Can't thank them enough for their awesome customer service and kindness. We were desperately looking for help with our AC that was giving us issues on a roadtrip with two little ones and it was really hot today. When we arrived, the man (wish we got his name) dropped what he was doing to help. He checked everything out on the filter and connection points and then even reset and did a diagnostic on the computer part of the system. This was a godsend especially after we went to the Honda dealership nearby and were not acknowledged at all when we tried to get help. HIGHLY recommend!! read more

Looking at all the positive reviews of this place I thought I had found my go to repair shop but these people are scammers. Dropped off my car on a Monday and get a call on Tuesday saying they figured out the problem. Said it was electrical but didn't really explain what was wrong with it and quoted me $680. Told them I couldn't do that price and he says it usually cost $800 anywhere else. I tell him that I'd be picking up the car soon. Take an uber to the shop to pick the car up and they are closed for an hour on lunch. Fine, I wait around since I do not want to waste more money on uber. When the mechanic finally arrives after lunch I ask him what exactly is wrong with the car. He proceeds to vaguely tell me the car is old and that the wiring is messed up and it keeps blowing the fuse. I then ask him if he did in fact change the fuse, said he did. I take the car to auto zone and find the blown fuse and replace it. Solved the problem, no more issues, hasn't blown the fuse since. SO THIS SHOP TRIED TO CHARGE ME $680 FOR A BLOWN FUSE. For those of you who know nothing about cars, please get a second opinion or do some research online before paying these people. read more

They rebuilt my transmission, but forgot to seal it and after I took my car home, found a puddle of oil on my driveway! Took it back and they resealed it and returned it back to me, making me believe they had completely checked and finally finished their work. A year later, I had it checked somewhere else, and was so upset to find out, I had been driving my car with VERY little oil!!! The bastard never had refilled the oil in my transmission after they had failed to seal it properly!! Very incompetent shop! I'm surprised if they have any returning customers! Also, my steering wheel kept shaking after the transmission repair, and they kept telling me it was normal! I don't want to even give them one star! But I accidentally pressed it and can't undo it! read more

Had a pesky right blinker that we kept getting criminally high quotes for. My husband says somewhere in LA told him "maybe around $1000"...??? We were dealing with an incident claim at the nearby Walmart auto center (they broke our windshield during an OIL CHANGE. DO NOT RECOMMEND) and randomly found Parra's on maps. Mr Parra himself was already with a customer but came over to us as soon as he was done with them. He very quickly assessed the issue, asked us to park closer, fixed it immediately (even though we ordered a misfiring part). And then didn't charge us a dime. He said it was a safety necessity for our kids on board. I will be coming back for all future work, he was clearly an expert and natural. I'm not sure if the negative reviews just met a completely different man? He does not care about juicing customers for money. He is fast paced and knowledgeable. Works well on the fly. Maybe you have to catch him on a Sunday? Maybe you have to have a good attitude? All I know is, he will be fair in pricing and know a lot about your car. Had a vehicle I had just purchased towed in so he could give me a dx of what needed to be done. All I knew was the seller said a "vaccume pump & a battery." As I had a battery I asked him what the cost for installing a vaccume pump. Owner says "$1300." This with out him even dx'ing the vehicle. Perplexed, I ask for a price breakdown. He tells me "its a commercial vehicle (Sprinter Van) so its a commercial price $1300." One star for allowing me to park it till I was able to get another tow. read more

Had a nail in our tire on thanksgiving day during a roadtrip, and this place literally saved us. They said they normally don't patch wheels anymore, but did us a favor and took us in like their own. You can tell the workers are also well taken care of. You can tell from interacting with them that they're big on taking care of their people and just good people. I kind of felt like a victim after paying the near $2,000 for the service he offered when other mechanics later told me the same job would be $900 max. He essentially scammed me. I'm hoping this at least lasts me a long time before I need to be serviced again. And I found a bolt just laying between my windshield and hood. Despite the business hours Chris's shop is always open. His number is reachable 24/7. I found him on google on one of my road trip at 9:30pm and he literally was a life saver. While I was doing a long distance drive I noticed everyone was flashing at me. As it turned out both of my back lights had given out on me. I panicked, and of course stopped and googled the nearest auto shop that's opened. And prayed there's even one open in the middle of the weekday at my half way point to my destination. When I found a 24 hour auto shop on google and called him, he told me don't worry about it and just go over as soon as I can. He not only helped me fixed my lights, he walked me through the whole process. Stopped his task that he was doing and helped my car situation for the next hour. Gave me his business card and told me to call whenever. Honestly if I lived closer I would go to him more often and give him all my business. He and his mechanic have the biggest heart and are the biggest jokesters. I give my 110% recommendation to them. And I have never done that in my life of yelp. I was so thankful and as I came to pick up the car my other car broke down - He was supper busy but nevertheless he still opted to take me and fix my car The second car took a bit longer because he had to figure out what was wrong with it. I was driving down the coast when my engine began making the most horrid noise. Not familiar with the area I called a nearby autoshop called Parra's and christopher enthusiastically answered the phone and explained to me the potential issue and what they would do to fix it. I stopped by the shop and the mechanic there was extremely kind and helped me out,it seems one of my spark plugs came loose from the head, but was fortunately able to be put back in after he adjusted the gapping, and even cleared the engine code that came from it. In all the repair only took about 30 minutes! What i thought was going to be a bad time broken down in an unfamiliar town turned out to be a fantastic autoshop experience. I am unsure as if it was because of the ease of the repair, my situation, or the kind hearts of parra's autoshop but they did not even charge me for the procedure, they were simply happy to help and hoped for me to return if i had any future car troubles, it honestly left me speechless. I can't speak highly enough of these guys.. After a routine tire repair at discount tire I started driving home to Santa Barbara when my whole car started shaking on the freeway, I pulled over and checked the front tires they'd told me they worked on but seeing nothing unusual I started looking for auto shops. Parra's shop was the only one open at 8:30 pm and we were nearby so drove up. The guys were happy to help even though they were busy with something else and found a rear tire loose, lug nuts barely hand tightened, and one broken. I was appalled but thankful that my family was unharmed as we had been driving for some time with a loose wheel. 5/5 stars. My car broke down a 2016 Honda Civic with 48k miles on it. It was weird because a car like that shouldn't not start since it's like brand new. Took it to them Saturday night and it was ready the next day! I was so blessed to find this place because most repair shops are closed on the weekend. Turned out my keys had to be reprogrammed because of the rhinestone circle around where I input my keys. Great service and I thought that Chris was an honest man who did his job to help people not for the money. I highly suggest this place for any repair needs.
