust and fix your glasses for free (if it's not broken). read more

I got exam and eyeglasses here 10 years ago. The lady helped me was very nice and politely talker, it was happy experience. Now, I came back, that lady was not here anymore. The Vietnamese old woman now , her name is Loan, is very rude, impolite and she talked like a person in the fish market. The other young helper who wears eyeglasses also is a very impolite and uneducated one. I can't believe the way she talks to older people than her like that; maybe that is also the way she talks to her parents at home, so trashy, low and uneducated. What a mistake picking out this place! Felt uncomfortable the minute I walked in, which means I should've followed my gut and walked out! I have insurance and planned on paying for the difference on a pair of glasses I liked. The assistant showed me one box of glasses. I asked to see more but she said, "those aren't covered under your insurance". I said, "really?" She said the one's she showed me are the only one's that will fit the frame of my face, and the only one's I could chose from. So, since I can't really see that well, to my own fault, when I picked up the glasses I picked out they seemed way too big for my face. I also had a hard time seeing in them. I returned to explain my predicament and asked if I could return or exchange the glasses. The older office lady said, "we don't take returns". I said, "well, I was never told this." She then proceeds to turn around and underline the flier posted behind her with her hand, "no returns". Well, that's nice. I asked if they could work with me or help me at all since the frames are too big and my eyes aren't adjusting to the glasses. She gazed at me with a smirk and shook her head no. Great customer service - HA! The younger assistant then informs me that my glasses are progressive. What? I did not want progressive. I discussed it with the optometrist and decided to not get progressive lenses. SERIOUSLY!?! What a joke this place is. My receipt consisted of only the total price and I was not told or given paperwork that said, no returns. I'm NEVER going back to this place! I will pay more for better customer service.
