I shattered the outer lens on the telephoto camera on an iphone 16 pro, camera still worked. I brought it in. Guy was nice enough. He took the phone back to be inspected. He came back and said that a larger back piece had to be replaced and it would be over $200. He also claimed the camera wasn't transitioning properly. I suspect that was only because of tape on the back, or shattered glass interfering with focus. I declined and took the phone back to investigate another solution. Ended up buying a $10 DIY kit off amazon that comes with 2 sets of outer lenses for all 3 cameras and tools for removing the old glass and adhesive inlcuded. After 45 minutes I was able to remove all of the old glass and adhesive, replaced it with a new outer lens, and was good to go. Camera works great and clear, and transitions during zoom like normal. I'm willing to pay for service but the difference between doing it yourself $10 and then $200-300 for an independent shop that isn't even the apple store is absurd. Yes it sucks to pick off all the old glass but if I did it with dollar store tools, a hairdryer and no experience, surely a real shop could do it rather than replacing the whole back of the phone. read more

1/5 Stars -- Horrible Customer Service, Zero Accountability, and a Complete Lack of Professionalism I recently purchased an OLED screen replacement from uBreakiFix, working directly with an employee named David. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into an incredibly disappointing experience. Less than 24 hours after the replacement, I returned to the store because the screen was already malfunctioning. I explained the issue immediately and made it clear that I needed the problem resolved urgently, as I was preparing to leave the country for two weeks. Unfortunately, I was told they had no replacement screens available. When I asked what I was supposed to do, David instructed me to return when I got back from my trip. I followed his instructions. However, upon returning, I was met with an entirely different response. Instead of addressing the fact that the screen they installed had malfunctioned within 24 hours, the conversation shifted toward the screen supposedly not being in "perfect condition." Their proposed solution was that I could simply purchase another screen replacement. Nothing more. So essentially, I paid for a premium OLED screen, reported that it was defective within 24 hours, followed their employee's instructions, and was ultimately told that I needed to spend additional money to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, this interaction took place on a Friday. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was told that management would be available Wednesday morning. That's nearly five days later. When I asked for a specific time to speak with the manager, I wasn't given one. Instead, I was handed a phone number and told to call. I called three separate times and received absolutely no response. Think about that. A customer pays for a service, reports a malfunction almost immediately, follows the business's instructions, and is then expected to wait several more days just to potentially speak with someone who might be willing to address the problem. Where is the accountability? Where is the urgency? And more importantly, where is the customer service? What makes this experience particularly disappointing is the overall attitude surrounding the situation. There was an uncomfortable undertone throughout these interactions that felt dismissive, unwelcoming, and completely lacking in professionalism. At no point did I feel that anyone was genuinely interested in resolving my concerns. Instead, I felt as though I was being given the runaround until I either gave up or agreed to spend more money. I've attached a photo of the screen they claim wasn't in acceptable condition so others can judge for themselves. I understand that products can malfunction. What I cannot understand is a business refusing to take meaningful responsibility when a customer reports an issue less than 24 hours after a repair. Customer service is not simply about collecting payment. It's about standing behind your work, honoring your commitments, communicating effectively, and treating customers with respect. Unfortunately, my experience with David and this uBreakiFix location demonstrated a serious lack of all four. I would strongly caution anyone considering this location, particularly for expensive repairs. Based on my experience, once they have your money, getting someone to take responsibility when something goes wrong can become an entirely separate challenge. Extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Now I have to deal with a phone that the screen that was obviously put on the wrong way or pay another 300-450 for fix. read more

Went in today with a minor issue. The guy fixed it and didn't even charge me. Great place saved me trip to Thousand Oaks

Extremely disappointed with the service here. I brought my iPhone XS Max in for repair, and they kept it for over a week without doing a single thing to fix it. To make matters worse, they returned the phone in the exact same condition and still had the audacity to charge me a $40 diagnostic fee for wasting my time. Charging customers when no actual service, repair, or real help is provided is completely unfair and unprofessional. I definitely won't be coming back here and cannot recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

Tried reaching out a couple times about a phone repair and never got a real response. Their system sends automated replies telling you to call instead of actually answering questions. If you offer messaging, someone should actually read and respond. Poor communication and zero follow-up. Edit: Looks like their automated response fails strike again. Less than stellar customer service today. No follow up call even though I stood right there while the guy put my number and email into the computer. I was told by the evening employee that they did not have my number to call when the service on my phone was done, or actually not done. I don't think they tried to call. Snarky I won't be back. read more

Will definitely try this business again in the future and looking forward to doing another review! ---------------------- Just wanted a simple quote and it literally took a few back and forth a to get to it. I've been to this business a few times now for broken iPad/iPhone screens, and they always do excellent work. This week, I took in an iPad with a cracked screen, which they expertly replaced. Unfortunately, the "Home" button somehow got dislodged during the repairs; however, the company fixed the button with no added charge. Nice, knowledgeable staff that performs speedy repairs. read more

Just had an excellent experience here. Evan was polite and funny and very helpful, making sure I understood the options for replacing my broken iPhone screen. And the technician was fast and did a great job. I highly recommend the place although I hope I never have to use them again! (fat chance of that tho') ;-) ````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Well, looks like I spoke too soon. The phone was working when we took it in, but something about the placement or sensitivity of the new screen has resulted in the phone being locked for at least the next 8 hours. It's now past 7pm Saturday night so we won't be able to dress it till Monday...if it can even be "fixed". At this point it appears that THEY broke, didn't fix. read more

I had great service and was able to get my cell phone screen replaced in a couple of hours.

Update, I contacted the company's customer service and they arranged for me to have my phone fixed at their Oxnard store. The Oxnard store was really helpful: they replaced the screen and the battery at no cost in 45 mins., as the battery was leaking and may have affected the screen. The battery problem could have been caused when the Ventura store repaired the screen they broke or not, but they replaced it for me anyway. The upshot is, go to the *Oxnard store*, they are very knowledgeable and reasonable, explain very well what the issues are with your device, and try to be as helpful as possible. Also, uBreak's and Asurion's customer service representatives were very helpful when I related my experience at their Ventura store. I'm still giving the Ventura store one star, but would give the Oxnard store five. read more

Company should be called "ubreakitican'tfixitbutichargeuanuyway" I brought my Chrome TOUCHSCREEN laptop in for repair. They told me it would be $300, but if I signed up for their insurance club for $30/month, it would only be $150 for a new touch screen . So I signed up, paid the $30, plus $150, and left my computer there. They told me it would be about a week. They called a couple days later and said my computer was fixed. I picked it up and tried to check it, but it wasn't charged. I brought it home, plugged it in, and realized they replaced my touchscreen with a regular screen. I brought it back. This was now my third trip to the store. They said they made a mistake and were still waiting for the part. They assured me as soon as the part was in, they would call me, and I could come in and have it fixed instantly. I waited. And waited. 8 days later I called them and tried to find out what the holdup was. They called me back and said the part was in. I went to the store again (4th time) and they said it would take two hours. I returned to the store in two hours (my 5th trip), and they handed me my laptop. I turned it on to see if they fixed it, and it was still not a touch screen! 13 days passed. Five trips to the store. I demanded to see the manager and get my money refunded. I explained everything to the manager, Tyler Miller, and he refused to give me a refund. He wanted to put my broken touchscreen back on my computer. I told him he is not touching my computer - he had 13 days to fix it and was obviously not competent to do so. I reported this to the Better Business Bureau. I also made Asurion aware of what happened and they refunded my $30. read more

No need to look further! These guys are incredible and deliver OUTSTANDING customer service and care for mobile phones. Last week KANE (the asurion mobile serviceman) arrived to my home and completed a screen repair in 20 minutes. Kane was extremely pleasant and very professional. He also gave me tips for future phone repair. This week I needed to complete a data transfer from my old iPhone to my new one. TYLER (the Telegraph Rd store manager/supervisor) was happy to help me and put one of his technicians immediately on my project. When picking up the phone a few hours later, I met with VAL who was just as helpful by wrapping up a few details and returning my phone back to me, ready to roll. I was trying to load too many items into my car, when I accidentally dropped most of them. I picked them up and placed them in the car. While I was out shopping, I couldn't locate my phone. When I got home, I discovered that I had driven over my iPhone. It was crushed. I was ready to write it off. I brought it into the Asurion shop. They checked it out and told me that they could repair it. 2 days later I picked it up and it had been thoroughly refurbished. It works just as well when I first bought it. I'm now a big fan of Asurion protection and service. read more

Brought a phone in for water damage. Friendly front desk (which bought two stars). Was told the phone couldn't be repaired, for no charge. I was glad that I do auto backup. I brought it home and bought a $15 replacement battery on Amazon. I installed it myself and the phone works fine. I don't know if they are too busy or just don't care, but there seems to be a disconnect. If water damage can short a battery, why don't they know that? read more

A couple weeks ago my iPhone 7 fell in the lake and had significant water damage. It went completely black and started acting up. I called apple and another local fix it place and explained my issue. They both said it was beyond repair and that was that. Didn't even take the time to look at the phone. I was not satisfied with the response I got and wasn't ready to lose hope. A friend referred me to uBreakiFix so I decided to give them a try. Brian is who I initially met said him and his tech team would take a look, run diagnostics and do their best to repair the phone and recover the lost photos but explained it was a long shot and couldn't make any promises. I explained to Brian that all I cared about was retrieving the 7k plus photos I had lost that went back to 2012. Irreplaceable memorable moments! Unfortunately the phone was not backed up to iCloud therefore all 7k plus photos were gone forever, or so I thought and was previously told. I got several calls back, mostly from Moises, giving me updates regarding the progress. I'm not sure how they did it but this team of techs used their magic and recovered all the lost pictures and videos. I can't thank this team enough and will absolutely recommend them to any of my friends, family and anyone else in the future! read more

I'm so disappointed that Juan and his staff were unable to help me...I brought my playstation in to be fixed on July 5th. I was told today, a month later, that the plan I purchased from them "Asurion Plus" would not cover my item. They said it was due to liquid damage, which clearly says it would be covered on the brochure. I guess it's true what they say, if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is. I asked Juan to please email me his diagnosis he said his store performed 4 days after I brought it in and why it took this long to tell me. He informed me his store did "an amazing job". Laughable. Asurion told me the store dropped the ball-although they gave me different reasons every week why it wasn't covered. A nightmare from both the store, and the warranty I purchased from that store. It's not worth the 24.95/month...save your money. read more

I brought my mac in and told them there was a dvd stuck in the slot. I had taken the Mac to Apple and they said the comuputer would have to be opened up to remove the disc and I should take it to a computer repair place. I brought the Mac in, told them the problem and they said it would be done in 2 days. Not hearing from them, a WEEK later I went in to inquire and they told me they looked at it but did not know what the problem was. So why didn't they call me???? I said I told them what the problem was when I brought it in. It had to be opened up and the stuck disc removed. Oh! the guy says to me, we did not know. So then why didn't someone call me?? How long would my computer have sat there???? Meanwhile I was without a computer for a week, inconvenienced and nothing was done and no one called me. Never again These guys are no good. read more

Avoid at all costs. We had my daughters phone screen replaced here 5 weeks ago for $290. Last week her screen started to be less responsive and over the weekend the screen started cracking from the pressure of her thumb. We brought her phone in, still under warranty, and clear screen protector still intact not cracked. After explaining the worker took her phone, started peeling off the screen protector cracking it and said, "see, it is cracked." When I told him he was being dishonest he slapped the now cracked protector back onto the phone and told us to have a good day. I would never use these people. They either used a non-Apple cheap screen replacement or didn't replace it correctly. I feel so cheated and still have to pay to fix their defective screen. read more

Once for a cracked screen, once to help get the phone charging again. Twice I've been to these guys, and twice the process has gone great.

Giving these guys full marks for helping me by giving me unpaid advice! I went in asking about a crack on my iPhone and they confirmed it was just in my screen protector, which I later changed myself (I had an extra at home.). They also advised me against upgrading my internal MacBook Pro hard drive suggesting I just get a portable external flash drive instead. - They could have taken advantage of my ignorance but they didn't!!
