Recently, I was fortunate enough to find a great eye doctor with an excellent staff. With that being said I would like to take time to recognize Angeles Optometric Center. (Going forward mentioned as AOC) By far AOC is the best Optometry businesses that I have ever been to. My reasons are my 2 1/2 year-old autistic granddaughter who was born extremely premature had experienced some eye problems. A specialist from CHOC prescribed her glasses It was beyond difficult, trying to find a place who was able to get her the glasses that she so desperately needed. I took her too so many different places without any success. Either they could not accommodate her because she is very small or she was difficult to work with due to her autism. Finally, I found a place that was able to accommodate her prescription. At that point although even though they were asking for an exorbitant amount. However, after going into so many different places in Orange County without luck I was going to go ahead the following day to place the order. The same afternoon I was given a referral to AOC from the specialist at CHOC. I almost did not make an appointment, but I am so glad I did.. I can't say enough about AOC, Jenny, who assisted my granddaughter was so patient, kind, and compassionate with her. Finding her s a better pair of glasses, at far less of the price that I was getting ready to pay at the other place. Additionally, before leaving the office after ordering my granddaughter's glasses I scheduled an appointment for my contacts. Once again I was astonished of the professionalism of Dr Dawn Vu and her staff. This doctor is truly amazing. she is kind so professional and she helped me so much. Seriously during my visit I lost my last contact. It was my very last contact. Which for me is a very harrowing experience because I am practically blind without wearing my contacts. Dr Vu came in herself with a new better pair of contacts, she seen me struggling to put the contacts on and without hesitation asked me if she could assist me. I was so relieved and she placed them in for me. I have been to so many eye doctors over the years and her act of kindness is something that no other eye doctor has ever done. They let their assistants handle patients, however, she is one of a kind, beyond professional. Usually, I have to wait three or four days before getting a single pair of contacts because I have a very rare prescription. Dr Vu Had my prescription in stock and that is so surprising. I walked out of there with the gift of much better sight and that is priceless. I need to mention her price for the contact lens examination was half of what others are charging as well .Before leaving, I scheduled my 15-year-old grandson his appointment to have his eyes examined. From here on out, I will only go to Angeles Optometric Center. If I made this review extremely long, it is only because I want to share with others that may be looking for a great eye doctor. I recently had an eye exam with Dr. Dawn Vu, and I cannot recommend her highly enough! From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff greeted me warmly and made me feel right at home. It's a money machine unfortunately, you may have Caloptima but it only covers eye exam, and they say you have to pay a $30 fee for the retina exam before you can be seen. For that exam, I must say it was quick fast and painless comparing to my previous exams done in other offices. Front desk is personable and works hard to assist you or advise. So ultimately, if you want contacts or the prescription then it's $120. So all in all on the low end you're spending $30. read more

Dr. Vu started me on ortho-k contact lenses for myopia control when I was a child which helped prevent my vision from worsening. It would be zero stars, but we all know that's not an option. My husband was so excited for his appointment that we made weeks in advance. His vision had been bugging him for months, and he was actually following through to do something about it. He was extra excited when he was confirmed via text and email and said this place is really on top of it. He headed off with his drug store readers in hand and list of issues to talk about with the doctor. He was greeted by a flippant receptionist saying he was in the wrong place, he was confused, it was an eye doctor. He showed her the confirmations. She said the doctor left early, oh so I am at the eye doctor he said, as he was looking at hundreds of eye glasses on display. Confused and dismayed he left. read more

I called this location to set up an appointment which was really easy. I came in on my appointment and both front desk receptionist are very helpful and friendly. Dr. Nguyen is also super friendly. She performed my exams. Process is fast and simple. They work with different insurances as far as I know. read more

The old lady in the front gave a rude vibe since the beginning. DR Nguyen did a great job and the other young receptionist was friendly and polite. The old one tho!! I left an old pair of sunglasses for them to put the prescription lenses. When i went back to pick them up, i asked if i could see the prescription frames they had since i didn't look at them the first time since there was another client looking at their inventory. She asked me if i was thinking about getting another pair, which i replied "maybe if i like some that you have". She replies with "well in that case im not gonna show you. Since you maybe might buy some" ...like what!!!?...she then realizes that she messed up and says okay ill let you see some. She didn't even show me the all the glasses i was trying to see some glasses in a case and she pulled glasses from some cabinet behind her. I got my prescription and PD, went and got two other pairs somewhere else. Lost business because of the rudeness and lack of people skills. read more

Dr. Sandoval and Sofia were great! They were very helpful and informative during my visit. Dr. Sandoval was very professional and carefully performed my eye exam. He thoroughly explained the type of vision I have and the type of prescription that would help my eyesight after various tests. After my eye exam, Sofia was also just as professional and sat down with me to help me select a frame. She recommended multiple styles and would provide feedback as necessary. I was very pleased with her customer service and assistance during my visit. I thought that having to process the services and glasses through my insurance would be a long and painful process, but they made it very easy, only requiring a couple pieces of information.
