I had no idea where to take my car on such short notice, but I called them and they told me to bring it in so they could take a look. The next morning Scott called me and explained what needed to be done. I gave them the okay, and my car was ready just a few hours later. I also looked around and got a few quotes from other shops just to see if the price was fair, and Williams Automotive ended up being the best price by far. They also let me know my transmission fluid was really dark, which honestly wasn't surprising since I had never changed it. I came back for that service and an oil change, and once again everything was done quickly and for a really good price. Everyone I've dealt with there has been friendly and helpful. The lady in the office is also super nice, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, I'm really happy with the service, price, turnaround time, and customer service. That's how I met Danny, who I later learned is one of the owners along with his cousin Oscar. From the beginning, what stood out was how straightforward and reasonable everything felt. The labor rate was fair, the communication was clear, and instead of pushing one expensive path, Danny took the time to explain different options for replacement parts and what made sense financially. I live in Woodland Hills, and Sharp's is in Oxnard, so this was not exactly around the corner for me. But after that first experience, I felt comfortable enough making the trip because it already felt worth it. After that, I came back with my own 2016 Chevy Volt for an A/C issue. Since that car does not have a traditional belt-driven compressor setup, I knew it was going to take more than generic trial-and-error diagnosis. Danny was patient, methodical, and clearly willing to think through a problem instead of just throwing parts at it. The issue ended up getting solved efficiently, which was a huge relief. (And to be fair Sergio seemed to be a bit boggled by the issue I brought him but he still went ahead and did a repair...) Fast forward a few months and the issue still persisted, and the transmission ended up not shifting into other gears, so I ended up taking it to a specialty transmission shop yesterday (03.18.2026). All in all I would recommend this shop but maybe just for simple repairs and nothing too out of the ordinary since they do not specialize in any particular area of autos. *Also, it would've been better if they just said that they dont or wont touch the transmission. Unfortunately the repair that was done here may have ultimately damaged the internals because of lack of knowledge with this vehicle. *On another note, I called the number provided on Yelp (and also what I had saved on my phone) and another "Sergio" answered claiming to be a car wash person and he was confused on how I got "his" number. If they did change the number they should disclose it on Yelp so others wont call the wrong person/ repair shop. (Number I called was 805.483.7901 as it shows on Google and Yelp.) This is not to bash anyone, im simply stating that if a shop is not knowledgable on a particular vehicle they (the shop) can choose to offer the client an alternative shop instead of taking on work they cant fulfill or diagnose correctly. One experience that really stood out happened years ago when my car key broke off in the trunk lock. A mobile locksmith quoted me $250 to remove the broken piece and make a new key. Instead, I took the car to Sergio's. Chava came out with a small tool, removed the broken key in less than five minutes, and had me on my way. He didn't charge me a dime. That kind of honesty, professionalism, and customer service is hard to find these days, which is why I continue to trust Sergio's with my vehicles.
