I am extremely disappointed in the service that I received last week. I dropped off my batteries either on a Friday or Monday and I couldn't remember which one I was given three receipts none of which had the date filled in as indicated on the receipts as to when to pick them up I arrived the following Friday so it could've been no more than seven days and I was told that they after seven days O'Reillys claims the batteries as their property. And then I could not retrieve my batteries and that they were sorry to have a nice day. I got a hold of the corporate office and filed a complaint and they opened a ticket and I heard from them one time four days ago. I haven't heard from them since and I've been trying to reach out. I want to know where my batteries are why they didn't wait a whole seven days and how I was supposed to know when seven days was up with the stickers that they give you for receipts not filled out?? Even if it was Friday and not Monday that I turned them in it still hadn't been a full seven days and they still should not have discarded them or taking them home to use them for personal use or whatever it is if they do. I'm still in the process of trying to get my batteries or like returned. Do not drop anything off there it's not worth it. read more

I went in there to buy some new headlight bulbs and the guys in there were so helpful and kind. I asked the guy if he could help me and possibly put the headlight bulb in for me and he said sure let me give it a try . Dominique, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so so patient and try everything you could to replace the bulb . Unfortunately, my car had burned wires so we had to hold off on replacing the bulbs, but he did everything he could even replaced an air filter for me while there.. My husband and I stopped in here last night to buy brake pads/drums for our car. We didn't have to wait; a guy helped us right away. They only had half the parts we needed, but the man called their other store on Saviers and that store had our drums. We were able to pay for them at this store, but pick them up at the other store. I thought this was great - they went out of their way to make sure we got what we wanted without having to go to a competitor's store. It did take some extra driving, but once we found out this location didn't have drums we would have had to drive somewhere else anyway. The store isn't too big, but it's clean and organized. Things are tidy and isles are fairly wide. Overall I'd return here in the future. read more

I ordered a part on line. I was emailed saying it was going to be about an hour and it'll be ready to be picked up. It's been over 4 hours and no email. I've been calling for the last 2 hours and the phone is busy. I'm trying to cancel the order and order a different brand over the phone and online but between the automated system online and the Oxnard blvd store not answering their phone has been a nightmare. Waited in line for several minutes. Once I was helped, I asked if they do battery voltage testing, to which he responded yes. But because there were other customers waiting in line, he wanted me to wait until all the customers were helped first. I was waiting in line for about 10 minutes, with 4 customers ahead of me and several others behind me. Then I waited a few more minutes after. But customers kept walking in. So I left. So I guess I'm not an important customer. Maybe I would have needed to buy a new battery. But, he'll never know. I went to AutoZone one block away, where they helped me when it was my turn... and I didn't have to wait until all the other customers were helped before helping me. Turns out I did need a battery. And it was an yellow optima battery too. So bought a new battery and talked to the manager on duty. Gave the sales associate a good recommendation. Told him what happened at O'Reilly's. And quick to solve my problem unfortunately when my husband went in on Sunday he grabbed the wrong headlight bulb so I had to go back in on Monday and replace it we threw the receipt out because he was sure he grabbed the right one even tho I didn't have a receipt I was sure my husband used our phone number to do atleast an exchange to my surprise he didn't use a phone number either but Isaac was quick to do a card return probably because it was a recent transaction about 24 hours anyways it's nice to be attended by Isaac I really appreciate his patience's and understanding!! read more

(Great service frome Jose today!) Earlier today, I had somewhere to be and it was a very time sensitive situation. I got in my car, started the ignition, fully expecting to run my errand; and, to my dismay, both the battery light & engine light appeared. This has happened before, so I knew the battery would die shortly. At this point, I wasn't at all comfortable just getting a jump then driving the 6 hours round trip for the day, so a friend and I went to this location to get a new battery. I was assisted by Jose today. He was both very professional and courtesy. He swiftly changed out the battery to install the new one (in the rain!), then we were on our way. I asked the lady at the front (Jessica) if she can help me out and she seemed not to care at all about what I needed.I had asked her if she can show me what kind of air filter I needed an she just gave me a long number with out writing it down and said "it's one of those in the red box".I needed a new battery, air filter , engine oil, transmission fluid and power steering fluid but all I got was the transmission fluid and I'll go somewhere else to give them my business. read more

Great service better than autozone. They really are car people. When I call them for a part they always have in stock or can get by the next day, and they carry the same brands that supply the OEMs. Like Gates, AC Delco, Motorcraft. None of that crap like Duralast (the Walmart of the auto parts businesses) that shit breaks every other 2 months. It took me 2 minutes to get what i needed and went straight to the check out section. Anthony (shaved head with a beard and glasses) stared at me and didn't acknowledge me or say anything. When he finally did so, he was very irritated at me for some reason. He called me over with a very abrasive condescending tone so I hesitated a little because it blindsided me. So I went to his register and he rung me up. I asked if there was a military discount for veterans and he asked for an ID. I showed him my military ID but he asked me for the last four of DOD # which I have never been asked before by any institution (even this particular store in the past). After he got the last four by looking at the back of my CAC card, he walks away from me without letting me know what was going on. He starts checking another customer out and completely leaves me confused. So I asked do you want me to pay? I have my card ready. Then he says I'll be there when I get a password? So I tell him"'when were you going to tell me you needed to get a password? you just left without letting me know what was going on". Then he says "I don't need to hold your hand. You were in the military, you know how to wait". So I said "if you hate your job so much, why don't you just quit?". Then he says "you're the one who came in here with a bad attitude". I know this was father's day and this guy probably has issues working on father's day but you make your own decision and are the master of your own fate. Disrespecting a customer, most likely because I was a Veteran, is crossing the line. QUIT YOUR JOB Anthony. Your co-workers had to apologize to me on your behalf. You are a middle aged man who work in customer service and you are in the lowest tier of YOUR chosen proffesion. Please reflect on that. O'Reilly, review the videos and tighten up your customer service standards. As a U.S. Navy Veteran, I would rather relinquish my discount in a heartbeat in exchange for a decent customer service. read more

Horrible horrible experience!! Never again will I go into this place! A young worker walked up to me and my boyfriend asking if we needed help I told him "no thank you, we'll let you know if we do" and he stood there looking directly into my purse! Mind you my purse zipper was unzipped because moments before he walkedd up to us i through my car keys into my bag. He asked if I was sure that I didn't need any assistance (still staring into my bag) and I told him "is there a reason you keep trying to look into my bag?" He thenn asked me if I hAd put any merchandise in my bag. (I clearly had one pack of little connectors that I had barley picked up off the shelf that he saw me get In the first plaCe) I asked him if he was serious and I told him "I have the merchandise In my hand still that you watchhed me pick up because you haven't stopped starring at me since I walked into this store!! You think I haven't noticed you?? But you wana look in my bag that bAd then go a head and look!" I was needing a headlight bulb for my car so I called to ask if they had one in stock and if so the cost. The older guy that took my call had no customer service skills whatsoever and although I had my vehicle information, he seemed as if he was having a "bad day" and acting as if he was being bothered. Finally, he gave me the information I'd asked for........adding that they are NOT mechanics so therefore they won't install for me. So I drive across town anyway to pickup bulb and thanks to a young man whose name happens to be Victor and his EXCELLENT customer service skills I'll use and recommend this store. Glad I went in and didn't let the rude unhelpful behavior that I experienced with my phone call keep me away.
