We pay $75 per month for 30 MBPS down / 10MBPS up but only get 17MBPS down and 1.5MBPS up so we are switching to 100MBPS Starlink for $50 per month. All that Geolinks would have needed to do to keep us happy would have been deliver most of the bandwidth that we pay for somewhat consistently. I was a customer of Frontier Communications internet services in Ventura County, CA for about a…read moreyear. I had no major complaints until I had to move out of state and cancel my service. I followed the instructions for the return of the equipment, which zeroed out my final bill... except for about $4 that was labeled "taxes and fees." I thought having taxes on a zero dollar bill was strange, so I reached out to customer service. I called their customer service number FIVE times and could never get past the automated robot. It didn't matter how I answered the automated questions; the final result would be that the robot would hang up on me. I had to redownload the app and use the AI chatbot to finally get to a real person. They removed the extraneous charge and I deleted the app, happy to be done with this company forever... And then the next month, they added a $5 "adjustment" to the prior bill period and billed me for this "past due balance." I redownloaded the app AGAIN, used the chatbot to access a real human, and got the charge removed again. In short, Frontier kept adding small random charges to my account after I discontinued service with them, and then made it really difficult to get them removed. These feel like incredibly scummy business practices and I would urge anyone to avoid doing business with them.
