I had been a Sprint customer since 1999. In the last couple of years I tried to stay loyal despite very poor internet connection, high pricing and very bad service. Usually took 4-5 calls and 3 hours to resolve any issue. Often the call disconnected with no return call. Hmmm maybe they didn't have my number? I am the Mom and wife of a family of four. One of my kids has special needs. Having a reliable phone is of the utmost importance. When my device became problematic...trouble with storage and general use I tried visiting Sprint in person and calling over the course of weeks. No solution. Thankfully, my 16 year old son suggested Verizon. We went there- right by TJs and Wallmart...and were so fortunate to meet Store Manager Antonio Banuelos at the door. He was very professional and was following very careful social distancing practices. We got lucky and had no wait to hear what he had to offer. This experience was like night and day from what I had been dealing with! I felt my time was valuable, my concerns were immediately addressed and right away I knew I was a Verizon customer. It gets better though. Not only did we upgrade/trade in for three IPhone 11 Pros we added another IPhone SE Second Generation. We are paying less now monthly! No surprises or hoodwinks. Also Antonio helped us pick an easy to remember phone number for my son! Did I mention that my phone was messed up? I mean haunted and Antonio is the man who sticks to a job until it is done with perfection. I am so grateful to save my precious photos! As I was in the store several customers came with questions needs as well as inbound calls. I never felt neglected and each of these customers were treated with ultimate professionalism and patience. Verizon is a total fraudulent company. I was with Verizon from 1997 to 2026. They continually lied to me throughout the years. The final blow was selling me a phone for three times the amount of the price of the phone telling me it was free. When I saw the bill the next day, it was nothing like what was represented to me I canceled. I did not accept the phone. It took them forever to refund my expenses and I never got that all back. They are complete fraud liars I would never do business with anything that has to do with Verizon if you are smart. read more

I went in to activate my own phone for a service. Verizon had a $5 special to activate an additional line. Not sure of the girls name (female, 20,s, white). I told her what I wanted and she proceeded to process it on the computer. She claimed that there would be an activation fee of $29.99. No problem, I paid that. A couple weeks later, I checked my bill and saw a $131 charge. Not $5. WTF. Now I have to deal with the corporate store, which doesn't have good reviews either. read more

Just got two new phones two weeks ago and Alex the lady seemed nice, but lied to my wife and I on all of the pricing. We were there for three hours and I trusted Alex at her word. After a little over a week we got a bill for $399.00 dollars for two phones and internet when the price supposed to $185.00....... We requested no up-sales and I have three witnesses that my wife and I told Alex we do not want hot spot plans for our phones. And we were charged for hot spot plans for both phones. I suggest no body go to this location on Victoria Ave in Ventura CA as everything was mis represented price wise. Definitely better hopefully to go store on Mills Road. My blood went up when I got high bill. Do not go to this store on Victoria Ave, and run away if Alex is working by herself at this store. Buyer beware! There's all kinds of hidden fees in Verizon's "deals". I traded in my phone and switched carriers, was told my monthly payments would be "about $110, no higher." A month later comes the bill and it is $187, all sorts of fees they could have kindly told me about before my purchase. I brought in my bill to dispute this and ask why I was deceived. All the sales guy could do was point out the very small print at the bottom of my receipt which said "$40 activation fee". I was also told I would get a discount for auto pay and that was a lie as well. Called customer service and they couldn't help either. The breakdown of charges makes zero sense and they are ripping customers off. You've been warned. read more

I was in there this evening to get my daughter an Iphone 11 for her 16th birthday. I was ADAMANT about wanting to purchase the phone outright, NOT finance, take out a loan, or be signed up for any kind of contract. I already have a month to month verizon Business account, that I can terminate at any time without fees. You would think it would be easy to just buy a phone, full retail price, pay in full at time of purchase... Somehow, despite paying $808 dollars for the phone, he somehow added $50 on to the cost and set me up on a 2 year payment plan for that $50. He didnt give me any of this paper work. I only found it on my online account. By doing that, he locked me in to have to stay with verizon for 2 years. Why would anyone ever pay $808 for a phone, and then finance $50 for 2 years!!? For the benefit of not being able to leave verizon for two years without penalty? and maybe some associated fees? During the signing things process, he completely misrepresented what I was signing. Saying it was something other than what it was, and then blowing up the screen on his tablet so only the signature line was visible. I paused before I signed, realizing I was signing an empty box based on what he was saying. I just didnt think someone could be so nice and helpful AND so blatantly dishonest. Sad.... Edit 10/19....I was able to return the phone, get a refund, and undo the web of commitment they entangled me in. (They had also signed me me up for "Verizon Protection" at $9.95mo) I am waiting to see if the $50 restocking fee will be refunded. read more

I was pretty impressed my first visit to this store. I had been researching and pricing iPhone 7 phones for quite a while and needed to check out some more options. I was near the area and decided to pop in. There was a female employee who greeted me promptly and answered my questions thoroughly and thoughtfully. She didn't push anything on me (like buying an Android when I clearly said Apple) listened to me, and made me feel welcomed. She showed me the iPhone 7 and Plus, offered to order one for me, gave me some good feedback that I didn't know before. Much appreciated! I prefer this location over the location on Mills. I'd recommend coming here instead as the employee are friendlier and it's not as busy. read more

Looking to switch carriers, purchase 3 smartphones, data and voice plans for all and hoped that Verizon would help me. Walked into the store on Victoria, wasn't greeted or even acknowledged. There was one customer in the store and two clerks...it would make sense if I were helped right away, but I wasn't. Customer finished his business, when Wendy asked to help me. Not an enthusiastic offer to help, more like a "you are bothering me but I work here so I have to help you" kind of offer. I explained my business needs, Wendy promptly pulled out a brochure and unenthusiastically explained the plans in a tone that was less than friendly and rushed. I simply asked the cost for 3 lines, smartphones with data, voice and texting to which she replied, "...I'm trying to tell you." I replied, "okay, no thank you" and headed for the door. I overheard her say "good" and she went on to mention something to the customers who walked up to her just then, when all of them roared in laughter. That behavior is not only rude, it's unacceptable and if me or any of my colleagues acted this way, there would be consequences likely not favorable to our employment. I took Wendy's name and made a mental note..as long as Wendy is the example of Verizon's customer service practices, I'm better off walking right out the door. Which is exactly what I did. read more

I was so impressed with Alex, she came to my rescue after after a competitor provider that I had been loyal to for decades dissatisfied me to the point of frustration and tears. Alex was so sympathetic, solved my problem and significantly lowered my monthly bill with all new devices. I think Wendy is the manager here? She is cold and does not give you what you want. She will make you jump through loop holes to brush you off. I tried to get an iPhone 6+ and she told me I had to pay my monthly bill first. Bull. I asked her about the $200 phone credit and she said she didn't know anything about it. I go to the other store on Mills and they get me a 6+ in 10-15 minutes. They also tell me about the credit program and how it works. Very helpful. Victoria store, worst. Don't bother with Wendy. I've been so hesitant to get a new phone simply because of the "this phone does me just fine" excuse however it finally went out on me just in time for the new iPhone 11 to come out. Ordered it with Sky on a Tuesday and had it set up and ready to go by Friday! With such an inviting atmosphere and professional employees, I would see how people love to go in and get new phones every year! I'm extremely happy with my service and my purchase! The sales person Jess, was very miss informed she has no idea what she is doing and has no business being a sales representative for Verizon. Her knowledge of Verizon's policies and procedures is very limited. Her customer service leaves a lot to be desired, instead of good service all you will receive is a major attitude and snappy answers to your questions as if you were bothering her. I was told the Veterans discount wasn't good for the beyond unlimited plan and that the mobile hot spot on the beyond unlimited plan was an extra fee. I went to the store by lowes and I was able to get my Vet discount and the mobile hot spot with the beyond unlimited plan at no extra charge. I'm not sure why this store couldn't offer that same deal but im glad I walked out without getting overcharged by the employees at this store! read more

After dealing with MANY MANY different people for over a week trying to get my a new cell phone to replace one that broke but was still under warranty, I met JIM who was AMAZING!!! He took charge and got right on the phone and explained in great detail what the problem was and assured me that my new phone would be delivered the next day, which it was! I walked in early morning a couple months ago to see if they would help me put a plastic cover on my phone. The first one had bubbled when I put it on. The man was extremely rude. He said he would do it for $20.00 since I did not buy it from them. I told him I have Verizon service and thought it was a simple request. He was a real jerk. I drive down the street to a Verizon dealer on Telephone Road. The young man was very pleasant. He said he did it all the time and it took him a couple minutes. What a difference. When I came to this store, I was frustrated and ready to cancel my account from how bad the mills store had treated me. This store is much better they go out of their way to help you. I was with AT&T for 20 years and thought I was getting a good deal with them and verizon blew theout of the water. However Antonio told me that they got certified to repair cracked screens right there in the store went there tonight the girl there told me that it was not true. I called the insurance that I purchased for my phone to go get the screen fixed locally somewhere she said there is nowhere that I can go to get it repaired that I have to mail it in.Very very disappointed read more

Brought two new iPhone 6's to the Verizon Wireless Plus store on Victoria Ave. to activate and port phone nos. over from another company. Bill patiently assisted and helped walk us through the process spending at least 30 minutes with us fully aware that he would not make a penny. This high level of customer service compared with prior Verizon online chat and phone conversations where errors in activation dates and instructions to receive credit for our old iPhone 5's was not included upon cell phone delivery. By the way, did not assign five stars only because no purchase was made from which to compare others' experiences (but would willingly do so with Bill when the time comes). 11/13/14: Let me repeat that Bill at Verizon Wireless Plus provided exceptional service at no cost knowing that we had purchased our iPhone 6's online. And, yes, another source "misunderstood" our activation date and "overestimated" the credit for our old phones and did not provide the appropriate return envelopes with the new iPhone 6's. Thank Bill for confirming that free donation bags were included instead. So far as I am aware, the guidelines were met and the review was based on our interaction with one employee - similar to another review of the store. Please feel free to involve me in any verification of our exceptionally positive experience with Bill at the Verizon Wireless Plus Store on Victoria Avenue. I am, in this case, grateful that I did not read existing Yelp reviews before visiting the store and will be even less likely to do so in the future. Thanks, again, Bill. You were the best!
