A year after my 1st visit to Dr. Ma, I came back because my prescription had obviously changed - I could no longer read small print while wearing my "monovision" contact lenses. After an eye-health exam, Dr. Ma put me through another comprehension vision test. The results demonstrated that my vision hadn't gotten worse, it had actually gotten better such that my contacts were now overcorrecting. When my new lenses finally arrived, I was once again very happy with my ability to read small print up close, while still being able to drive and watch TV without removing my lenses. Extra points to Dr. Ma for obtaining me a set of sample lenses with the new Rx so that I could try them out for a few days before ordering a new supply. He even went the extra mile and got me an extra large supply of samples to allow for the long delivery times I'd be experiencing when ordering my contacts. Dr. Ma takes his time with each patient, and doesn't try to schedule too many too close together. He's not only charming and friendly, he's obviously very knowledgeable about his craft; he understands the nuances of both contact lenses and glasses. Since I've moved to Orange, I had to find a new optometrist. I'm glad I stumbled upon Dr. Bryan Ma's office. I have been going here for 2 years now, and will continue to while I'm a resident of Orange! The whole staff is great. Friendly, personable, and prompt. I always have great conversations with Dr.Ma, and he surprisingly remembered the last conversation he had over a year ago! If that doesn't prove a doctor cares about his patients, I'm not sure what will. He is always willing to help out with my personal preferences rather than just try to up-sell me on products as other offices have in the past. He and his team truly have the patient's best interest at heart. I appreciate that they are a little more up-to-date and modernized with technology than other offices I've been to. Their system allows you to easily make appointments online and even respond to/ask questions via text! Finally, my most recent encounter. She went above and beyond to make sure I got all the help I needed. Upon entering his office, Andrew welcomed me and started the initial vision tests right at my appointment time. Then I moved to the examination room, where I met Dr. Ma. I was there to get two new glasses, so Dr. Ma listened to my annoyances about my existing ones and made recommendations on how these issues can be avoided with the new glasses. it was that time again, time for buttercups eye exam and new contacts. Dr Ma is a client of my family business and I totally believe in patronizing local small businesses when ever possible so that brings me to this review. My daughter tells me she is on her last pair of contacts and can I get her more... well her prescription was up the following month so I decide to make an appointment early. I called Dr Ma's office and they were able to get us in the next day. We arrive at his office and the office assistant is very friendly and greeted us right away. Buttercup was given her preliminary exam with in 5 minutes then taken diretly to the exam room. Dr Ma came in within 5 minutes gave Buttercup a through exam all the stuff that they are supposed to do and more. Had her try on a pair of contacts and then retested her, adjusted her prescription and and gave her a diferant pair of contacts that were better. He also gave me a quick check up to see how my Lasik was holding up. (20/20) told us it would be about 2 weeks before the contacts arrived, we tried on a few glasses and then went on with our evening. 3 days later I get a call that her contacts are in!!! Basically Dr Ma is great and I totally recommend him. read more
