We have been loyal customers for over a yr. with spectrum. This is a review about the entire company. The WiFi speeds have never been as promised and the cable TV is problematic as well. I have reset the cable box at least once a month for 13 mos. after renting their cable modem to get speeds I never have attained. I had a cable modem that could give me 25 mbps and could have saved $84.00 over the yr if I knew that the promised 400+mbps would never be achieved. Tonight I called to see why my bill just increased by another $20.00 a month, during covid 19 pandemic I started with sales after a 30 min wait, I got nowhere. They could offer me nothing. No discounted packages available . I asked to speak with retentions. I got a girl named Echo in MT, after waiting another 45 mins. First I asked about speed issues and was told well, everyone is online right now what do you expect. I said it had been like this for the entire yr. no answer... The best they could do, for a loyal on time paying customer was to say we could downgrade our service. While on hold I had gone online and imputted our address, and also our apt complex cabana into their website. Spectrum offered the apt cabana next to the pool a double play rate of 104.99 for silver service 5 doors away and they could offer me nothing. I asked Echo and her supervisor why they offered the apt complex cabana a rate that was $40.00 less a month than our bill. And why they could not offer us the same deal. They said they just didn't do that. We are both continuing customers. This makes no sense. We were long time customers of Comcast who amazingly always came up with a solution. SPECTRUM DOES NOT DELIVER ON THE PROMISES THEY MAKE. THEY ARE HEARTLESS UNCOMPASSIONATE DULLARDS WHO ARE SOLELY IN IT FOR THIER OWN GAIN. NO LOYALTY TO GOOD CUSTOMERS. Been without internet for half the day. Family is in the fire hazard area and Spectrum somehow is the only provider who is having issues. Burning through GBs just to leave this review but at this moment I am so furious that we have no other option for a network provider in our area because there is a state of emergency happening and we either have to leave our home to find some unsecured public wifi to keep up with the disaster and if our family is in danger or we end up spending a bunch of money at the end of the month because we used up all of our data. I literally created a Yelp profile just to leave this review. I have never had such bad experience with a service that I didn't give the company the benefit of the doubt until today. read more

Short wait,spoke to David he made it clear he was going to lunch soon. I was requesting 2 things. Replace my remote and see if you could lower my bill? David gave me a new remote and said "your all set". No....told him if he can help lower my bill. He said I would have to go home and call customer service to help me with that. He couldn't/wouldn't help me! I went home called customer service and they lowered my bill $12. REALLY $12???? I went back to this location and a different employee helped me. Helped lower my bill almost $50 a month. Hint: Don't have David help you. Rude and very poor customer service skills that should not be tolerated! My family have been customers Spectrum TV and also spectrum Internet for over 20 years... Recently an adult child moved out of the house who was paying for the Internet... so they called Betran to say hey I am moving out and I want to have my sister become a new member of spectrum... Spectrum failed to inform us that Internet at the house was already paid due to mandatory monthly payment through February 7... When the other sister took over Internet... She started it January 21... Because we thought that was when the cycle ended... Spectrum has now decided to charge double payment for the house Internet and they could have told us when we called together to start the new account on the seventh they basically stole 21 days and double charge the same address... This is not a company that cares about customer service... Because we talked with them and a supervisor told us they would throw away that somebody was taking on the new service right away... They chose not to and furthermore they threatened to take us to collections... Even though we were never ever late in paying our bill... Shame on you read more

I rate this business zero stars and highly suggest if you have options, use another internet service such as Verizon or AT&T. Here is my experience with this company. We had a fire at our home in June of 2015. Our home was destroyed. It took over two months to find a rental as we have 4 cats and 3 dogs. While our home was being rebuilt we put our hard line phone number on vacation hold. We did not want to give up our number. We were being charged 10.00 a month for this service by TWC (now Spectrum) After 6 months we saw that we were being charged 137.50 a month on our statements. When I inquired about this I was told vacation holds are only good for 6 months. They wanted to charge us for internet even though there was no home there and no internet connection. After many contentious calls to TWC we were told they would make an exception and keep us on vacation hold. So here we are March of 2016 and we are finally ready to move back in to our rebuilt home. We contacted Spectrum and to initiate service and were informed that service is already operational. We checked our billing statements and saw that they had in fact been charging us 137.50 per month after the 6 month vacation hold. We chose autopay and didn't realize they were double dipping us on our home and the rental we were staying in. A important factoid here is that the service at our home wasn't even available as the cable connection from the street and house was severed during the fire or rebuild yet Spectrum still thinks charging us for the service is applicable. I have tried to resolve this issue multiple times by phone and going into their service centers. If you like dealing with robots and preprogramed answers then this is the company for you. I feel that we should be credited back the fees charged for services not provided. Spectrum feels differently. The Supervisor Jessica that I was dealing primarily with said it's my fault that I didn't know I was being charged for the last year and should have brought it to there attention sooner. That's B.S! Do you want to be baffled by incompetence? Then this is the company for you! I have an account for my 80 year old mom which includes internet, cable TV and a landline here in Oxnard. Ten days ago I called to cancel the cable. Spectrum turned off her cable AND internet...which is a safety issue as her cell doesn't work well here. My mom called and told them she thought they accidentally shut off the wifi. The woman on the phone repeatedly said "oh no we wouldn't do that." My mom insisted she check and what do you know....turns out they did. A tech had to come out to set it up. He did....BUT didn't give my mom the new password. So my mom called again using her landline (this is foreshadowing). Took the woman on the phone forever to figure it out but finally gave her the password. Suddenly, after my mom hangs up the landline doesn't work. Turns out they turned off the landline now. WHAT??? HOW? ANOTHER MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE FOR AN 80 YEAR old woman. This time I called. Now, I have a long fuse but it blew. I'm pretty sure I asked if they have raccoons over there pushing buttons but then I felt super bad insulting raccoons like that. Honestly, I have never witnessed this level of incompetence in my life. How do you mess up this badly over and over and over? What is the interview process like over there? "Are you terrible at the simplest task? Will you do the direct opposite of every request? Do you have zero ability to handle anything at all? Perfect. You are hired!" So yesterday, while we had a million other things to do we patiently waited for another tech to come out and re hook the landline. We also had to reset all our TV passwords to this new wifi which was never necessary. I realize they are one of the only options in Oxnard and that is just soooooo very unfortunate. Maybe if we all pray very hard another, competent, company will come in and replace them and all those people can go back to giving parking tickets or whatever their chosen way of torturing people and wasting their time might be. read more

Awful customer service. I called to cancel my internet service and they keep transfer me to 4 different people. I called 5 times and they still not cancel my internet. I'm very unhappy with their customer service. Don't use Spectrum. You will have tons of headache trying to cancel your service. Very very terrible!!!!! read more

Simply the worst experience ever . They split company into divisions so it takes 30min to an hour to get someone that can almost handle issues. Outsourced techs that don't leave notes, customer service reps cursing in foreign languages , been called a liar, told their techs dont know what they're talking about ,but billing does so they can charge for horrible services with no sound ,no picture, bad internet , etc etc etc . Horrible ,terrible, the worst ! Use any other cable company, phone or internet provider, unless you feel like poking out your own eyes. They will lie lie lie to take as much money as possible as they port customer service to multiple departments and send work overseas to calling centers in foreign countries that give horrible customer service as well. read more

I decided to replace my old Virgin Mobile wireless and Spectrum was giving a really good deal to customers that already had Spectrum internet service. My service representative was Raymond and his service was outstanding. I had trouble getting some of the info I needed from Virgin Mobile so that I could switch my phone to Spectrum and Raymond was very patient and helpful in finally getting me hooked up. While I was waiting to get the info from Virgin Mobile, Raymond spent the time looking for ways I could save money on my current Spectrum TV and internet plan that I already had. He even looked up my dad's Spectrum plan and was able to save him $30 a month. Raymond was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I know that there are a lot of low ratings for many of the wireless providers, but Raymond made our experience at Spectrum a great one. read more

I was surprised by a very rude customer service. Great that we only have to come to return the equipment and never ever more!!! I am still a customer with multiple accounts. Maybe I will send Uber next time to bring you the equipment in the largest box I can find to pack it into. So, you unpack it and deal with the box. I can't believe you wouldn't take your own carton box you shipped it to me. And never appreciated I returned the equipment safely unopened in the same box. One star because there is no ZERO. To start with, we did not choose Spectrum, our previous provider was bought out by these Yahoos. Spectrum, without a doubt, is the absolute worse company to do business with or deal with. For the past couple of years, our internet keeps cutting out, sometimes 10 to 15 times a day. To make matters worse they keep raising their rates. For the past two days, we have been losing our internet and amid the Covid19 pandemic, we must work from home, which we have not been able to do. We have made several calls to Spectrum to resolve the issue but, to no avail. The first representative we had contact with told us he could not help us and gave us a phone number to call; when we did, we discovered that the idiot gave us the phone number to AT&T. We will see who has the last laugh after this. So far today we have spent about two hours on hold trying to connect with a representative who gives a shit. read more

Terrible service. Here to just drop off equipment they ask me to take a seat. Next guy comes in also to drop off equipment. They tell him it will a half hour wait. Are you kidding me?! Just to drop off equipment. They need to separate out what th embeds of the people are. Some are here to pay a bill, some to get new service, some for new cell phone plans, some to drop off equipment. This way of one big line is inefficient. Horrible customer service in here. Just wanted to return some equipment because I am moving out of state. The store had three employees with the three helping their customers when I walked in. By the time someone got free I walked up to the lady to tell her what I wanted to do. She asked me if I had signed in on their tablet. I told her no because no one was in front taking a name or anything like that. She then proceeded to tell me sorry but they were closed and couldn't help me. I tried calling customer service so they could verify the time but by the time I got through the automated system it was past closing time. The lady on the phone was nice and said she would log in a complaint to the store as well as cancel my services. They really need to get people that want to work retail because unfortunately there are a lot who work just for a paycheck and forget about customer service. read more

I arrived at the Gonzales at Rose office on a Saturday afternoon expecting a long wait. Surprise! A five minute wait yielded a wonderful agent who immediately and without question replaced my broken cable box with a brand new one! I then asked him to look at my account and he found me a discount of $25 a month for a full year! Lastly, I noted that due to a large cable installation next to me, that my speed had slowed down considerably. He offered to replace my router and if that did not cure the problem, then they would send out a serviceman. The whole visit took ten minutes. I cannot imagine better service! I went into the Spectrum Store and fortunately, the wait was fairly short. I traded my separate TWC internet and phone modems for a combo modem and for some odd reason, the customer service rep deleted my phone service! Question: Why would I want a combo modem and not want phone service?! This all happened right at closing time but that's no excuse for being that confused. I told the rep several times what I wanted but apparently, going home was more important than getting the order right. Bottom line - Don't go into the store near closing time! It took 24 hours and several calls to Spectrum to straighten this out. "It's a new day. It's a fresh start." The phone reps were great; the store people, not so much. read more

Completely horrible. Programming is worthless. Internet is spotty at best. We loose connection several times a day. Going to cancel TV services. I cant wait until Verizon fios is available. You cant get cable for $50. That doesnt exist nor does the bundle for 29.90 that is falsely advertised on tv. Did you know that you lease the modem and its added to the 29.90 and you are charged a monthly fee for the tv box and all remotes that you have for your service is also an add on. You will end up paying a whopping 175 dollars a month for a bundle cause you have to also pay surcharges, taxes that are unexplanable franchise fees, peg capital fee, cost recovery fee, ultimate 100 upgrade. They sock it to you and then laugh about the so called bundle. They rob you. I am shopping around as this is robbery. read more
