Is it easy to cancel, nope, although the call center advocate was helpful this last call and was able to cancel the service going forward, it took over 20 minutes! As a new subscriber, I'm entitled to a free self install/setup (which never works because there's usually a problem with the wiring). They also threw in some perks that appealed to me. We'll give them another chance. When I explained that I'll fix the wiring, been doing it for years, they told me it was far too complicated for me to do. She wouldn't let it go. Her tech can be out on Wednesday. Oh, and it will cost $100+. To do What? As nice as I could I explained that there was no need to do a truck roll, I will fix the physical problem if she could troubleshoot the technical stuff. I guess not. It came down to an ultimatum of either the technician comes out for free or we call the whole thing off. I guess this company needs every last nickel. They wouldn't budge. BTW, I easily repaired the issue with the wire and it would've been a win-win had customer service treated us the way they used to in the past. 9/30/2023 Where do I…read morestart... Eleven days ago I was ecstatic getting fiber... Install was not so great as there were complications and after the first few days slowness.. Also, I wasn't happy that the router was installed in the master but our pc's are in the front of the house.. Problems arose when trying to stream etc... Today's tech: David went above and beyond!!! He immediately required from outside to inside of the garage...very professional and clean lines.. The fiber that was installed through the crawlspace and on my flooring in the back of the house) created issues. David arrived around 3 pm and left around two and a half hours later.. Checked all the signals and made sure everything was up and running.. Excellent customer service! Thank you David for making one happy Att customer!!

When moving to Sparks, we ordered broadband Internet service from 995web.net online. Like Motel 6, we could not get a room for $6 a night, but we did get the best value in town: 3Mbps for $19.95 on an ATT landline. Ordered it online, two days later a wireless modem arrived, plugged it in, and it worked. Wireless Internet service out of a box. It worked perfectly in the kitchen, when the router was moved to the upstairs bedroom, it did not work. Apparently the upstairs jack was not connected, ATT repaired it at no charge since we had "Wire Pro" service. Online video works well. The only drawback with this service is paying $10 a month for a landline for the Internet service to work with. That is until it occurred to me to use that as an incoming line for my home business instead of my cell phone. With the ATT charges, it ends up at $29.95 a month. Fast service, Nationwide telecommunications provider. The only drawback with 995web.net is loosing too much money on gaming sites.

We're in the midst of moving to a new location, and the new location is not serviced by Spectrum. I'm not happy to HAVE to leave Spectrum, but boy did they burn their bridges today. I called to cancel my service EFFECTIVE next month. As soon as the call finished, I returned to my computer to continue what I had been doing, only to find I had no internet. I redialed *the very same number* I had just disconnected from, and the automated system says something along the lines "we recognize your number as a residential customer ...." [um, no, I'm a business customer but okay let's keep rolling]. I won't detail the conversation, but each person I spoke with transferred me to another person. At the end of the 35 minute phone call I had spoken with FIVE different people before they reconnected my internet. I'll miss the high speed - but I am hopeful that my new LOCAL internet service will provide me with top notch customer service.

The price for my internet reached over 100$ for 300mbs. Can you believe that??! I finally canceled, turned in my equipment and they said I had an old modem from years ago that was replaced still on my account. The person in the store told me not to worry about it because it was old and several generations ago and that spectrum didn't provide any information regarding returning the old modem. Like they did that on purpose. Several months later, they just charged me $90 for not returning an ancient modem. A real FU on the way out for a customer of over 8 years. This f*cking company! The worst.
