I have been going to this Optometry since my early teens and they have always had great service. I once switched to another optometrist because of my insurance and I ended up going back here for a second opinion from Dr. Bowman after the other Optometrist told me I needed corrective procedures. He explained and cleared things up for me, the other optometrist just wanted my insurance money! My experience has been great here. I had an appointment here for the first time recently and I had the best experience at an optometry EVER! The doctors and staff here are so kind and actually take the time to ensure you are taken care of. When I sat in the waiting area I was wondering why it took a little bit of time to be called back, but once I was called in I realised why- the staff truly take the time to meticulously check your eyes and ensure your prescriptions and history/charting is accurate. I love offices like this, as I'd much rather have to wait a little longer but have my doctor take the time to make sure I am correctly assessed. The office location is small, but the people here have big hearts. I had a negative experience with optometrists originally, especially after one let me have a ripped contact in my eye for over a week, so I was not very trusting of optometrists for the longest time. Had an appointment at 9.05 and my baby got sick overnight and was just crying so hard not letting me leave for the appointment. Finally got a bit of time and I can leave for the appointment and I did. Granted I got there late around 9.30. However I went there to see the doctor leaving my sick baby at home, but the receptionist just told me that they won't accommodate for my situation and I have to reschedule. They do not call you to tell you that your appointment is cancelled. They don't accommodate for a situation like this regardless what you go through With a sick baby at home and made my time coming to see the doctor and actually drive to his office to find out this. I am extremely disappointed and just want you know know, They do not see you if you are late. Period. I won't ever see this doctor and will never recommend anyone I know to see simply because of this reason. They won't call you to tell you that you don't need to come in, they just don't fk care read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Bowman for a few years now. Making an appointment is always so convenient and there's hardly any waiting once you arrive. Brenda is amazing! She will answer any questions you have and is super friendly. Now due to the pandemic they are limiting the amount of people in the office and they will take your temperature upon arrival. You of course have to wear a mask inside. There's always plenty of parking! During my last two visits, I was helped by Dr. Lynn. She helped me get a new contact prescription and was extremely diligent. She gave me trial contact lenses to ensure I was able to see properly. I love this office! read more

I went there for years, not a fan. Liked the ladies in the front but felt uncomfortable around the Doctor. We stopped going when my husband was called to change 3 appointments, he changed them all 3 schedule back to back when he went in for himself and 2 of our children was told only 1 had an appointment and the women talking to him was rude about it. We found an awesome Optometry office close by and have not looked back. Edit: Not a fan of you and we decided to change when my husband had this experience with 1 of the ladies. After being thrown into adulthood three years ago, this is the only medical office I have consistently visited. I may have found this place originally because it was the closest optometrist to my home that was covered by my insurance, but it was a great find! The team here has great "bedside" manner and knows what they are doing. I am always confident that they are giving my eyes a thorough check up every time I visit. I'm not particularly happy with their choices for glasses (I ended up getting mine from Warby Parker), but they always get my contacts promptly. I actually found Dr. Bowman while digging around on Yelp last year. Based on his previous reviews decided to give him a go and I'm glad I did. I've had nothing but great experiences when calling and going to office. I enjoy the small office feel with just him and the two ladies at the front and both he and his staff are very friendly. I usually don't take to write YELP reviews but this is worth reading. I have been seeing optometrists, ophthalmologists for a very very long time. I even had lasik surgery..,so I can say I have been to many offices thru the years!! I have been seeing Brett Bowman OD since he started practicing in 2003. This is BY FAR the most professional, courteous and well ran practice ever. Dr Bowman is such a kind, caring person and he is a great diagnostician. He is never pushy or rushes you thru an exam... he IS the type of optometrist anyone would want..... and, he's not hard on the eyes His office staff is fabulous... Sherri is amazing!! Whenever I try on glasses she is helpful and usually I just go with what she suggest because they will always look cute and prescription will be perfect! Another sweetheart is Alma, again these ladies go above and beyond helping with insurance or just anything to help their patients. I had a fluke day off today, called got in right away. Met Brenda for the first time today and she seems lovely!!! My glasses that Sherri picked out for me will be ready next week. While his staff is amazing and I love all of the ladies up front. Dr. Bowman himself has yet to impress me. I don't even see him I see the younger optometrist. And I don't appreciate having the call back to my recent phone call being such a terrible experience. If you can't handle having an upset patient maybe you should allow your team to do the responding. All I called for was a prescription for new glasses because I busted mine. EDIT: So sorry that I forgot to mention that after 6 phone calls and multiple voice-mails that I got frustrated and dropped a single f-bomb. I apologize for using profanity. You are right that it was wrong of me to take my frustration out over voice-mail, however I have a few points to make. 1. Your website states that you are in the office to take phone calls and return messages. If you are that busy maybe more staff should available. If you are that busy you wouldn't have the time to respond to yelp reviews. 2. Its shameful, to use your words, to look up client records to discredit reviews. My mothers feelings and experiences at your office are her own. I did not ask her to leave a review. 3. As for my supposed "attempt to hurt" your business you are doing that all of your own volition by responding to yelp reviews in an unprofessional manner. I have never seen a business owner handle a review in such a way. My review will stay where it is, I stand by what I said. Let me start off by saying that my son (6) dreads doctor visits, regardless of what type of doctor it is or what the appointment is for, he DREADS them. Needless to say, he was not happy about his 1st optometry visit. Fortunately, with a Yogurtland bribe, I was able to get him to go without any tears. Dr. Bowman was not at the Tustin office for our visit but we had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Caputo and can I just say AMAZING, she was so kind and informative. She explained every test and quickly gained my son's trust. The staff was so nice and immediately made us feel welcomed and attended to. They even gave my son superhero stickers at the end of his visit. 5 stars from myself and my son who for the first time ever said, "Mommy, the doctor was nice" on the car ride home. read more

I had my first visit with Dr. Bowman today. The difference between his office and other offices, is night and day. Everyone that I dealt with was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Bowman was great. Answered all of my questions. The surprising part is when he handed me my "prescription". I recently had a very bad experience with another office in Tustin who, after paying 200.00 for an exam, refused to give me my RX unless I ordered glasses from them. The lady in their office was high pressure sales. She was trying to force me to buy. I never went back. I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Bowman's office. Not only do they have many nice frames at a "value" price, but they also carry Coach. Versace, Ray Bans as well as other high-end frames at great prices. No pressure here. You can buy from them or not. But why wouldn't you? They give you the facts and let you shop. They don't hover and try to steer you to the most expensive frames. They don't guilt you or pressure you into buying every upgrade possible. Sherry helped me with my testing and with selecting frames. She is great. Super friendly, knows what she is doing and is just a pleasure to be around. She was completely upfront with pricing, didn't pressure me on any upgrades, she simply made me aware of what was available. It can be intimidating walking into a private Optometry office when there are those other places like Costco or Walmart. But this place is different than any other office I have been in. Ok, I hate to say this but, I'm not happy. When you get a pair of glasses that cost close to $300 don't you get the matching case? I just went and picked up my glasses today and Alma was the only one working and she gave me the glasses and I put them on immediately but, didn't notice til I got home I had a Vogue case! I called her and she said: Oh my mistake. I had to drive all the way back down there and pick up my leather D and G case and return the ugly tweed case she had gave me. I almost feel like she knew and gave me the case hoping she could keep my leather D and G case. No one was in the office but, her and I think she took advantage of that knowing it was my first pair of glasses and wouldn't know better! I don't think so! I will get a hold of Dr. Bowman and let him know since he is such a nice guy I'm sure he'll want to here it. Watch out for Alma! read more

The office was very clean, I really like how he disinfected his implements prior to using them. He sterilized them with alcohol prior to me being examined. His assistants were very bubbly and patient. I didn't know what glasses to choose, but she didn't complain or look annoyed. She was very patient. I went here for the first time last week bc I haven't been to the optometrist in about 10 years. My eyes have been consistently red lately and I was concerned it could be something detrimental to my eye sight. The front desk girls were really nice and attentive. Andrea helped explain my benefits to me, took me into the exam room and made me feel comfortable during the eye test. Luckily, I had the pleasure of having an appointment with Dr. Bowman. He listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I did not feel rushed like other places usually make me feel. I felt at ease after my appointment bc he explained changes I could do to improve my eyes. He also sent me home with a bunch of samples to try out to see if it works before purchasing it. I appreciated that. He said to let him know after a couple weeks if there was any improvement and that if my eyes were still red then he would do a follow up to try another method. Thankfully his advise worked! My eyes are no longer red. So glad I found this place. Super fast as well. I was there for only 20 min. Definitely will be back. read more

Dr. Bowman is great. I defiantly recommend him. I have seen 2 other eye Doctors in the past who both told me I needed 2 different types of prescription glasses. When I came to Dr. Bowman he told me I don't need glasses at all. Clearly those other two providers were just trying to make money off of me and my insurance. He has great bedside manner and is very easy to talk to and answers all your questions without making you feel like your being rushed out of there.
