I would never ever recommend this place. I went in for a simple Tonsilectomy. A proccedure that is…read moreliterally in and out. I ended up admitted to CHOC for almost 3 days. It started with me getting my IV inserted by a nurse. She did not even insert it where it should have been. She inserted it near my inner elbow, despite saying it is usually inserted into the hand, but brushed it off by saying "you aren't 18 yet so it's okay". Had trouble inserting it and getting blood to flow so she wiggled it around a bit till she got a vein and small flow. She didn't flush it either to make sure it was inserted properly which they should always do to confirm proper placement. I went in to surgery and they had wrapped me up like a little burrito to hold me together during surgery. When they pushed the propofol into my iv, they couldn't even see it since my arm was under the wrap! Instead of undoing it and making sure it wasn't leaking, an assistant stuck her hand under the wrap and PULLED MY IV??? It wasn't until after they had pushed the ENTIRE syringe of anasthetic into my arm that they realized it had leaked into the surrounding tissue. They unwrapped me and elevated my arm and proceeded to put a hot pack over where it had leaked. It felt like they were burning my arm with a hot curling iron. I started yelling and crying asking them to take it off and why they were doing that. They simply said it was a hot compression they needed to put. While they were panicking over my arm, another assistant had walked over to my left side and began to try to insert another IV 3 TIMES!! I was in pain and confused before being sedated despite the fact they never should have continued with the surgery. I woke up around an hour later with a chemical burn on my arm. They had told my father who was waiting outside in the lobby that i had woken up. When he asked how i was they had told him there was a "minor complication". Which obviously worries him. When he asked to see me, they told him no and didn't him see me for AN ENTIRE HOUR AFTER SURGERY!? I was groggy and in pain asking to see my father multiple times and they did not let me and told me that it wasn't a good idea at the time because they "didn't wanna worry him". When they FINALLY brought him back after an hour he was obviously concerned. I was given 2 doses of fentanyl and 4 doses of another painkiller to no avail. They were pushing very hard to simply send me home despite the burn and the anesthetic simply sitting in my arm. They had an orthopedic surgeon "check" me to make sure my arm was okay. He simple poked and squished my arm a bit to check if it didn't feel stiff, then said i was fine. My father called my sister and they both demanded i be taken to CHOC which they ultimately agreed to. When i was taken, the attending physician at CHOC immediately told my parents i would be admitted. They gave my 5 injections around the burn site to break up the medication which had been pooled under my skin. They also made us aware that a hot pack should have never been used as a compression. They should have used a cold pack for this leak. When brought up to the surgeon at my post op, he INSISTED that it was a hot pack and they had done the correct thing. I met with a burn team during my hospitalization who cleaned and popped the blisters during my stay, then was sent home 2-3 days later with a month of medical supplies for home treatment and met with a Plastic Surgeon that CHOC had set me up with. this all happened in November of 2025, it is July of 2026 and i still have less strength in my right arm and have physical therapy set up to try and regain my strength. would never recommend this place and i am in the process of pursuing legal action.

The nurses were friendly, caring, and did their best. My biggest issue was with the case managers. My father was admitted to the hospital due to shortness of breath, pneumonia, and cancer. He was placed in the older, run-down side of the hospital. During the summer, the room was extremely hot because the AC was not working, and they provided a fan to try to help. The room itself was also very small and uncomfortable. Again, I want to emphasize that we had no issues with the nurses. They were kind and helpful. The problem was the case management. It felt like the main priority was simply getting my father discharged as quickly as possible rather than making sure he had what he needed to safely go home. He was discharged without several necessary medical supplies and we were told they would be delivered afterward. Unfortunately, the vendor could not provide one of the supplies because the prescription they received from the case manager did not include the required model number. The vendor needed an updated prescription before they could send it. I called the case managers repeatedly, leaving multiple messages and calling every day for over a week. No one returned my calls. We eventually had to contact my father's doctors ourselves to try to resolve the issue. This should not have been necessary, especially for a patient dealing with cancer and recovering from pneumonia and breathing problems. It is extremely frustrating and disappointing to feel like the healthcare system no longer puts patients first. Discharge planning should be about making sure patients and their families have the proper support, medications, and medical equipment--not simply getting them out the door. UCI, please do better. Please consider replacing or retraining case managers who are unwilling to communicate with patients and families and who do not follow through on critical discharge needs. Because of this experience, I would not recommend this hospital, primarily because of the case management and lack of follow-up.

There used to be validation for parking (or so I heard) if you visited the facility. Unfortunately, there are no other parking available as St. Joseph Hospital is situated alongside CHOC so most of the surrounding locale is full. Even when I was an EMT dropping off emergent patients for both CHOC and St. Joseph, there were barely any parking for the ambulances! All-in-all, I would still come despite the mandatory parking fee even with a handicapped placard because the facility is worth it (compared to other places like Los Alamitos).

Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care.

I came in specifically because I was feeling unwell and suspected a blood sugar issue--especially since lab work from a different clinic the prior week showed a fasting glucose level high enough to indicate diabetes. Despite explaining this, the Physician Assistant (PA) dismissed my concerns, told me I "didn't fit the profile" for diabetes, and ordered a thyroid panel instead. Three days later, the support staff called to tell me they lost my blood sample and needed me to come back in. When I expressed frustration that they lost my sample for a test I didn't even ask for--while still refusing to run the metabolic panel I actually needed--the staff member literally hung up on me. I only returned the next day because it is within walking distance of my house and I was having the same feeling again, wanting to get to the bottom of what was happening. While the PA on duty that day was attentive, she ended up sending me to the ER for my blood pressure. After waiting four hours at the hospital, the ER doctor confirmed it wasn't an emergency at all. To top it all off, I received another call from the urgent care informing me that they did eventually run a metabolic panel, and my A1C and fasting glucose levels are, in fact, indicative of diabetes. Between the PA completely dismissing a patient's concerns, the staff losing blood samples, and being hung up on, the lack of professionalism and competence here is alarming. Go somewhere else.

He let me know that if the copay for my medication at CVS was too high, I could call the office and he would gladly prescribe an alternative that was more affordable. That level of care and consideration is rare and greatly appreciated. The check-in staff were also very kind and welcoming, which helped make the entire experience even more comfortable. I would highly recommend this urgent care to anyone who gets anxious about medical visits or is looking to be seen within a reasonable amount of time. Of course, the second reading was better. He was very professional and compassionate! I saw Dr. Victor Nekrasov, who did a thorough examination and discussed the symptoms I've been having. I felt that his questions were good, and I did not feel rushed at all during my time with him. He prescribed a few meds, and I was on my way. They confirmed which pharmacy I preferred, and I opted for CVS located across the street. I was encouraged to return to the clinic and/or follow up with my PCP if symptoms did not improve. It was a very good experience overall, and I would not hesitate to return or recommend this facility to others.

First of all i have been wearing glasses since i was 9 years old and i have gone so many different optometrists, but orange circle optometry has been by far the best and i would like to let you know why. Dr Romero was kind since he greeted us (husband & I) and explain the procedure of the check up and what to expect, he took his time to do the check up and was very thorough, Dr Romero always asked if we had any questions or concerns and even asked my husband. We came out of the optometry fully knowledgeable of my prescription glasses and I fully recommend this place for those that dont know where to go, Dr Romero is fully profesional and knows what he is doing compared to the previous optometrists i used to go, I know i will come back to get my eyeglasses done at this place for the service that was provided today. read more

She will put in as much time, effort, customizing, and patient education as it takes to get you to healthy, perfect vision. Hello Optometry also charges low prices, especially given the exceptional amount of time and effort Dr. Cho puts into each follow-up. ... I have poor, complicated vision due to several problems such as Meibobian Gland Dysfunction, Dry Eye syndrome, and eye allergies in my heavily astagmatic and myopic eyes. As a result, at age 35 I'd given up on reaching anything close to adequate vision! I was about to go under the knife for Lasik because in all of my years at various optometrists, no one could ever bring my vision anywhere near other people's. And every other optometrist I'd been to just threw up their hands... it appeared contacts simply could not correct vision as poor as mine. Dr. Michelle Cho showed them all wrong. After walking in off the street and getting a comprehensive contact lens exam, Dr. Cho had me seeing better than I had since I was ten. A couple follow-ups later and I can FINALLY say, for the first time in 3 decades: I can see "20-20"!! I never imagined this would be possible for me without surgery. Michelle had to keep ordering me more and more specialized, practically custom astigmatism contacts and then evaluating exactly how they sat in my eye & how much they moved when I blink to find the perfect, customized prescription for my vision and eye health. She also evaluated and started treatment for my severe dry eye syndrome and allergies. Throughout all this, Dr. Cho explained everything she was doing and observing, and I felt like we were truly working together to fix my eyes. Dr. Michelle Cho is the definitely the most capable, kind, and skilled optometrist I've ever been to. I cannot recommend her highly enough. * * * December 2024: Years later, I still go to Dr. Cho. Every time I go, she teaches me something new about my eyes. She teaches me about my MGD, what the newest treatments are and whether I'm a good candidate, she helps with coupons and prior authorizations... She never gives up and she never gets tired of hearing my complaints! She has all the latest tech and is incredibly up to date on the state of the art. She's also just really funny and sweet, I genuinely like visiting her. Jocelyn is the best!! The whole office is great. Love this place. * * * August 2025: I mean, it's the same problem every time with me. Horrible dry eyes and horrible astigmatism. Yet Dr Cho has endless patience and endless new ideas. She's well versed on all the latest innovations and never stops trying new things (today we discussed using a different brand of contacts and punctal plugs). I don't know how she doesn't get sick of me, honestly. Did I mention my whole family goes to her now? My amazing experience with her has caused my father and my step mother to both switch to Dr Cho. She rarely ever charges me enough, in my opinion, to compensate her for the immense time and effort she puts into our visits. She even deals with my insurance company on my behalf. She called insurance to figure out why my Xiidra suddenly became $800 a month and got it down to $0 somehow. I love Dr Cho. --- August 2026: Words cannot describe how grateful I am that I found this doctor. My eye problems just keep getting worse, and Dr Cho seems to have endless patience for my complaints. Finding the right lenses to accommodate my severe astigmatism is an unending task. But she never ever gets impatient or tells me to just accept that my vision sucks. Instead, she keeps trying different brands, different axes, different dry eye products. She's up to date on all the newest developments and treatments, but she never pushes anything. She's genuinely so warm and friendly that I look forward to our appointments.
