Amazing, professional, kind, friendly office staff! I came in to meet with Ana today to drop off some frames to be fitted with new lenses. My son had broken the arm off my old glasses, and I had spent over an hour trying to bend the metal back into shape and reinsert the screw that popped out to no avail. Fantastic practice. Dr. Alex's approach to figuring an eyeglass prescription was totally different than I've ever seen and left me really happy with where I'm at. I've done eye prescriptions with other doctors, with an in-store exam that's mostly machine based, and now Dr. Alex. The reality is all of the prescriptions are "right" but here we looked at how I use my glasses, a real vision range for computers + phones + books and the varying distances we might see them at. Glasses aren't a 100% fix and this was the first time I've had that both acknowledged AND considered when figuring out a prescription. So glad we finally discovered Dr. Alex! He's just so awesome! We had been going to the same eye doctor for so many years just out of habit. But the office staff were just so blah and over the years had been starting to get kinda grumpy. So I finally decided it was time for a change so I turned to Yelp. Well Yelp came through once again and pointed us in the direction of the Orange Plaza which was so close to our house! A good sign to any office is the front staff - and I had gotten great vibes from the first time I had called to make an appointment. They are always so sweet and helpful! When I went in for my first appointment, again I was greeted with big smiles - all the ladies in the front are super sweet!! Then I met Dr. Alex - Wow! He's just so cool! I really enjoy chatting with him!! It turns out he and his fam enjoy going Disneyland and so do we so we talk about Disney, plus we both enjoy music so we have fun talking about different concerts and music groups! (*I like to tease my friends that my eye doctor is WAY cooler than theirs!) One day while talking about music, I somehow mentioned that I was a huge DEVO fan while growing up and they then mentioned they had Mark Mothersbaugh sunglasses and they asked if I wanted to see them. Pathetic customer service. After being a loyal customer for 6 years I explained to the rude secretary that I needed emergency contact lenses (which I know they had available) and to please reschedule me another appointment. I had to cancel a prior appointment due to work schedule conflicts. She comes back to tell me the Dr won't issue me another pair and I needed an exam. They would not even let me explain the reason why I had canceled the prior appointment. Such bad taste in customer service. The secretary must have been having a bad day because they never treated me like this before. To think that I have referred family members to them and I get treated like this? smh read more

I had never been to an optometrist before, so I did not quite know what to expect, however, any expectations that I had were completely exceeded! It started with Lindsay who welcomed me into the office, and did a quick check, she was super knowledgeable and very friendly. I felt like I was being welcomed into someone's home. Then Dr. Alex - WOW - he did an amazingly thourough exam explaining exactly what he was doing every step of the way. I asked him about all of my options and he took the time to answer every single question. When he finished my exam, which seemed to be at least an hour, he even took me outside to "test" the new prescription. I cannot say enough about his time and care with me! When it was time to pick out the frames, Dr. Alex, Lindsay and Anna all got involved. it was like my frames were the most important part of their day! Anna took the lead on this one, and made me feel relaxed and comfortable, and allowed me to take as much time as I needed to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. She even took the time to research and price out a second pair that I wanted in the future. This review is a few months overdue--as I saw Dr. Alex in August to get a new prescription for multi-focal contacts (or mono-vision, if he thought that was best). He literally spent an hour and a half with me, patiently explaining the ins and outs of what he was doing and why he was recommending what he did. I have NEVER in YEARS of optometric exams have someone be so thorough and so interesting. He put my mind at ease several times and didn't belittle what I already knew or had researched. I went in hoping for better vision with my multi-focal contacts; and, while I ended up with literally the same brand and the degree of correction that I thought would work best for me (which was different than what I currently was wearing), the fact that he gave me options and a number of different contacts to try was worth it! I no longer wonder IF another brand would work better for me (it's a very individual preference and Alex acknowledges that). Instead of just thankful that I can now see better, I am ALSO thankful that I'm convinced that I got the best brand for me at this time! All those who work in the office were helpful and pleasant as well. And it was so easy to just park in the back and call when I needed service (to deliver my ordered contacts) or when it was time for my exam I FULLY ENDORSE Dr. Alex and his staff!! read more

I don't think I could say enough good things about Orange Circle Optometry. This is such a great group of people who are so genuinely kind and caring. Before seeing Alex for an eye exam, I hadn't been to an optometrist in a few years and my glasses were at least 5 years old. (Not due to any fear, just a busy person and the last optometrist gave me a funky prescription so I didn't update my lenses). I called for an appointment since I've had a bit of time off due to Covid and lucked out with a last minute appointment! Alex makes the eye exam process so easy and explains everything so well, which was great since it'd been so long since I'd had an exam. He really listens to you as a patient, too. I didn't want a prescription too magnified since I only have one "bad" eye and don't tend to always wear my glasses since I can still see relatively fine without them. (Not to mention my frames were so old they tended to fall off due to how loose they'd become!) Picking out glasses, I knew I wanted something similar to what I already had and they were more than excited to help me find something that matched my style and ordered a pair of frames for me. I came back once they were in to try them on, and I loved them. What made me feel more comfortable about this was that there was no pressure for me to buy them - they were more than happy to order them regardless. I bought 2 pairs of glasses and both visits to pick them up (I'm local so I didn't mind stopping in a few times to try on and then pick up glasses) were so great. Ly and Gwen helped me out the various times I stopped by for these and they're so kind. Everyone genuinely cares and remembers their patients, and our conversations were so fun. My wife told me to go here so of course I did. So happy I did. It was a great experience from start to finish. Everyone was super friendly. I find it weird to say I enjoyed my time going to the eye doctor by I did. Dr. Nguyen was great and really spent time making sure we dialed in the prescription. I also don't do well with picking glasses so much so mine were 10 plus years old. They worked with me and in no time I picked a pair I love and will actually take out my contacts to wear. It has been over 15 years since I had my eyes checked. I recently had a baby and my eyes just aren't what they used to be. Naturally I was scared and nervous to have them checked out. The process was so quick and easy. Dr. Alex was nothing short of extraordinary and made me feel comfortable. It was like I was talking to a family member! He also didn't force me to buy anything. It turns out that my prescription is really small so he said it was totally up to me! I couldn't believe it!
