It's me again! Memo is the man! I needed a drive shaft and a differential, my car was fixed, and luckily I had Mechanical Breakdown Insurance, which Memo honored and my car now drives better than when it was new! I will only go to Dob's for all of my vehicle needs! read more

Great prices and fast services I appreciate the help from memo ! Definitely will recommend to friends and family !

Thanks to a recommendation on nextdoor.com, I went to Dob's today and they were great! I was worried about my brakes but they gave me all the options and prices and my car has new shoes! So happy! Thanks Memo and everyone else at Dob's!! read more

Fixed my wheel bearings for $650. One of the better quotes we got. Fast and reliable service.

I'm not sure if the pricing was too much or just right but, the service was definitely great. I went in on a Saturday, expecting to be waiting for a while for service and found out it was just the opposite of that. The guy helping me took my information keys and said he would give me a call about 9am to let me know what they say in my brakes. Keep in mind, I already knew I needed new brakes. He promptly called me about 8:30am and let me know that yes all brake pads needed to be replaced but also my front rotors need replacing as well. He explained that they could just be sanded down but it looked like that had already been done and he did not recommended it. All in all he quoted me around 500 for all brakes and the two front rotors which I felt was fair (I really have no idea here). So I gave him authorization and by 11:45am my car was ready to go. He showed me my old parts and the gash on my old rotors. Which I felt the replacement was warranted. A lot of times we rate mechanics based on their cost but I feel we really need to focus more on their customer service, expertise and availability. Dob's Brakes took the worry a out of the whole equation and with their speedy and precise service made my whole experience a great one. Will definitely recommend and come back in the future. read more

This was my first time here and I'm grateful that I found them! I called in for a quote on new front brake pads and rotors and instantly got an answer and when I ask when they could take me in they said as soon as I could get there! Once there I was greated by Memo who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and walked me through their services. I was in and out of there within an about an hour and my car is now running back as new. Highly recommend, great service at a great price! Thank you guys for your service! read more

Got my front brakes done. Memo listened to my issues, let me know the estimate, and got to work on my car himself. My first time there, but after the great service I received, definitely won't be my last! read more

The Best service and prices in town. I only go to Dob's for both of my Vehicles. Memo and the team are on point very time. 100 % recommend.

Took my vehicle to nissan for an oil change and full inspection- was told I needed new brakes and rotors at an outrageous quoted price. Called Dobs for a much more reasonable quote over the phone and he had immediate availability. Had my car done within a couple hours. Great service! read more

I got fully scammed with services here, quoted me for brakes that were 2x the cost of another shop and replaced a rotor that has squeaked since the replacement. On top of that they overtorqued my lugnut and made it so it locked onto and I had to pay to get that fixed. Just go to Firestone. read more

Amazing!!! My family and I have been going to Dobbs for years. They are thorough, professional and very reasonably priced. They have found issues, that even my auto dealer hadn't found, but were way cheaper than the dealership. They even try and source parts from multiple suppliers to get you the best price. Honest, fair and trustworthy. Highly recommend! read more

We desperately needed our brakes and rotors replaced. We called Big Brand and they quoted us almost $450 for 2 axles and brakes! Well lucky for us, we called Dob's, and spoke with owner Aaron Bennett. He said come on over. They had our front axles and brakes replaced within an hour and we paid less than half of what we would have at Big Brand! Bottom line: Go to Dob's, they'll take care of you! read more

I haven't been to Dob's Brake & Auto in years. Perhaps a decade. I decided to give this place a try after my unsatisfactory experience at Big Brand Tire. Aaron Bennett (Owner) ROCKS! Genuine soul who knows his stuff, on top of that, down to Earth! Ladies, take your car here! No attempts of upselling. Just straight , honest business. This place is professional without fancy furniture. It's about taking care of your car & making you feel safe. My car was aligned & serpentine belt was fixed within 1 1/2 hours! Excellent job! Thank you, there's still a few honest car shops out here! read more

I found Dob's on yelp read the reviews called them on a Sunday decided to bring my truck in first thing Monday morning they were there bright and early very friendly staff diagnosed my truck within 30 minutes and the cost to replace my water pump was within my budget I had to do other things along with it such as the hoses but I wasn't able to do that due to my own finances so I will be bringing it back for them to complete it. I'm waiting now to pick it up but from what I've experienced with these guys, I would highly recommend them read more

Great service , knowledgeable people and amazing results. There's a reason why this establishment is a staple in our community

I love this place from the same day service to their honesty. If a part is not in stock they will let you know when it will be in. I recommend this place. read more

Best auto center in Ventura County! These guys know how to treat a customer. They don't give you overall b.s. on what your vehicle may need. They are very straight forward and understanding. I've seen them go above and beyond when servicing my car. Memo & Aaron kick ass!!! read more

My wife noticed a rubbing noise when driving her car. I brought my car to DOB"s. The staff was friendly. Determined her front brakes needed replacement. They told me my options and how much it would cost. There was no pressure and did not try to talk me into more expensive options. I would recommend DOB"s to anyone. Friendly staff, fair prices and excellent work read more

I do not have anything negative to say about my first experience at Dob's. I dropped my BMW off for a brake job on Saturday and a few hours later I had front rotors and pads replaced for half the price of the German specialty shop I recently used for other work. I had an online coupon for $20 off brake work and when I went to redeem it, the guy working the front counter had already applied the discount. It's rare that I leave a shop completely satisfied, but at Dob's I did. read more

They did both of my brakes and didn't resurface the discs correctly. After 6 months, their mistake became more noticeable. It was partly my fault because I didn't return the vehicle to them, but they accepted no responsibility and chalked it up to my discs being old. They wanted to replace the discs. Went to another mechanic who told me I didn't need to replace the discs, just resurface them. I will never be back here read more

Actually, not so much. I paid a LOT of money, compared to other shops, for what they did, and his quotes for other jobs for me seem very high... as in, $500.00 more than elsewhere. read more

These dingbats damaged my vehicles body when they put it on the lift and didn't say anything to me.

After perusing Yelp for a new automotive shop, I decided to take a chance on Dob's in Oxnard. My vehicle was having problems and had not been serviced properly (long story) so it was with some anxiety that I brought my vehicle in. I did not need to worry in the least as Memo and the staff took great care in diagnosing and fixing my problems. There was no up sell trying to get me to purchase unneeded items/services, just plain talk, show and tell (which I really appreciated as I am a visual person), and reasonable pricing. Memo went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable with everything before doing any work. My car was ready at the promised time and checkout was a breeze. Any women out there needing dependable reliable courteous auto service - look no further - go to Dob's! read more

My service was super timely and efficient. I really enjoyed the owner, Aaron and his attentiveness to my vehicle. I would recommend this shop to any and everyone! Thank you so much, Dobs! read more

Stopped by, met Memo and within the time frame he gave me I got new brakes and an oil change on the spot. They did a great job.

Usually don't give bad reviews and I don't consider this a bad one but more I have as advisory first of all the owner pretty cool but I do believe that his assistant or overall the whole break Shoppe is somewhat dissed honest they were proven that in front of their faces in a job that they were doing for me and I came back a month after he said if the problem still persists after even dealing with them trying to convince me of Problems that my car didn't even have so I came back when I was told just to inform you that the problem still persists and they replied to me in person with more excuses and lies and did not finish the job that was supposed to be done for me just be careful because truthfully and honestly their integrity is not there. One more thing to consider if the owner allows people to help and assist him that are dishonest and shady that makes me question the person as well. read more

Well my experience was short and disappointing. I've used Dobs many times on the past today I learned why it's been a while since I've been back. I tried to get a price on tires and was basically told I should try to see if Big Brand or America's Tire Co had better prices. There was a point to using Dobs this time as I wanted to purchase tires in the commubity I live in to give back to locals after Covid. I couldn't even get an estimate over the phone. Guess putting $800-$1000 worth of tires on my vehicle isn't what they want to do despite offering the service. Good luck, my family and I won't be back. read more

Great service and the mechanics work so fast! They provide excellent customer service and are very honest. They even showed me what exactly what was wrong with my car and how it was supposed to look in comparison to mine. Definitely will be coming back! PLUS, they actually provide alinement services**** read more

Had a lot of much needed routine maintenance done here at a very reasonable price, Memo even took off $50.00 off my original quote. Did not try to upsell me on anything, and even pointed out some things that needed urgent attention. Memo was also able to help me locate a part at near half price after i had gone to 3 other mechanics who quoted me + $450.00. Very honest working men here. I am definitely coming back, would highly recommend them! read more

Aaron is wonderful ! Honest and knowledgeable and extremely fair prices! I'm from Michigan which is an auto state and I've been out here for 6 years. It's hard to find those " go to" shops where you know your car is in good hands and I finally have !!! This is my new go to spot for all my car needs! read more

I came based off great recommendations. I just needed to do rear brake checks and so they do their thing and check it out and come back and give me a quote of $300 to do just the rear brakes. By do I mean changing the rotors and pads. That's a bit much don't you think? No this is actuallly one of the best prices out here. Couldn't believe what I'm hearing so I'm like no thank you and then as they give me my keys they tell me it'll be $18.75, I'm like $18 for what ? You guys ain't do nothing to my car and they said we checked it for you and told you what was wrong. You know how many places do free brake inspections and they over here charging me for some shit that should be free. That's like going to a restaurant ordering water and then being charged for water. Shit don't make sense, 1+1 = 3, don't make sense. Overall this place is straight dumpster goose sweat, I'd never recommend anyone here. Overpriced af and they don't even give you a good attitude about anything. read more

My boyfriend got my brakes done here a few weeks ago and the service was great. The guy at the front was good with telling us exactly what needed to be done without any run around. Great local place to get your brakes done and super fast! Thanks Dobs, will recommend! read more

My tire pressure indicator light was on after leaving the Amtrak station across the street, and I did not feel comfortable driving my car back home. Dob's Brake and Auto Center was right across from the Oxnard Transit Center, so thought they could take a look at my tires before attempting to drive home. The service was very friendly, helpful and thorough. My tire was repaired quickly and I had peace of mind driving again. I highly recommend Dob's, and am thankful for the quality of service and repair! read more

Im going to be honest! been going to this mechanic for 5 years. They charge more then the dealer you buy your car from!? recently they upped their diagnostic costs to 90 dollars from 75.00 and that doesnt even include work! if you want an honest mechanic that isn't shady go with JT'S Automotive in Oxnard. Seriously he is the most honest mechanic you will ever meet! and reasonably priced. dont beleive me?? read the reviews. Here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/jts-automotive-oxnard Im saying this to hopefully save at least one person the time and money ive wasted coming to this mechanic for years. I remember one time being so distraught, worried and upset about my car and told the guy at the front counter (memo is his name) that i could only hope whatever the job was that it was less than 500 dollars if it was bad, tell me why coincidentally the amount was just 2 dollars under 500!! once i calmed down i relaized i had been got but never again! i hope people see this review and it stops them from going their and getting ripped off! at Jt's he not only does free diagnostics but he has the best prices. Just to be on the safe side i made some calls to compare prices and sure enough dobs is over 60 dollars more in comparison to JT's for a brake job. Jt's-120.00 dobs 188.00 you tell me which sounds better? and on top of that i have a german vehicle (VW Passat) it doesnt get any better then that. So like i said please dont go their...and if i saved you the heartache please let me know :) making someones day def makes mine. read more

Sunday morning, Memorial Day weekend. Found a nail in the tire the day I needed to drive home to NorCal. Thought I had a problem till I found Dob's (thanks to a tip from a local). Aaron and his crew had me back on the road much faster and more cheaply than I could have imagined. Thanks Team Dob's! I had a blow out on the 101 near Oxnard. It severed my brake line so i had to get it fixed before driving home to LA. I called several places in the area. All were rude saying they couldn't see me even though it was an emergency and refused to give me referrals. When the people at Dob's answered the phone they were great! Told me to come right over. I got there and in 3 hours I had new tire, caliper, and a repaired brake line. I was very happy with their service. Thank you for helping me in a pinch read more

The owner and manager, Meno, is a world class problem solver. He went above and beyond to make sure I drove home a happy camper. In addition, he hires knowledgeable and experienced mechanics who take the time to teach you about what's wrong with your car, why it's a problem, how to best fix it and about what to expect, concerning cost. These guys want to make sure their customers are happy. Highly recommended. read more
