I've been to Asian garden mall for so many years and never thought once to purchase glasses from here. I usually buy them at my optometrist when I get my eye examed and or bloomingdales for my shades. I recently purchased two Chanel eyeglasses at 20/20 vision on brookhurst and McFadden total cost almost 1000 bucks. I came here today and saw the same ones for a lot cheaper!!!!! Even my Chanel sunglasses are cheaper than bloomingdales. I was pretty disappointed in myself. Who doesn't want cheaper right? Ugh well can't go back and return now. But from now on I definitely will be shopping here. They have all sorts of brands from ray ban,Gucci,Cartier, Chanel,tom Ford and much much more. The customer service here is very friendly and attentive. I mean I try on a lot of glasses. Its really hard to find any glasses with the Asian flat nose lol. They were very patient with me and I like that. Parking is not bad on the weekdays. They are located right in the front second level of Asian garden mall. Grade: A- For the most part, we were very happy with our experience at Optical Zone (located on the 2nd floor of Asian Garden Mall). My husband has purchased prescription glasses through them before, and I've purchased sunglasses there. They sell a good variety of high end frames, including hard-to-find Japanese brands (we've always had an affinity to Japanese frames). We brought it our Rx from our optometry office, but the optometry place didn't have any frames that my husband liked. The optician, Tom, is excellent at what he does. He is skilled with cutting and polishing lenses. He also adjusts very well and is knowledgeable about segment heights, pupil distances, curvatures and astigmatism axis...all the factors that make my husband very sensitive to slight changes in his Rx. My husband said he was very satisfied with the glasses and adjustment (best that any office has done). Tom is very concerned with customer satisfaction and works hard to achieve this. Overall, he did a very nice job with my husband's glasses, and the glasses themselves were 5 stars, A+ job. Most other offices said they wouldn't recommend half rims, but Tom was able to make a nice, lightweight pair of half rims for hubby. The only reason they didn't receive a full 5 stars and A+ grade was that it took close to a month for us to get the glasses. There was a small scratch on the lens when we came to pick up 2 weeks after our order. Usually, it takes about a week for regular lenses but they also had to send the lenses to an AR (anti- reflective) coating lab. We drove about 40 miles to pick up the frames only to be disappointed about the scratch. They said they would fix it and it would be 1 more week. They thought it was just the coating that was scratched but found out it was the actual lens so it took another week. The owner called and said they would upgrade his AR coating (Crizal instead of standard), which is usually at least 2x the cost. So instead of an extra week, it took two more weeks to get the glasses back (4 weeks in all). When we picked up the glasses, my husband was very happy with them. Tom was able to fix the minor distortions my husband felt with the slight Rx change. They also gave a little bit of money back, so a nice lunch was on them that day. Would we return to them after our experience? Yes. We were very happy with them overall and hope that our next visit will be 5 stars. read more

I stopped by this location because I was looking for prescription Chanel eye glasses. I went on the Chanel website and this location was listed as a provider for Chanel frames. This shop is located in a mall and there is plenty of parking space. I stopped by to look at the different style frames that were being offered. They have a wide selection of designer frames. Their Chanel selection was fantastic and I found a frame that I really liked. The Chanel frames were a little over my budget and with the blue light lenses I thought this was going to cost me a fortune. Thankfully, the owner Bo was very kind and friendly and he gave me a really good discount. I got the Chanel frames and the lenses with blue light at a lower price than the Chanel frames were listed as. This was such a generous discount. Other places I called prior to finding this place were charging me twice the amount I paid here. The service is absolutely amazing. I was greeted right away and Bo and Kim took their time to assist me. They made sure I was happy with my purchase and they answered all my questions. When I went to pick up my glasses, they were perfect. The fit was perfect and Bo was able to adjust them even more to make the fitting comfortable. I really appreciate the amazing service that was provided to me. The prices here cannot be beat by any other place. Out of all the places I called, this place was the cheapest by far! They have good quality items and a lot of different frames to pick from. I definitely recommend this place and I will buy my future frames from here. read more

Have purchased these brands from them, from Kazuo Kawasaki, Mont Blanc, Ray Ban, Armani, Silhouette, Oakley. All turned out PERFECTLY. Beau is REALLY good in adjusting the frame for a perfect fit. Somehow, if the nose piece is not perfect, your glasses will slant haha! read more

We love coming to Optical Zone for all our glasses and sunglasses needs. We have been coming to them for 20 years! They always give us a good deal and great customer service, overall. We don't live close by but we come out of our way here and we have recommended to family. All the staff is excellent but Uncle Tom is one of my favorites. He is very honest and helpful. For example,once, I came in with a pair of glasses and a damaged lens. I thought I would need to buy new glasses. However, he simply repaired the lens. Bought three pairs of frames here (one prescription and two sunglasses) over the period of a few years. Was impressed with the low prices and willingness to drop the price even lower if I paid in cash. There were certain things wrong with each pair of glasses that I attributed to possibly defects (hence why they were able to sell them so low). I was fine with minor factory defects if I could save some money. Turns out they weren't factory defects at all. After some research I found out at least two of the pairs of glasses I bought were knockoffs. I don't know if they knowingly or unknowingly do this because I know some knockoffs are so well made nowadays. But if you must buy from here, at least educate yourself first on how to spot knockoffs for the pair you're looking to buy. read more

Came in and bought a D&G sunglass for $175 which I thought was a pretty good deal for a name brand. It looked great in the store but when I got home the sunglass looked way too small for my face. I came back two days later and explained my problem. I asked if I could exchange it for something else. I was shocked when they smiled and said yes without a fuss or dirty look. Unlike most Vietnamese establishments. They even allowed me to pick a pair of Raybans which was priced lower and refunded the difference. They are truly awesome and definitely earned my business. Pretty standard procedure, you go in and ask what they can do for you. Although in my case, I had already bought a pair of Oakley prescription glasses frame beforehand and knew it was going to be pricey. The good news is that Tom (the owner) is very good at dealing with customers, answering their questions, and even gave me a discount for the lenses being a first time customer. Though I knew that Oakley's were going to be an expensive proposition, that discount counted for something at least, a small token that the store was willing to give out even though Oakley lenses tend to be quite over-priced compared to the competition. Nonetheless, good experiences all around. Tom spends a fair amount to make sure you're happy with how the glasses fit, but at this price range I imagine they should. Unlike Kaiser Permanente, they're not price gouging you and giving you bad customer service however. I'll probably be back. read more
