This place is a ripoff Zero integrity DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS Verizon is very aware that these store fronts are ripping customers off Apparently they are ok with it as they have done nothing to correct it My experience was terrible At the end I have to pay $328.23 for 3 devices I went there to buy just a phone The agent told me that I may tag on an iPad and a watch as they were FREE based on my iPhone purchase I expressed that I was currently paying $88 a month for phone service and with the phone purchase I only wanted my monthly bill to be $120 at most He said no worries " we got you " These words sounded great at point of sale. Not so good when my statement arrived which he said may be higher for the first month It was $300 which is way more than $120 This place was a complete rip of So they sold me two extra devices that in the end were not free. I fought the initial charges and just found out yesterday that I will have to pay the initial $328 My agent was 6'4 and said his name was Sky. Although I heard him referencing himself by other names. He ripped me off and collected his commission. As I stated earlier Verizon is aware that the store front employees are scandalous and will promise anything to make a sale. They do nothing to stop it. I am so upset and disappointed with Verizon. The Verizon store at the collection in Oxnard. I bought two phones yesterday. Spent a couple thousand dollars yesterday to get everything transferred over to new phones. Today I went back because I am having issues with my email. It says I need to do new password and need code. Anyway I went to Verizon spoke with the manager that did this yesterday. There was nobody there they weren't busy at all. I explained my problem and immediately says well I can't guarantee anything but it will cost u 30.00 per phone to help u. I was appalled after spending all this money they want more to fix my email. What a scam this is. I am so upset. This woman could have cared less about helping I wish I didn't buy new phones with Verizon now. They have zero compassion to help. It's all about money for them. EDGAR IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE REP!!!! I cannot even give this store a NO STAR, but I have to. I went in on Tuesday, May 17th to change my T-Mobile account to Verizon. I was helped by a rep by the name of EDGAR worse customer service I have ever received in my life. First before I tell my story let me warn you all this is not an actual Verizon Store (please head over to The Collection for real Verizon customer service) Let me begin. I get to the store at 4:45 pm in hopes to become a Verizon customer. I get greeted by the rep Edgar, it started off well, & I trusted his answers since it seems as if he knew exactly what he was talking about up until I figured out he didn't. I started by asking him if there would be an issue switching my T-Mobile account to Verizon even tho I still owed a balance on my mobile phone. He said "No problem", I went ahead and paid my activation/processing fee. I provided Edgar with all the necessary transfer information. This is when everything went south. He placed the Verizon SIM card in my phone just to find out that T-Mobile had my phone locked! I proceeded to call T-Mobile for information regarding the locked phone & that's when I found out EDGAR was full of $hit! When EDGAR realized he provide me with false information he refused and wanted nothing to do in helping resolve the issue in getting me a working mobile number. After seating there for almost 3 hours at this point being ignored by EDGAR, and trying to figure out on my own with Verizon customer support the store was getting ready to close. I politely asked EDGAR to help me and his answer was "Our store is closing. Tough luck" after explaining to him that I was not going to leave until he helped me fix this mess he created he went on to threaten me in calling the Police. In which he absolutely did call the Police. I not only was mortified but I was also very frighten being alone feeling helpless. Once the Police arrived they even agreed with the fact that EDGAR was extremely unprofessional. Worse experience of my life. All I wanted was to become a Verizon customer. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT come to this store! And if you do please do not get any service from EDGAR! Worse customer service rep ever. On the bright side the following day I did receive amazing service at the Verizon at The Collection. If it was not for them I would not be a Verizon customer. read more

They said if I ordered the Verizon internet I would get over $400 off my new phone, even if I cancelled the internet, which I could do free. I was told speed would be up to 400mbps. It tested at less than 21 Mbps, so I went back to my provider at over 170 Mbps upload and download. I never got the $400 promised me. I also read in their contract that I could owe: ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc, DBA Victra, in addition to Verizon including full retail price of my phone if I cancel within 181 days of activation. Bottom line, I won't trust anything they tell me anymore and will make sure I get everything in writing before I agree to anything. Also, I have never been able to reach this location by phone as I have not seen a direct line published and when Verizon tried to call them on my behalf no one answers. I also have had no luck with a direct email. Thus, my experience is they do not value customer service. read more

This is not about a location, I was promise my bill would decrease since I been with Verizon over twenty years and asked how to reduce my bill. They said they could but they lied,every time I called in they would Listen to my needs then write something else in the notes . The CS told me he fix my bill any have me the I would pay ever month but a month later it would be a different amount. We love this place. We've had nothing but great service here. But not today. My sister and I went in just to ask some questions, as usual. This time, we were helped by Sophia. The rudest person ever. My 78 yr. old sister just had some questions about her phone and phones in general. All Sophia cared about was getting my sisters account information. She wouldn't even let my sister ask her question. My sister gets flustered and confused under pressure. She told Sophia "why do you need to look up my account just to answer some questions?" The questions we went in with really had nothing to do with her account. Sophia refused to help us after that. She walked away and kept telling us to go to another store. She crossed her arms and refused to help us. We love our Verizon but definitely not this "Sophia". We were so upset to have such a bad experience at our favorite place. I don't think we can come back anymore. My sister cried. What happened to patience and common courtesy for older people? Some of us are a little slower and sensitive than others. The poorest customer service; I came in to the port Hueneme Verizon store to purchase internet modem and service. After waiting for an hour a sales person was available to help me. They were not able to active a modem for me and told me they would call me back the next day so I could come back the next day to pick it up. That was fine no big deal. I never got a call back from them. 3 days later I get a text message saying if I was going to come pick up my modem. So they made me an appointment to pick it up at noon the next day. When I went to pick it up I waited 25 minutes before a sales person acknowledged that I was in the store waiting for help. Turns out the original sales person added 3 modems to my account and they were all at a higher price then we had discussed. I ended up leaving and canceling the service all together. Poor customer service, long wait times, sales person doesn't know how to activate their products and then added 3 products to my account at a higher price than agreed upon. Total waste of time. McCartney helped me get a new phone. I had been dealing with a horrible experience with Sprint and he made the transition from them to Verizon easy and painless. He took the time to walk me through each service plan and which phones there were. I left Verizon feeling confident that I had made the right decision to switch. On top of providing amazing customer service to me and my boyfriend, he also provided great customer service to all the other customers that came in. So I went to the store in hueneme to open a new account that came with a free phone. Well the person helping me allegedly the assistant manager made a mistake with the whole account. He either did it on purpose or needs to be retrained ASAP. I just returned everything back, only got back a very small portion of what I paid. I also missed a day of work trying to fix this at the verizon store at the collection the official store with professional employees that are properly trained. Honestly just go to the store in the collection not in the hueneme location, which they have their own fees and are not trained properly, and make customers experience a horrible experience. Was greeted and helped by McCartney who was a general manager at the location. Was super helpful and attentive. Welcoming environment. Addressed and listened to our needs. Even helped fill out necessary paperworks for savings that we could have done at home. Was not money hungry pushing unnecessary equipment on us and calling it a great deal (just like the AT&T store in Oxnard across from the St Johns Medical Center hospital (Gonzalez/Rose Ave). Sorry other customers were unfortunate to get that one bad apple making the experience horrible. We were fortunate to get one of the good apples in the bag. read more

Man o man, did we have a fun time trying to transfer my phone number from spectrum it was a circus show. The boys and Verizon went above and beyond with me just trying to port Over a phone number. Took us 4 days and 3 hours per day just to get this phone number transferred. We called got passed around multiple times being told different things. They stayed patient , made some jokes made us feel comfy and in all I got trust for this location. All my future purchases will be done here. I went into this store because it's the closest one to me. The man who waited on me was very friendly until he realized I wasn't interested in buying anything. I told him I had a question about buying more "cloud storage," and he asked me where I bought my phone and whether I had talked to them about it. When I said no, he asked me if I had called Verizon. I said I preferred to talk to a live person. By keeping my cool and pushing gently, I got him to answer a couple of my questions, but it was clear that he resented my wasting his time. I've always felt free to go into any Verizon store for help with my phones. I will never go back to this store. With a little customer service, he could have lined me up to buy my next phone there. They signed me up for the wrong insurance. They said there was a mistake but I was paying for it but three months. later my phone breaks and the insurance company wont process the claim and said GoWireless signed me up incorrectly. GoWireless said I would have to sign up again and wait a month for a new phone or buy a brand new one. The sales person refused to call a manager, refused to document the situation or give me a reference number so I could talk to someone else. I am not the first person this has happened to. Be careful. Update -- I bybassed the Go Wireless store and talked with Verizon directly. They got me a new phone next day. Took a few days but we cleared up the insurance issue and I got compensated. I went there just the other day when my Verizon phone was tripping. Not knowing that it's "Go Wireless" and I thought it was just like any other Verizon Wireless store, I went in and asked the only employee that was there to help me. She got right on it and tired a few things to see if she can get my phone working and then moved on to calling the tech support. To make a long story short, she did everything she needed to do fairly quickly (about 20 minutes) and got my phone to work again. When I asked, she told me that this is not a Verizon store so it never gets crazy busy like the regular Verizon store. I feel like I found a gem and don't really want to share this information but she really took care of me and I would definitely go there before I go to any of the Verizon store so I am compelled to share with you all. I repeat, unlike all the other Verizon stores that I've been to and repeatedly abused one way or another, this is the place to go for your Verizon phone needs. They have other phones too I assume but I have Verizon so I can speak only for this service provider. The employee was very nice and I was the only customer so I got the undivided attention and she worked on it quickly with no bullshit I normally get from the V store. Thanks!! read more

Melissa (manager) at the Oxnard Verizon store refused to allow me to return a car charger that was brand new in the box. There is a 30 day return period. she quoted me a two hour rerun wait but her co worker told the customer after me, it was a 45 minute wait. she then refused to make an appointment for me. After writing a not so good review I got a message and a call from Verizon trying to resolve my problem. They are very proactive in getting to the root of the problem and fixing it. I do understand this type of business offers commission on sales and every employee wants to make a little extra money, but they do need to learn not to push it upon people too strongly. I love Verizon and would never use any other cellular service. I've been a customer for many years and have always went to this specific location for all my phones, problems, and questions. The employees have always done more than expected in helping me. Every place has their so/so workers and their awesome workers. That does not mean the business as a whole is bad. read more

This store is one of the best stores I've ever been to. Sky the store manager is amazing. I had previously been into another location and had the most disgusting interaction Chris from The Oaks. The representatives at this store were all very well groomed and very polite. after leaving Verizon for AT&T I had many issues, my phone had many dropped calls. I walked back into Verizon Wireless dreading the interaction. I was greeted with smiles and all was explained. I didn't have to pay reconnect charges the manager and representative were both very attentive and I just want to thank Marcela and Sky for all their help.
