I called North Tustin Optometric Center, and they were able to get us an appointment right away. The front desk stayed in touch with me until appointment day, and they took our insurance! Our appointments went smoothly, I liked that they gave us times for each back to back appointments, because the three of us were able to go in at our exact time. The whole staff and Dr. Hsieh made the testing very smooth, thorough, and enjoyable! Dr. Hsieh is knowledgeable and personable, as with her entire team. We were able to get our glasses and contacts quickly. Even after the appointments were done, the front desk still kept in touch and updated us about our eyewear status. The whole experience was very smooth, pleasurable and professional. I am looking forward to my next eye exam, instead of dreading it. (Going forward mentioned as AOC) By far AOC is the best Optometry businesses that I have ever been to. My reasons are my 2 1/2 year-old autistic granddaughter who was born extremely premature had experienced some eye problems. A specialist from CHOC prescribed her glasses It was beyond difficult, trying to find a place who was able to get her the glasses that she so desperately needed. I took her too so many different places without any success. Either they could not accommodate her because she is very small or she was difficult to work with due to her autism. Finally, I found a place that was able to accommodate her prescription. At that point although even though they were asking for an exorbitant amount. However, after going into so many different places in Orange County without luck I was going to go ahead the following day to place the order. The same afternoon I was given a referral to AOC from the specialist at CHOC. I almost did not make an appointment, but I am so glad I did.. I can't say enough about AOC, Jenny, who assisted my granddaughter was so patient, kind, and compassionate with her. Finding her s a better pair of glasses, at far less of the price that I was getting ready to pay at the other place. Additionally, before leaving the office after ordering my granddaughter's glasses I scheduled an appointment for my contacts. Once again I was astonished of the professionalism of Dr Dawn Vu and her staff. This doctor is truly amazing. she is kind so professional and she helped me so much. Seriously during my visit I lost my last contact. It was my very last contact. Which for me is a very harrowing experience because I am practically blind without wearing my contacts. Dr Vu came in herself with a new better pair of contacts, she seen me struggling to put the contacts on and without hesitation asked me if she could assist me. I was so relieved and she placed them in for me. I have been to so many eye doctors over the years and her act of kindness is something that no other eye doctor has ever done. They let their assistants handle patients, however, she is one of a kind, beyond professional. Usually, I have to wait three or four days before getting a single pair of contacts because I have a very rare prescription. Dr Vu Had my prescription in stock and that is so surprising. I walked out of there with the gift of much better sight and that is priceless. I need to mention her price for the contact lens examination was half of what others are charging as well .Before leaving, I scheduled my 15-year-old grandson his appointment to have his eyes examined. From here on out, I will only go to Angeles Optometric Center. If I made this review extremely long, it is only because I want to share with others that may be looking for a great eye doctor. Now it sounds pretty far fetched to think I'd drive over 70 miles just to try on different glasses. But what really prompted me to do it was Emily and her hospitality. She works at the front and has been a joy to work with every time I come in for a visit. Last week, I was particularly frustrated with my experience at LensCrafters. I seriously doubted their ability to provide me with a great deal AND they cost a significant amount more than other retailers. Having nobody else to turn to but my old doctor's office, I gave them a call 5 minutes before closing. Emily took the time to look up my account and prescription and provided me with their pricing with my insurance factored into it. That level of customer service alone was the very reason why I decided to drive back to Irvine to purchase my next set of glasses. She didn't have to stay on the phone after the office was closed, but she was happy to answer all of my questions and was so kind about it. Mind you, I could have gone to Costco and paid significantly less without even using my insurance but I was so grateful for her help that I was eager for this office to receive my business for another year. Upon arriving, I was so shocked by the variety of frames available. It was my first time seeing Fendi, Prada, and even Loewe there. Notable mentions include Gucci, Persol, Oliver Peoples, and Cartier. Emily took the time to consult my decisions and even assisted in finding me cheaper alternatives that fit my face shape better. Of course, we ended up with the most expensive frames, but that was on me and certainly not on her. I really appreciated the non-sales aspect of it because at LensCrafters they wouldn't even let me see their non-designer collection because they just wanted me to buy the most expensive frames... a little service goes a long way! I'm extremely happy with my service as I have been for the last 7 years. While I can't promise I'll continually return since I live way further than down the street, it's nice to know that even though I'm not in Irvine anymore, they continue to elevate their product and their service year after year. This place is absolutely the worst place I've ever been to in my life. I took my glasses in to get…read morethem adjusted and they fried my lenses. This was absolute negligence. They took my glasses to the back and bent the entire front of the frame, burnt my lenses so bad she thought it was dirty and kept trying to clean it. I've never had someone in my 20 years of having glasses bend the front part of the frame so aggressively either. EDIT: After going to another eye doctor, I've been told it's likely they were being lazy, did not remove the lenses while heating the front of the frame which isn't common practice, and now the anti reflective coating is burnt.
