I would like to say a few key things about my visit with Doctor Duong & her staff. Professionalism, availability and expertise in eye-care is what they shine in! I found them on Google and saw that they had mass amounts of 5-star reviews, I called in and was greeted by an invigorating young lady. It was very easy to book an appointment the following days, they took all my information over the phone, and simplified it when I came in. The facility; When you walk in you're greeted with hundreds of glasses on display on both sides of the room, at the far-end you'll find the receptionist's desk where she will take your information and set you up. They have state of the art equipment for eye exams, and all other services they offer. The facility was extremely clean and spotless, it resembles a dealership showroom with a new car that's spotless, that's how clean it was! The Doctor; Doctor Duong was easy going and spoke direct, no sugar coating, straight to the point. She has an inviting energy to her where she makes you feel at home, welcomed with a pleasant vibe. You're able to pick up her confidence and knowledge that she has based on the responses she gives you. Lovely doctor & amazing selection of glasses. I came in a month ago for contact and glasses consultation and found out I had a slight eye infection from wearing my contacts continuously for years and years. She was able to write me a prescription to clear the dry spots on my eyes and I was also able to order some super cute new glasses . Two weeks later went back in and found out my infection went away and was able to order new contacts . My son also had an appointment here and ordered nice glasses and had his prescription put on them. We will be back so happy with this place even if the location is in an effy area. I don't like this shopping center and I almost didn't check this place out bc of the area, but I'm so glad I did. So worth it ! read more

My appointment today was quick and seamless. It was my first time here and it won't be my last, I have finally found my preferred optometrist! They take COVID seriously (masks, constant cleaning, locked door, social distancing, etc.) and visits are by appointment only (from what I can see by the locked door). When I arrived I tried to open the door but it was locked, and silly me I did not notice the sign to call or text them to make them aware that I was there. I called to advise them of my appointment and they let me in. The staff was very friendly when I came in. I was instructed to fill out the new patient forms and I was shown the glasses while I waited for the person before me to finish their exam. One of the glasses I was interested in was in a cabinet that they were unable to unlock, but they tried everything to get it open for me. Luckily, they had a new pair of the glasses I wanted and was able to show it to me! The doctor was quick, thorough, and catered to my request to keep my visit cost low. I was there for contacts and I wanted glasses and my insurance only covers one or the other. She broke down the costs of the insurance covering each of them and helped me go the more cost efficient route. Upselling isn't practiced here like I've seen at other doctors I've been to. The glasses selection is good, the staff is nice, and the doctor is thorough. There's plenty of parking since the Stater Bros nearby closed down. If you're looking for a new optometrist, I wouldn't hesitate choosing this place. read more

I was looking for an optometrist and my good friend referred me to Dr. Duong. So far Dr. Duong has been an exceptional optometrist to me and my 3 daughters. She is very thorough and detail oriented. Her staff is friendly and her office is super clean (a plus!!!). They carry a wide array of eyeglasses/sunglasses frames and Dr. Duong will help you to find the best ones to fit for your face. I wanted to get Lasik procedure and Dr. Duong connected me with Dr. Tooma at Nvision to ensure that I am a good candidate for the the Smile Procedure (which I had undergone a few weeks ago). She did all the pre-op and is doing the post-op for me at this moment. I am very happy that I have found a great Dr. to take care of my eyes. Came back to get an eye exam and a new pair of glasses. I barely had to wait for my appointment and quickly got my eye exam. Dr. Duong took her time helping me find a new pair of glasses making sure I could find a pair within my budget while also having some style. When it came down to antiglare and blue light protection, I normally don't get them, but I have been wearing my glasses more often and she explained the pros and cons of each upgrade and helping me find the combination that was right for me. I have been with them since they opened up and had no complaints. This time around was a different story. Had order a very expensive pair of glasses and they came in with some laser etching on the lens. It was explained to me, it was the lettering that identified the lens. The lettering was not in the center but definitely in my field of view and very visible. I told the doctor that I could not accept the glasses the way they were because it would be too much of a distraction. So she offered to replace the lens with a less expensive lenses because she could not get the digital lenses without the laser etching. And, I would have to eat the cost of buying the more expensive digital lenses. Ok, that last statement was in my words but that was how it was. Also, there is the extra time it takes to get the glasses back. Uh! I guess it's time to move on. read more

Stopped by on a Friday afternoon with a friend to do my annual routine eye exam. Since we were in the area for food runs already, why not do an exam to see how horrible my vision has gotten. Upon arrival, the place was fairly empty but then again, the check-in staff told me they had recently opened maybe several weeks back. Luckily for me, I will have the doctor's full attention. My overall experience here was quite nice. The front desk checked me in, I filled out some paperwork and I was immediately seen by Dr. Duong. The procedure was maybe 15 minutes tops. Throughout the entire process, she would ask to see if I had any questions so I knew exactly what was going on. As curious as I was, she didn't seem bothered by my ignorance. Venue: First impression of this place was that it was absolutely gorgeous. There is large variety of frames to pick from ranging from Medi-Cal frames to Versace and Burberry. The space is very large and open and there is a cute waiting area for impatient children who want to play and watch cartoons. Parking: There are plenty of parking spaces since this office is located within a large plaza. Service: Quick and very informative. Price: An eye exam costs $49 but for contacts, it will be a bit more. I believe around $109 and up. read more

Dr. Duong and Diana we're really helpful when it came to all my questions. They have a great variety of glasses from all various price ranges. Their lens quality is really great, and is actually noticeably different from my previous pair. They have a special coating which causes the lens to be a tint of yellow, but it's supposed to reduce the strain on your eyes when you use the computer. At first it was noticeable, but now I can't even notice it anymore. They also gave me a bunch of goodies, such as cleaning clothes, spray, and a calendar. I was actually in this area months ago when my crappy glasses lost a screw. I find that most places I walk in to would charge me a $1 for replacing the one tiny screw. Call me cheap, but I feel that is bad customer service, like they are screwing me. Call me racist, but that has been my experience when walking into an Asian eyeglass store. I should just buy a bag full of screws on Ebay. Or better yet, get better glasses, which I had been meaning to do. Hence, I had expected the same service here, but I was totally wrong. The lady was really friendly, even when I told her I just needed to replace a missing screw. She looked over my glasses, took her tools out and easily replaced the missing screw, and even tightened the other ones. She even got out a little spray bottle and thoroughly cleaned my glasses before handing them back to me. I was pulling out my wallet to hand her the money, when she stopped me and said it was not necessary. At that moment, I had expected her to go into her sales pitch about getting new glasses or at least replace my scratched up lens. Nope. She just asked if she could help me with anything else.
