I have been going to Cynthia Broady Optometry for several years and she is the best optometrist I've ever had.

I called the store and got the pleasure of speaking to a lady named Ashley. I asked her tons of…read morequestions and she was very patient and kind to me. I actually asked if they were busy and she said this is when they're busiest and I would've had no idea because she wasn't trying to rush me off the phone like most retailers do. Everybody at the store is so amazing and wonderful and kind. I had never talked to her before and she was just as kind and amazing as the rest of the employees there. I wish more retail shops had more employees like this store does.

But what I wasn't told is based on Dr evaluation she wanted to dialate my eyes. I said no thanks. Female Dr was like just sign a form very pushy for dialation to my eyes. I said NO thank you No to dilation today . Her response Well I can't help you. I said I'm not interested in doing the procedure NO thank you, again. Now If you want the works dialation and other extra stuff this is the place for you. I was told I need glasses for hypotropia and a stigmatism. ***Um..I don't have stem or neurological conditions. Truely google the stuff before you buy their diagnosis! I truely see well and feel this place is making things up to upsell. I walked away smiling because I'm not paying $ for any glasses or more tests If you didn't buy anything then they won't be in business period. Btw 5 stars front desk guy was very patient and helpful.

After an eye-health exam, Dr. Ma put me through another comprehension vision test. The results demonstrated that my vision hadn't gotten worse, it had actually gotten better such that my contacts were now overcorrecting. When my new lenses finally arrived, I was once again very happy with my ability to read small print up close, while still being able to drive and watch TV without removing my lenses. Extra points to Dr. Ma for obtaining me a set of sample lenses with the new Rx so that I could try them out for a few days before ordering a new supply. He even went the extra mile and got me an extra large supply of samples to allow for the long delivery times I'd be experiencing when ordering my contacts. Dr. Ma takes his time with each patient, and doesn't try to schedule too many too close together. He's not only charming and friendly, he's obviously very knowledgeable about his craft; he understands the nuances of both contact lenses and glasses. I will continue to recommend Dr. Ma's practice to anyone in need of contact lenses and/or glasses!

I like to make my appointments to be the very first of the day. Nice and early, get in and out, so I can manage my other plans for the day. So I call, and get an appointment for 9am, which is the first available time. I arrive 8:50. The office isn't open yet, so I hang around outside. Promptly at 9am the doors open. This in itself is a little unusual, normally doctor offices are open, up and running by the time the first appointments arrive. I come in and get checked in. The only person there is the receptionist. So I sit down and wait. 9 o'clock comes and goes. Finally, around 9:10 or 9:15, staff starts arriving. Again - the medical staff does not arrive until about 9:15am. On a day when there's a 9am appt. Once they arrive, they go in the back, hang up their coats, get their coffee, come back out front to their desks, log on to their computers, start looking at stuff on their computers, very lackadaisical with no urgency....and here I am sitting here waiting since 8:50am. Dr. Pop himself wanders in around 9:20. Finally, I get called, and it's pushing past 9:30. Now, I get that few doctors on earth ever take appointments at the exact appointment time. But, it was the office that made my appointment at 9am, not me. And, they don't even show up until 9:15 or 9:20. One occurrence was a rainy day. So, I can hear the staff now saying "It was raining that day and traffic was really bad". Sorry, but every driver living in Southern California knows there's extra traffic on rainy days. So, leave earlier. I certainly was able to arrive on time. And like I say, this has happened on more than one occasion. I mentioned my frustration to Dr. Pop, who said, "Sorry about that". Like I say, they are all very nice people. But at least to me, they've made it very clear, and obvious, they aren't really concerned about my personal time. If you're not going to show up until 9:15, then make my appointment at 9:30. But don't make me a 9am appointment when you don't even arrive until 20 after. 3 times this happened to me. Inexcusable. I'm now seeing another optometrist. Who so far has honored my appointment times promptly.
