I get my annual checkout each yeah along with updated lens or new frames. They always have the newest and greatest frames and it always exciting to see the new styles they get. You also get the best prices on their mid to high end frames as well. Very disappointed in my last (and final) visit. I patronized New Optix for the over 4 years and spent thousands of dollars with them including eye exams. Not sure what changed but the last time I went in for new glasses and new lenses on exisitng glasses I was thrown nothing but roadblocks. I wanted new lenses in glasses I has purchased from them and was told they no longer offer that service. I wanted to buy two brand new pairs of regular glasses and was told to "look around" .. no help..The vibe was "We really dont want/need your business". So I left, went to their competitor down the road (see my review) and spent over a thousands dollars there. Sad because I really liked this organization. I guess its true what they say.. I have purchased 2 frames from here. I lost my prescription copy so I called in to ask for another one. They asked me why I need it and I said I want to purchase more frames online. Then, they repeatedly refused to provide me my own prescription numbers in order for me to purchase additional frames outside of their business. These people will not accept you giving part of your business with someone else. It's not only incredibly greedy but is 100% illegal to refuse to provide a patient with his prescription numbers under FTC Title 16 Chapter 1 Subchapter D Part 456 Eyeglass Rule. Don't be like me and lose your copy of your prescription. These folks will try to milk as much money from you as possible. read more

This place is my go-to places for my contacts/glasses. The people who work here are efficient and great at what they do. I've interacted most frequently with Stephanie, and she's great. Really good about taking care of you and making sure you take advantage of any rebates (she's saved us a LOT of money). For example, she encourages us to buy a year's worth of contact lenses so we can maximize our rebate value, but also lets you exchange unopened boxes for a different prescription if yours eyes worsen over the year. Bilingual location - English and Korean (as far as I know). One star off for the wait time (think they should arrange a more organized waiting system), but still highly recommend this place! read more

I've been coming to New Optix for years now, so this review is long overdue. The place is always clean and organized and the staff is very friendly. Crystal is my favorite one there. She has amazing memory and has recognized me every time I've come in since I've met her. She is extremely attentive and sweet. Mr. Nam is also very nice and helpful. There are two older gentlemen with glasses. One is quiet and doesn't speak very much English but is friendly. The other, I believe is the owner, is a typical salesman. Dr. Amy Vo is the best eye doctor I've ever seen. I told her that I wanted to have LASIK surgery but wasn't sure if I would be a good candidate. She assured me that I actually would probably be a great candidate. She referred me to Dr. Lusby at NVISION. Dr. Vo did my pre-op exam and I had LASIK surgery done a week later. She has been doing my post-op exams and has been so kind to even come into work just to see me. Thank you Dr. Vo for being so amazing! This review is a little back dated. I've been here twice in the past to get glasses, exams and sunglasses. Stephanie was really sweet and patient in helping me set up my insurance n what not and selecting a nice pair of shades. They have a great selection of high end, they even have their own brand of glasses that are good looking and reasonable. Jin was cool and helpful in getting then fitted onto my fat head. The eye doctor was also very sweet and gently. Was in and out in less than an hour. Walked out feeling very pleased with my purchase and supply of contacts. I am a return customer. After seeing great reviews about this place on yelp, I decided to check them out since I wasn't happy with my old optometry. Immediately when I walked through the door, I was won over by their huuuuge selection of glasses. They carried a lot of inexpensive glasses from Korea, that were really stylish yet super light and durable. They also carry loads of designer glasses as well. Also, the story was really well lit, neat, and modern. The service was quick and friendly. One of their employees, Stephanie, was super helpful and accommodating. The doctor was very professional and got a precise and quick exam. Afterwards, they'll even have you try on some sample lenses & etc to make sure you've got the right prescription. As a new costumer, I got a super good deal. I walked away really pleased, with super cute Rayban wayfarers for only $150, with polarized lenses. I'm super happy that I went here. Thanks yelp! PS. Being a four-eyed geek since the 3rd grade, I had countless visits to plenty of Optometrists/Opticians and finally I have found my ideal place! Let's talk about: 1. Great selection -No need to expect out of date glasses/sunglasses here! Not only did I check out 20 pairs, Stef was so much fun and had me try on all her favorite brands to kill time as I was waiting for them to put my new lenses on two pairs of glasses. I never got an uncomfortable push for a sale. Which leads me to... 2. Greater service -I had my hard contacts fitted in no time by Dr. Amy. She was thorough with her explanations and answered all my questions. Jin, the Optician, took his time replacing my lenses even though the store was closing up. Did I forget to mention I got here 30 minutes before closing? Jin suggested to pick them up in a day or two but in desperation I asked if there was any way he could finish it today. He nodded and took his time to review and re-review how my glasses fell on my face. Jin bended it to quality perfection despite that by then, it was past 7pm. 3. Greatest price -Okay, okay I admit it... I did ask for a discount (it IS holiday season and my dad's 60th is around the corner)! I was happy because I was given an extra discount! Pros and cons to the growth, however they've always been so inexpensive for exams it keeps me coming back. I always work with Jin so I've never had problems with any promised rebates or services, so no complaints here! These guys are amazing. It's great service, but that's not the best of it. The selection. I'm a C-Section baby...my hat size is 7 5/8. I have an enormous head. Your run-of-the-mill frames would look like spectacles on me. It was great that not only did they have a selection for my size, but had a price spectrum that was really great. Was referred to this place by several people that I work with and had a pretty good experience overall. Went in to check out sunglasses; was greeted by Stephanie, whom was polite and very friendly. Went through different glasses and discussed using vision benefits. I ended up having to special order glasses in the color I wanted. There were some challenges as Stephanie was on vacation at the time the glasses were supposed to arrive so I had to wait a little bit until she returned from vacation to clear things up. Stephanie is definitely the "go to" person for your needs... she had excellent customer service skills and really knows how to get you the best possible deal. **update** Received my reimbursement check in approximately 2 weeks. It's been forever since I reviewed NewOptix. And yeS, I never stopped going here. Why? When you have a good thing, you don't leave :) Ok, I did try another place when I was living in LA and it was too much hassle to drive to Garden Grove. But I learned my lesson and now I drive to garden grove. What makes them stand out? Besides the selection, I love the staff here. Jin is amazing and so knowledgeable just about anything. From insurance to glasses to fitting the glasses. I don't think I ever had a bad/ rude experience here and given that it is a family owned business where they treat customers like family, I don't see their amazing service changing any time soon. Also, both optometrists are really great and they take their time to make sure you are happy with your prescription. I love my eyes and I trust them to be in good hands with New Optix. read more

I've gotten 5+ glasses/sunglasses done here because they're awesome! Pretty quick turnaround time, good service, custom fitting, cleaning and good selection. You can also bring your own glasses and have them just put in prescription lens. The owner is a pretty funny guy too. They have their own brand called NuFace which I've had over 5 years and it's held up very well even after several drops to the floor. It's extremely light and comfortable which I like. It can get a bit packed in there so try to go at non-peak hours. read more

Is been 5+ years since I've had a eye exam. Came here with wifey last Friday evening to pick out frames. The older man that helped us out was a professional. Very calm and helpful. We spoke to him in Korean. Not sure how his English was. Decided on a pair of regular glasses and sunglasses. Both needed prescription lenses. Went back the next afternoon to get an eye exam. The optometrist was nice. Total for the exam, glasses and prescription lenses was $750 with a discount. (Mind you I have really bad eyesight so they have to cut down the lenses and I opted for their special lenses that blocked out UV rays.) He told me the glasses would be ready in about 2 business days and the sunglasses about 2 weeks. I went back on Friday afternoon and both were ready. The same man took his time adjusting both glasses till they just right. Overall they had a good selection of glasses and sunglasses and I've had no issues with my glasses so I'm a satisfied customer. Just bring in a Korean speaking colleague with you just in case. read more

Let me begin by saying I first met Stephanie at their other location in March 2018. I had expressed to her I was transitioning from having had laser eye surgery many decades ago and now dealing with the inevitable of having to have reading glasses. I was still trying out different prescriptions in contacts but wanted to get a head start on finding frames. Although she knew this she never made me feel as if I was wasting her time regardless of whether I was purchasing that day or not. She stayed with me to answer all my questions and show me all my options, even helping me try on different frames....and I tried on quite a bit, yet she never made me feel as if I was wasting her time. When we found a pair that fit my face perfectly while also complementing the shape she wrote the model down on one of their business cards and I was off to finalize my prescription. Now fast forward to August. By this time I had misplaced their business card and could only remember where I met Stephanie so my adventure begins...after retracing my steps on why I was in that area I visited their other location and was able to finalize 2 frames and asked if I could pick them up at the Garden Grove location since it is closer to where I live. The sales rep there that night had said it would be roughly 2 weeks before they were completed and having me pick up at the Garden Grove location would be no problem since that's where they were being made anyways. Within a few days Stephane called me about a couple options I had chosen for both frames to ensure that was what I wanted. This was a huge surprise since most chains would not do this, rather do what the order says (not questioning any oddities) and ask for forgiveness later. This is a true indicator that this company cares for their customers and their needs! Finally, they were able to finish both my glasses a few days before scheduled and when I went in to pick them up Stephanie was there and she remembered me from just our one interaction.....again this made me feel my needs and me were important and not just another dollar sign. Although they were busy she still spent time with me to ensure correct fit and "catch up" instead of shoo me off and go to the next customer. Customer service today is an extinct characteristic but Stephanie has ensured that is not the case. She epitomizes customer service through her care and concern for her customers. You're not going to have a good time if you're not korean basically because they're so pushy with upselling everything and trying to sell you the blue light filter lenses. really good selection of frames for rx glasses. they carry the latest styles of oliver peoples, lindberg, paul smith, o&x new york, etc. at very reasonable prices. no point in going to specialty retail stores when you can try on most brands in one store. if you like plastic frames but dont' have a bridge, o&x makes them with protruding nose pads especially for asian faces. also super service. i spent nearly 2 hours trying on frames, putting my hair up and down, pretending to be at work and then at play. they laughed but were totally okay with it. my lenses were put in under 2 hours and the sales guy spent his time adjusting the frames so that it would fit my face correctly. you can probably find cheaper frames online but since the face is not usually perfectly symmetrical, it's better to try it on in real life and have a professional adjust it for you. read more
