Omg what DIDN'T go WELL⁉ Amazing help from these knowledgeable guys. Ran in for a Genie garage remote battery replacement and wow, ended up changing my car fob batteries, too, which were dead BIG TIME. I'd been driving to the dealership every time. Now I know. So extremely helpful and knowledgeable Just so nice knowing they're here. Apparently i've been driving by here for 22 years and didn't ever think to stop ‍ Everyone that walks in has been acknowledged and helped immediately and successfully, within minutes. Prices are even MORE, reasonable. THESE GUYS KNOW THEIR STUFF‼ I just wanted to add, while I was there, there were probably 6 to 7 customers that had come in and out quite quickly. Very quick and to the point with their services. One duo was a son and mom, who were picking up the mom's prized watch. She was so extremely happy to get it back. It was heartwarming to see her so happy. Best Friday EVER read more

The service these guys give is great! I found out they will check the "health" of our mobility scooter batteries, so I brought both of them in. Well, it turns out, after working to get the first case open, it had rain water(!) in the case. Bottom line, they opened both cases (not easy with hidden screws), drained the water from the first case, checked all four batteries' health, dried out the rained-in case... all without a service fee. And with a smile. Thanks, Alejandro! read more

The fellas working here tonight were so great to us. Got some sand in my charging port and they helped us get it fixed, and then double checked it would charge too. Also our baby was really lovin' a flashlight and wouldnt set it back down so the fella behind the counter offered us a free flashlight for her, last one he had. She easily set the other light back down after his offer. We appreciate your kindness! Thank you! read more

Excellent customer service. Regretfully, I failed to get the name of the gentleman who helped me, but I will go on Batteries Plus website to leave a review there with my receipt number and perhaps they can give him the proper credit. I was greeted immediately upon arrival. I stated my need and the associate confirmed he could take care of it and he did quickly and efficiently and with a friendly demeanor. I had heard good hearsay about batteries plus, but today it was confirmed. Keep up the good work gentleman! read more

I went to Batteries Plus a few months back and I am so grateful that I did! I live locally and when I came in Jonathan was so beyond helpful with this knowledge. I have a key fob that needed a battery replacement and they have such amazing options to help those like me with these things! Even though I am tech savvy.... sometimes a little extra help can be great! Jonathan did that and more. Got me on a battery replacement plan that is EXTREMELY affordable. Jonathan definitely went above and beyond what others would most likely do when helping others. I hope his manager gives him a raise for the amazing work that he does! Keep it up Jonathan! Took my van in to get a new key fob programmed and some kid brought a little handheld device out with him and he spent maybe two or three minutes and then he said well we just can't do it and he didn't really give me a decent reason but they still charged me $75. And then now I call a locksmith and the guy is here for two minutes and he programs a new key for me. read more

The only reason I came here was to recycle an old lithium ion battery from a cell phone repair. My experience with their actual batteries has been hit and miss so I figured, what the hell; I'm just recycling a battery. I walk in and the guy looks at me and goes "ohh, ahh, mmm" and wants to look at it. So I show it to him and he goes. "Oh no, we can't take that we're not allowed to." Not allowed to? "You have to take that to the county recycling facility" I pointed out that I checked the website and they explicitly accept non-removable lithium ion batteries from cell phone repairs with a fee mentioned in some cases. He ignored me so I drove across town and sat behind 10 other cars for 35 minutes so I could hand them a tiny lithium battery the size of a business card. I gave them an another chance and they handled it this way; And with a rotten attitude. FYI, their website still says they will take this battery as of today. Oh well. You had your chance. read more

I bought a battery for my truck on 9/9/21. Last Friday, it had gone completely dead, .16 volts on the meter. It would not take a charge at all. Back to the store goes I. They confirm that it was at .16 volts. Then they informed me that unless they could charge it to at least ten volts, they would not swap it out!! What? How does this even make sense? On the face of it, this is a defective battery! If it won't take a charge at all, hows it going to charge at all, much less ten volts!! I've been buying batteries for over fifty years, and pretty much have an idea how things work with them. Whoever made this policy needs to attend battery school. I'm pretty angry about this, and I won't let my shadow darken this store ever again. Beware those who are considering buying a vehicle battery because effectively, there is no warranty on them! read more

Awful. DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION!! They lost my ipad 2 months and are not doing ANYTHING other than tell me over and over they will purchase a new one. Well, actually they want to nickel and dime how much they will or will not pay to replace it. The manager Eric is trying really, really hard and the (unnamed) owner is not taking action. A police report will be filed against this location. read more

I took my mobility scooter battery in because my scooter was beeping which means low battery. They told me my battery was strong. Just like new. So I used it for months beeping off & on, thinking it was a different problem. I finally got the money to take it in for repair and they told me i just needed a new battery as it was very low. They also told me that the people working at these battery stores are not properly trained, as there is a certain way to check these type of batteries. So, don't go there thinking they can help you with your battery unless you already know that is your problem. read more

I'm happy to say the last replacement battery that I received has worked for me perfectly since I've received it back in Aug of 2019, I believe. I had one incident where I left my ignition on all night long and my truck would not start that morning. All I had to do to fix it was, I turned the ignition off and let it sit for about 40 minutes then went back and it fired right up without jumping it like a good new battery should. Thank you of Batteries plus and Manager Andy for handling the original problem. I am now very happy with my battery. Hopefully I didn't jinx it by just updating this review. I think it will be fine read more

We were on a road trip to SLO and stopped by Ventura around noon, saw this store on Yelp and decided to fix my daughter's iPhone 6 screen. The staff was nice and offered a discount which brought down from $79 to $59, but it was basically a price match with a previous local store we inquired. The fix was quick and we got the phone back and everything seems working. Then on Friday evening the phone just cracked after putting down normally on a table. Not only that we just noticed that the white pain fell off the top edge screen which never occurred before (see picture). I called the store and asked if they can fix it at a reasonable price given that we just shelled out $59 just three days ago, and their answer is $59 is the best price. Really?? read more

Kia sold us the correct fob, programmed it, and it works! Now, we'd like to return the Batteries Plus key fob for a refund. read more

Over the weekend my Apple TV remote started some behavioral problems and I grew short tempered that even after pressing the buttons twice as hard and giving it a firm talking to, it refused to cooperate. I muddled through the weekend before realizing these gadgets show a fair amount of insolence when the battery begins dying and I can relate to that. My friends/family know that talking to me before my morning jolt of caffeine results in the same amount of uncommunicative blankness. Well played, remote, well played. Taking my daily companion into a retail setting this time of year is just insanity on my part and I'd decided late last night to have an insanity-free day. Knowing the top 25 rankings were airing at 4 and not wanting to miss the mayhem the Big10 is causing among the committee members, I took the remote with me to Batteries + Bulbs in the hope it would be a quick stop. What a pleasant way to start the morning! Promptly greeted and I presented the offending piece of gadgetry to the clerk who immediately knew what I needed. He changed the battery for me and commented it was their biggest seller. So fellow Yelpers, if your gadgetry begins throwing tantrums, get them to Batteries + Bulbs for an immediate infusion of lithium ions. My remote is now back to it's agreeable self. read more

This place just goes to show that any old little business can really offer remarkable service. I was especially impressed with Corey. I walked in with my three year old and we were greeted with a big welcoming smile. I needed a new battery for my car fob and I was in and out in two minutes and for five dollars, which included the actual replacement of the key. But the 5 stars is because Corey went above and beyond to serve me when something unrelated to his product ended up happening. I'm hesitant to post specific details for fear unscrupulous people might take advantage of a good business practice, but suffice to say Corey took a matter unrelated to the quality of his product into his own hands and ended up saving me money because he felt empowered to help me. Wish I could say more about the specifics, but I can defiantly say this company made a customer for life. read more

Wow great place to do business!! I have purchased the random battery here a few times many years ago, no biggie. Just the other day I had received a new cell phone and a piece of the sim card section broke off, after doing a local search for phone repair I headed in to this location surprised that they worked on phones. My particular problem they didn't really work on but they took the time to TRY. I walked out with my phone working!!
