I have struggled to find an optometrist that I liked for a while. I switched to Optima because they were one of the few offices that took my insurance. I am so happy I tried them out. All of the employees are courteous and professional. The doctors have corrected my vision better than than others have done and they have taken the time to help me with an eye issue. I have a condition that seems to be getting worse with age where my tear ducts keep clogging. As a result, I end up with blown blood vessels and look like the devil. I've seen several ophthalmologist that would just prescribe eyedrops and tell me to get over it and it just happens. And Dr. Nguyen spent so much time explaining to me that it's normal with aging and how to massage my eyebrow lids so that it will stop happening so often. Thank you. read more

I've had the absolute worse experience here! I found this business online. I scheduled time in my busy work schedule to come here for an exam. I pay a HIGH fee for my glasses even though I have PPO insurance but that's fine I like quality I understand upgrades are not cheap. After 30 yrs of wearing glasses and going through this same routine... I always get a call within a week or so letting me know my glasses are ready to pick up. This business never called me.. I reached out to see what was going on and what a coincidence my glasses were dropped off 5minutes before I called that's why they never reached out???? I go to pick up my glasses and they are completely off. I instantly got a migraine. I informed the receptionist and she responded annoyed "you have to wear them for a week before you can know.... I've been wearing glasses my whole life I knew they were off but I had no time to stand there and argue. I tried adjusting to the glasses for a couple days and I could not drive. I almost crashed. I bring the glasses back and they take a look at them and say "oh haha yeah it is off the lab made a mistake sorry we will send them back" THIS WAS OVER A MONTH AGO!!! They promised they would try to rush my glasses back to me since I had already waited 3 weeks. We are on month number 2 now and I still have no glasses and I PAID IN FULL FOR THESE WHEN I CAME IN FOR MY EXAM!ALMOST 2 MONTHS AGO!! I keep calling and they put me on hold and promise me a call back which the calls don't happen. I have to remind them. Idk what they are doing at this office but stay away! I've had better service at a mall optometrist. SMH. read more

A staff member tried to charge $5 for a small bottle of eye solution that is intended for sample use. I received one in the past as a free sample. The staff didn't mention about the cost when I requested the sample. Once she handed the sample over she wanted $5 for it. My family and I have been loyal customers for years. Thanks to the yelp reviews I found my way here. My left eye started to get very red and irritated so I called in and they told me to hurry in. They were very quick to help me start my papers and get me to see the optometrist. Dr. Tiffany is extremely nice, almost too nice! I have extremely bad eyes, (glasses since the 1st grade), so I have been to many different optometrists and never really liked any until today. She examined my eyes very closely and found that I have damage from wearing contacts, what a nightmare! She carefully explained what that meant, how it happened, and how to make it better. She answered all my questions and gave information to the questions I didn't ask. She gave me a TON of sample eye drops to last me a while and sent me on my way to wear my bottlecap glasses for a few weeks. I am sending all my friends and family to her because they're great. Also, they take patients without insurance and it's about $54 for an exam. Thu and Margarita at the front desk are a great help! read more

I have been coming here since 12'-13'. One of my friends told me about this place. And I instantly was hooked. When I was younger I had a bad experience at a different optometrist. They told me to force my eyesight. Even though I knew I needed help. And never went back until I came here. I've been coming since then. Every year the receptionists treat me like a friend get to know me. I've seen a couple of them come and go. But it's always amazing to see how they interact with the doctors. I went to this place 3 times and the first two I received excellent service both from the doctor and from the staff. But the last time I was there I was "helped" by a guy named Javier who was very rude all around. The weird thing is that I saw him treating other customers in a polite way but not me, I don't know why. I asked from the beginning if he spoke Spanish maybe that was what triggered his bad manners. He didn't even said thank you when he gave me the receipt and change. It's a shame cause the doctor is very nice and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. I understand that everybody can have a bad day and with the pandemic things are not going smoothly, but there's no excuse to treat a customer/patient like crap. read more

I have been a patient here for the past 5-6 years. Appointments are very easy to get. They kindly penciled me in on the same day that I called. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and I always feel like I'm in good hands here. They help you search for frames that fit your face and they help you find contacts that are compatible with your eyes. They also make sure that you get your money's worth in helping you get rebates. Prices are pretty standard ($79 for comprehensive eye exam), but honestly when it comes to your eyes, prices shouldn't matter. Once you find a great office, you stick to it. This place is great! They are always on time with my appointments and have amazing customer service. The doctors are unbelievably personable and HONEST. Need advice on the right frame for your face? The staff is always so helpful with giving you feedback , suggestions, or what I call "constructive criticism". I've been to so many other optometry offices and this one is by far the best. They have a vast selection of frames already, but if there is something you MUST have that you don't see available - no worries - they will do their best to order it for you! I think they have a total of 3 locations now. I've started going to the new one on Edinger in Santa Ana since it's closer to me. The doctors rotate between the 3 offices, so it works out perfectly. Sad to say that I won't be going back here anymore. I wish doctors hired nicer and more courteous staff. I've been going here for two years and I've loved Dr. Tiffany. The only problem I have is how rude one of the ladies who works at the front desk is. I referred my dad here to get his glasses done and he complained about how terrible her customer service was. I was pretty shocked to hear that since I had a great experience. Fast forward a couple of weeks, I come in to get new lens in my glasses and the lady told me that she could take them in but she couldn't give me a pair of contacts to use during the time frame (yes, I'm that blind). I asked her why, my old prescription hasn't expired yet. She told me the last time I was here was in 2013, meaning they didn't record my visit from 2014 in the computer. Weird... Anyways, I go on asking about my insurance, wondering if I can do this instead of the other, paying for this in lieu of that. She failed to listen to what I was asking and kept saying the same thing, "You can't do this, you can only get this." Hopefully they find better staff who are nicer and actually willing to work with patients. read more

Since my optometrist couldn't order the prescription sunglasses I wanted, I went through Optima and the experience has been great. I simply sent Thu at the front desk my prescription and the information on the frames I wanted and within a couple of days they were ready for me to check out before they put in the prescription lenses. I've been going here for two years. You know how health insurance are so hard to understand? I just simply asked them what does my insurance pay for and they gave me a simple easy to read report. My first year I did contacts. The next year I did glasses. Not only did my insurance paid for 99% of the frames (designer), Optima Vision had a 20% off. I only had to pay like $20, but they just said "meh, it's free" Yay!!! Everybody there is so nice. Not only nice, but realistic too. They don't give you any bs.
