Everyone is very nice and there to help you. The equipments are clean and kept clean. They have a huge selection of glasses as varies prices. All of the glasses I've bought from that place were to my satisfactory, and the contacts I've ordered were timely received. I have been a returning customer for several years. It was always a pleasant experience until this time. This time, I brought my whole family (total of 4). We all got eye exam and 3 out of 4 need glasses. I was scheduled for a follow up appt for contacts. I showed up 5 days later and was told you don't have an appt today, nor did you show up on your last appt. I was speechless. I must have super fast onset Alzheimer's because my whole family was here 5 days ago. Without apologizing, this very rude Asian front desk lady (didn't get her name unfortunately) fumbled through her files and said "oh, now I remember, you were here, but the system is not updated...but I don't have an appt for you today for follow up". Say what??? Bad experience continued...Long review short, customer service has gone way way down since I came here for several years. My family will not be coming back here for sure. read more

I've been a customer for 2yrs and I was recommended by my friend. It's short drive from my house and the hrs are ok. Those 2yrs I've gotten prescription sunglasses and I was happy with my 1st pair. My 2nd pair where ok cause sadly not too much selection and the ones I really did like where pricey. When I went to pick them up they fit great everything was good. My mistake was not trying them on outside cause when I wore them to work outside the tint of the glasses was too light for me. So I went back and asked if they can fix it to darker like black. "There is no such thing as black, only grey" said one of the receptionist but in an EXTREMELY RUDE manner that caught me off guard. Well I asked them to fix them she said we will call you when ready. Sorry I don't know the right shades of colors and it's not right that she talked to me that way or anyone else. read more

I started going to Optima Vision end of 2012. By far the best experiences I've ever had from their staff to the doctors. I've gone to two other ones and they're terrible with their time management where I find myself there for hours on end. My first time coming here, I met with Dr. Pham, she was very informative and explained possibilities of what I may have, what may be causing my eyes to act this way, she was very patient with me. She even said that I should toy around with the idea of wearing colored contacts and I caved in and said yes. She gave me like 10 different colors to play around with before making my decision! Cool or what? When doing a follow-up visit for contact fitting, they have a separate room for a staff to work with you one on one. I don't remember her name but she was really nice and patient, because I'm a fool and clumsy especially when put under pressure. She never made me feel like I was an inconvenience or a loser for not getting the damn contact in my eye, although I was thinking that about myself in my head =/ . Alas, after 20 minutes, we got it! I left feeling confident I could do it at home. The following year, I decided to get glasses. I met with Dr. Pham again who taught me about eye exercises for my weak eye and what I can do to strengthen it. She made it very apparent that she wanted to be the one I see for my follow-up. That's when you know she really cares. In my opinion, Dr. Pham takes the time to get to know you and your habits and makes recommendations from it. I've been to offices where they'll rush you to make your decision and they're quick to confirm your prescription and get you out, Dr. Pham was very adamant about follow-ups even when I wouldn't be paying co-pay. This definitely makes me respect her as a Doctor and a person overall. In choosing my frame, Linh helped me. She was by far the most patient person ever, considering I admit that I tend to be very indecisive and difficult when it comes to making decisions (hey! I would be wearing these glasses long-term, long-term decisions freak me out). She gave me recommendations according to my face shape and tried to work with my budget. I didn't find anything the first go around and she suggested I come back the following week for any new shipments since I was considering Tory Burch. I came back and didn't really like any of them. I saw a Ray Ban that I did like, but.. Low and behold, she set down the Dolce & Gabbana Barroque frame (damn it, Linh) and I fell in love with it.. but it was out of my budget. I needed to really digest and think about it. I asked her to hold it for me, which she really didn't have to do that, but she did anyway. I came back and we worked out a price that I was really happy with. I called Linh at the beginning of the year to get my set of contacts. It was a matter of 30 seconds. Not long after, I get a call that my contacts are in. When she says she'll give you a call at whatever time, whatever day, she'll do it. So kudos to her for the excellent customer service. Linh is also great at explaining how insurance works.. even to difficult, older customers. I've seen her in action and man, she's got patience, but she's very straight forward and doesn't fluff anything. When it came to explaining how mine worked (which is like a foreign language to me), she was very clear and concise, so don't be afraid to ask her questions! If you want to know the degree to how great they are.. In doing a follow-up visit, I was asked if I could be bumped back for another patient (even though I was before him).. I didn't even mind to wait.. Sure, I'll stare at the wall for an extra 20 minutes. That's how much I like this place. I never want to go anywhere else, ever, ever. read more

I've been going to Optima Vision for about 10 years and my experiences have always been pleasant. That's why I make the drive from San Diego to Orange County for my yearly check-up. The receptionists and doctors are professional but friendly and very helpful. The last time I was there, the receptionist spent 30 minutes with me going over all the different frames they had and giving me his opinion on which frame looked best. The eye exam is a little pricey, but so worth it. The employees are super friendly, kind and helpful! They pay full attention to all costumers and Dr. Nguyen is the sweetest ever! She doesn't mind explaining or recommending what is better for you, she takes her time with the eye exam and doesn't stop until you are completely satisfied with your new vision! .. The #1 thing I love about this place is the fact that they only sell you what you need, they don't try and make you buy other things you don't need like expensive frames etc. You can also pay half of what you owe and when you pick up your new glasses pay the rest. I have been a patient here for about 3 years or so & the only reason I have been coming back here is because it is so conveniently located next to my place. The doctors have been good (its a hit or miss sometimes). The only big issue I have with them is the damn pricing of my contact lens. The first time I called in to reorder contacts, they had given me the price of $50. Two days later I came in to pick them up and the lady asked for $55. I explained to her that I was given the price of $50 over the phone and she told me that the price has gone up.. (in two days? really??). The next time I ordered contacts the gentleman over the phone told me it was $55 (which I was already expecting). When I came to pick them up they charged me $50 (no complaints here). This time that I went in for an eye exam & purchased contacts, they told me the price has RECENTLY gone up again at $45 and now they are $50. So I asked them how recent and then the lady got super defensive. I explained to her the inconsistencies of the pricing these past three years and she snapped back saying that everything goes through her and that I am mistaken. WTF. I honestly would love to come here since its so close & I am a full time student & I work full time (so time is a very big issue for me) but this last trip there did it for me. I'd rather drive half an hour back to my old optometrist and wait in her packed lobby than to have to come back here again. I am seriously appalled and just plain annoyed. If I wasn't desperate for contacts before my little vacation I wouldn't have come here. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could! I've never received this sort of costumer service until Thursday Jan. 11,2018 from a women named Liz at the front desk around 2:00pm. This was my second visit for the particular reason I went in but have went many times before this, I had came in a month prior for an eye exam and for new glasses. This was my first time seeing Liz work here so she didn't help me the previous time. I asked her about getting new lenses on the glasses I already had because on my last visit I was told I could get new ones to the new prescription that they would put on my new glasses completely free. I asked her about it and she said she could do that but didn't answer my question about it being free. She then proceeds to give me my old glasses with the new lenses minutes after I got there and gives me my total of $460. She did not explain to me what was going into this payment so I thought it was for my new glasses so I ask her to hold on to the glasses a little longer for me. She says okay then tells me but you still have a total of $90, me thinking it was part of my new glasses I give her the money. Then my bf tells me that it didn't seem she was charging me for the new glasses so I go back and ask what it is that she charged me she continues to say the $90 was for my new lenses on my old glasses. She didn't even tell me there was a $3 fee paying with debit cards. Which I would've payed anyway but it's something you let your costumers know. I then state that she never let me know I would have to pay for the new lenses as they had told me that it would be completely free. The whole time giving me attitude and saying that she didn't help me the previous time I went in, which is no reason for her to not tell me what I was paying for because I asked for the new lenses on my old glasses on this visit with her not the last.. just so unprofessional and not doing her work properly read more

I was looking for an optometrist that is open on Saturday's and is close to my place. I stumbled upon this place here at yelp and although there is not a lot of reviews, all of them were very satisfied and happy with their service so I made an appointment for an eye exam and contacts fitting. Got here 15 minutes early and was greeted promptly by the lady at the desk. The place is nice and clean. It is actually better than I expected since there were no photos available on yelp. The assistant who helped me with the test was very nice and funny, he makes you feel comfortable during the series of tests. After this I met Dr. Le and did some more eye exam. He was very professional and at the same time very friendly. He gave me a lot of information about my eyes and about contact lenses. He even gave me some samples of colored contacts that I could try to see what color I would like to order. I spent almost an hour there but they were able to answer all my questions regarding contacts and insurance coverage. I will be back next week to check the fit and order my first colored contacts.
