Always bring in my vehicles here for repairs. Brought in my wife's Acura MDX cause it was making a loud noise when accelerating. They knew what it was right away; a bad wheel bearing. Brought in the morning and they were able to get in done that day. And they also saw struts were leaking. Recommended those be changed also. And had that done also. My daughters car began making a horrible noise. I suspected the timing belt and water pump had failed but didn't have the time to fix it. We took the car to Lito. He inspected it and concluded the same issues were indeed the cause. He gave us an estimate and we asked him to go ahead with the repairs. But once inside the engine, Lito and his awesome son saw more severe damage had been caused by the failed parts. They called us to come over for a review and options for repair. We agreed on fixing it all properly. In the end, we felt great about the entire repair process and it was well worth every dime. Overpriced. Quality of work substandard. Had a transmission rebuilt. Beoke down again after two weeks. I was told later that the shop who rebuilt my transmission messed up which caused the whole system to break down. Sure they fixed it again for free because of the warranty, but the waste of time, hazard, and trouble it caused me could have been avoided if they did it right the first time. read more

Very honest shop and good work. Inquired about some suspension work that California Tire & Auto repair said the vehicle needed. My battery died while I was at work and I bought a replacement, intending to swap it out myself that night when I got home. Of course, like all brilliant plans, my car's manufacturer decided to install the battery in a way that I could not remove the terminal connections myself, despite my best efforts. My mom suggested I take my car to Lito's in the morning, as she'd done business with him in the past. We called as soon as he opened at 8 am and he was more than happy to take a look if we had the car brought in. We arrivedaround 8:15 or so and Lito and his son Chris took amazing care of us, bringing us into the office to start the paperwork while we waited for the car to come on the tow truck. When the tow arrived, they had my new battery installed in record time, and the price was extremely reasonable! I can see why they have such great reviews and a stellar BBB rating. It's still under warranty but there are those parts where us customers have to pay that isn't covered under warranty. I realize this mechanic is very far from where I live, but I drove all the way here because this is the guy that my father trusts to do work on his cars and if my father trusts someone with his vehicles, then they are to be trusted by all. As I walked up to the customer service area, I noticed that they had Lady Gaga playing. VERY LOUDLY. Yes folks, Lady Gaga was their work music and right away, it filled me with amour for them. Lito greeted me and asked what was wrong with my truck. I told him about the sound. He took it for a test drive up and down the block, brought it back, slid under the truck for no more than 15 seconds and said, "It's the center bearing. I can have it fixed in an hour. Did you have anyone else look at this?" I said yes and that I was told it was the rear differential and that it would cost a lot. He laughed and said, "Did they even lift the truck and look?" I said I didn't know. He just shook his head. He gave me the estimate, which was oh, about $1000 less than if the problem was the differential. He lifted my truck and brought me underneath and showed me what the problem was and explained why it was making the sound. It was clear as day (well, not a smoggy LA day. Clearer than that). By the time my father (who arrived well after the truck was lifted and Lito was already working on it) and I went down the street and had pancakes and came back, my truck was fixed. This guy didn't know who I was. I was just some young-looking woman with a broken truck. And he was 100% honest. Thank you, Lito! read more

Needed an engine replaced. LITO ordered a new engine, said i needed other parts to make sure that when the new engine is place it will pass smog. I asked him if he passes smog and he said yes. Got all the extra parts needed which brought the total to about 7K. Car didn't pass smog. And he later said he doesn't do smog. He is an all yes man to get your car to stay and later not follow through. I started to notice that lito would break parts and charge me to fix it. Ended up loosing the set of car keys. I had a spare, but he didn't want to pay to program the new car key and remote. I wouldn't recommend this service. Only reason why i went with him is because a co worker highly recommended him, little did I know they was cousinss, and the co worker works for the Naval Facilities in point mugu, which is a governmental organization. Shame on them. Stealing from people and the government. I don't recommend them. read more
