There were always 2 people at one time. When we got there we were 7th in line when we left there were 17 people waiting. Crazy, not good customer service on the weekend and then not to be able to reduce our bill after waiting so long. You can try calling our corporate office. We constantly get emails to come And we'll give you a loyalty discount to lower your bill so we thought we give it a try. Get this they wanted me to pay $15 for a land line I don't need to reduce my bill by $70 and turn in my two boxes, but in June my bill will go back up again $25. It's a loosing battle. The clerk that was closest to me literally told 3 out of 4 customers that they could not help them in the store with anything but a straight purchase and told each customer to go home and call the 1-855 number later to get help. Why bother having a store or coming in to get NO service. The 4th customer was told to take his phone to Best Buy and pay the Geek Squad a fee to transfer his information to his replacement Spectrum phone. Installer says oh they didn't give you local channels. Just call up and they'll fix it. Just hung up. They said they don't have packages that cheap and if we want local it will be $80 monthly. The channels they gave are crap that we wouldn't watch anyway either including several kid channels!! Im 65. So i am taking my equipment back tomorrow and they can shove it! what a horrible company. Over 10 people in the lobby, waiting for the one (1) representativ that was working. I came in at 10:35, for a 10:45 appointment. Just to drop off old equipment . I was second in line, noticing all these other people waiting around the lobby. I saw at least 3-5 screens where more reps could be working, but no one. They don't bother to tell you, that you have to check in on a kiosk when you arrive. Regardless, I waited my turn to get up to the counter. The rep, "salesman", was so busy trying to upsell a customer that just wanted to turn in old equipment too. You could tell this older gentleman just wanted to drop it off and leave. After he left, the customer in front of me went up to the counter, was told he needed to check in first. I thought I was one of the smart ones, making an appointmen, NO! I was asked if I checked in. I told him I had an app at 10:45. He said I still had to check in. Really? I just needed to drop off the old equipment. I even said I'd leave it at the counter, but he told me there were no guarantees that it would be credited to our account. I left, extremely frustrated and mad. First off, 1 representative at 10:30? Second, no sign or notice to tell you to check in. No express way to just drop off old equipment? And then to have an appointment at 10:45 and there's 9 people still ahead of me at that time. What a horrible business. And the audacity to try to upsell products with a lobby full of customers. Your company should be ashamed! Went inside to drop off equipment, 3 attendants. 10 people waiting in line, no one said hello or greeted anyone or even said they'd be right with me...waited 30 minutes just to bump up to the 8th spot in line when, then there were 2 attendants left as the other attendant checked out for the night. It looked like several people were also dropping off equipment. Suggestion: Maybe have a customer service person dedicated to those dropping off old equipment. A five star service experience. Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Raymond Capistrand. A fantastic Spectrum Field Tech. Today he set up a 2nd tv box, fixed signal interference with wires, installed new cables and connector for tv, internet and WiFi, checked my signal strength in each room, discussed the extender I ordered, which I might not need since Raymond replaced the bad cables and connector. Also he taught me about channel 1. Free HD tv and movies. I never knew that. Then, he set up both new tv remotes and taught me how to use them. He gave me 2 paper tv guides which I requested, and he helped he me get the free peacock premium on all of my tv's, for a full year as part of my new service. Not only was Raymond a full service field tech, which means he knew everything about everything Spectrum, but he was also professional, curious, caring and kind...and a really nice person. We have 8 lines of service with Spectrum. We recently asked about coverage in Mexico and were told it was $5 a day, for unlimited talk/ text and 1 GB of data. We added an additional line 2 weeks ago, so this was recent. Now in Mexico and charged $108 for 3GB of data and 3 phone calls. Spectrum says, too bad, you should have clicked a different link when roaming. I say, I was in the store, checked ahead of time and this is what I was told. They say, sorry, but we will give you a $25 credit. I ask for a supervisor and am told, well if we connect a supervisor, you will forfeit the credit, so essentially paying $25 to talk to a decision maker. This is NUTS. I have had them for 9 years, have 8 lines of service and they just don't care one bit.....Very frustrating. read more

This is probably one of the most broken businesses that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. My mother spent an hour yesterday trying to cancel service. She was finally able to get it done. She asked me to return her equipment the next day. No problem, I will drop it off tomorrow morning before i tale her to the airport. I show up at 9:45 they open at 10. There were 4 people already in line. They open the doors at 10 and pull the first 2 people up to the front. There are only 2 employees. After 40 minutes. They are still dealing with the first two. I tell the guy, that I am just trying to return some equipment and everything else ahas already been taken care of. He tells me you gotta wait. I waited an hour and a half and still unable to return the gear. I had to leave. I guess I have to go back and spend another couple of hours just to give them their crap back. If it wasn't my mother's stuff, I would have just left it. I absolutely hate this industry. You have to switch back and forth to keep a reasonable price for TV. What a pain in the butt and horrible customer service. After 11/2 hours they had helped 3 people and there were 12 people waiting. 2 employees. What a joke. read more

There's a few comfy spots to sit while you wait or you can browse some of the newer tech. Spectrum jacked my price to $112 for internet only because I dropped their cable service ( I'm saving $100 a month by subscribing to UTubeTV) I'm supposed to get 500 mbps; just checked-it's 83 which is fairly typical. I worked for charter 20 years ago and we were able to work with our long time customers to retain them. Not now they won't even prorate your bill. If you no longer can avoid this service and you are 1 day into your bill cycle too bad you pay for the whole month whether you use it or not and of you don't pay it will screw up your credit. These assholes are only out for your money. Their offices are understaffed and incompetent. Trying to change different aspects of your service seem to take forever and usually get fucked up in the process. The "Spectrum TV App" is a good example of their incompetent programming ability. Makes you crazy trying to get on the channel you want to watch. I've only had to deal with TV and Internet. I hate to think what the mobile cell service is like.
