I went to see my ophthalmologist & he said he wouldn't medically clear me unless the surgeon is Dr. Tooma. I finally get around to getting a consultation & specifically asked for Dr. Tooma. He also had very limited appts since he is the OG in eye procedures! My patient Liason was Jennfier, who is a total sweetheart. Dr. Tooma was awesome in explaining why he recommended EVO ICL over lasix. He was also one of the original surgeons who brought all this technology to California. Now I can see why my ophthalmologist wanted me to specifically see him. I decided to go with his recommendation since he is the expert. Pre-op procedures were very extensive, which I don't mind at all. I opted to purchase the medicated eyedrops through them. The procedure itself was at a different location nearby. Entire staff has been wonderful. I had my procedure done yesterday. I returned to the clinic in the afternoon for a post op check & also came back earlier today. I have not been able to drive due to the healing process, but I should be able to see. I am still sensitive to the light and there's still a lot of inflammation in both eyes. I am gradually able to see better, so it just takes some patience. I am returning for another check up tomorrow. I love how thorough the doctors have been..I feel comfortable knowing I have been in good hands. As long as my vision improves and I don't have to wear contacts or glasses, I can't complain!

I was directed to again have a seat out in the reception room and wait to be called back in to see the doctor. I waited for nearly TWO HOURS after my scheduled appointment time. There were no updates on the delay nor information regarding anticipated wait time. There certainly were no apologies for the delay. After the 2 hours, all the reception staff members apparently left for lunch, as there was no one in sight from whom to seek information. More than a bit perturbed, I left. I walked out the door without ever seeing Dr. Jacobs, MD. As a dentist, I understand that treatment and procedures can sometimes require more time than anticipated. Prior to my appointment, Harvard Eye Associates repeatedly reminded me of my appointment time and of the importance of punctuality. "Arrive 15 minutes early," they requested -- presumably so the doctor will not have to wait for me. Apparently, that only applies to the doctor. Patients absolutely deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. At a minimum, their time has value, and it is remarkably unprofessional to ignore someone waiting --- for 2 hours.

I've never experienced a doctor who seemed so completely void of any semblance of good "bed side manners." The doctor seemed in a hurry to dismiss me and get to her next patients. Scheduling was convenient and location is great with easy parking. Dr Lopez saw me right on time, very patient and discussed my eye health history in great detail. He is ofc very experienced but at the same time very approachable. The assistant staff is extremely helpful with pre-exam tests plus scheduling changes. I also got some good advice ordering new prescription lenses via my insurance. I will update this review for completeness once I receive my prescription lenses. But for now, I am certainly glad I have this option in Tustin versus driving miles in traffic to either Irvine or Newport Beach.

I don't have vision insurance but what I paid out of pocket was reasonable. The first prescription the doctor gave me was not filled properly at Costco so he had to redo the prescription. And when he had to see me a second time he did not charge me. Eventually we got it all sorted and everything is as it should be. The staff here is very nice and friendly. And I will definitely come back here in a year's time.
