Ordered Internet for my new location. Two techs showed up at the same day and same time. The second guy just stood around until the first guy was finished. The first guy left with the service working. The second guy just left the sealed boxes and left. Then they start charging me for two monthly fees for one street address. I called and complained and they said they would fix it after I return the new boxes to their store. I returned the boxes and ask for a receipt. The store refused to give me any paperwork showing I returned the two new sealed boxes. Then the sent me a bill for the two boxes $250. I called again and they removed that charge and without my permission they added television service and several pay channels when I specially told the sales person I do not watch television. So they ship me another two boxes to self install internet and start charging me something around $150 a month. I call again and get the TV service removed and they sent me to the store again to return the boxes (no receipt again). A month later they try to charge me for those boxes. I called again (and again and again) and this last person promised to get everything fixed. Yes, all the charges for the returned boxes was removed and all the unwanted services were also removed. That sales girl even got me a senior discount. Two months ago my monthly charge doubled and they stated I no longer get a senior discount (I promise you I didn't suddenly get much younger). The next month another $20 rate increase. Now I'm paying almost $100 a month for my $30 a month internet service. I believe that Spectrum gets government money for giving seniors a discount, but Spectrum keeps the government money and does not give seniors the discount (they kind of get paid double for one service). DOES SPECTRUM ONLY RIPOFF SENIORS OR DOES SPECTRUM RIPOFF ALL CUSTOMERS???? read more

My fiancé and I had some issues with our spectrum box so we had to go into the store and get help. Monica was so patient and helpful. She resolved all the problems we were experiencing and went above and beyond with her service! My fiancé and I were so impressed and grateful we could not believe how willing she was to help us, we kept talking about it after we left because sometime these trips can be a nightmare. So I tried porting my number and they said it's not possible to bring a number from spectrum to another spectrum phone so I went to a different location and they helped me out and I called customer service so I knew it was possible the kid was being lazy as well as his associates and there's not point in arguing with them it won't lead to anything so I left don't waste your time here. read more

It's been 1 year signed up-at first was hesitate but Verizon was getting to pricey just for 2 phones ! We did the switch . I did experience some of the complaints others have stated but sorry to hear. Our customer service went the xtra mile , maybe they were understaff & that s sad but more of a Mgmt issue. Hopefully management sees concerns of the needs of the customer that need to improve better in whatever is lacking. Seniors should not be left waiting & waiting -that s very sad to me . Spectrum has good service but if you want to cancel it they do not give any credit back. They charge monthly for the services and if you're canceling in the middle of the period you lose the money. They should provide credit in these kinds of scenarios. read more

Today was my first day setting up my internet service over the phone. The representative from customer service was so nice and made it so easy, and told me I was all good to pick up my equipment at this location. Upon arrival at 6:40 PM I was told by the associates that they "couldn't help me" because they wanted to leave at 7 on the dot and it was "too late". Mind you, I had just spoken with customer service 10 min prior to this interaction and they said everything was good to go and all I had to do was show my ID and THATS IT. The associates were so rude and didn't even bother asking what assistance I needed. Instead they practically threw me out of the store, and refused me service. If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible customer service! Yvonne Gonzalez needs to have customer service training. She was extremely rude and not willing to help or provide the proper guidance for me to get my problem resolved. When I asked to speak with a supervisor she said there is not one there. Yvonne must hate her job. Her response to us was that there was nothing she can do to help us and would not even try to get us connected with someone that could. Spectrum needs to hold their staff accountable for providing their customers with at least decent customer service. My daughter and I recently moved into an apartment and the ONLY internet provider that services the area is spectrum. I work from home and the request was for it to be installed in my room as I need to be directly connected however the technician said it was impossible which is a LIE, we've had similar issues in the past and they've ran cable wire into the needed room without an issue. However, this technicians favorite phrase was "I don't know". So we called spectrum and they stated that since the service is working they cannot come back into the home due to Covid and suggested we hire an electrician to fix the problem ourselves! Horrible horrible horrible service!!!! Legislation needs to change so people are not forced to live with high cost poor service, these companies need to earn our service! read more

I was waiting in line for more than 30 minutes. After talking with one of the clerks, Benjamin, if I could go upstairs to the food court and get something to eat, he said it's OK, you have plenty of time, To my surprise, when I came back my name was already called, Benjamín told me to check in back again and start over. Went there for returning my modem. I asked the person in counter why they charged me for next month and I already canceled my service. He told me I had to called them on 14th. I called spectrum much early and they disconnected my service on 20th. The phone support I talked to promised me I will not get charged on next month. This person made it sound like my fault. Had very important homework to do today, my modem from spectrum decided to stop working. I called and was told to turn in the modem for a new one. The location in Montclair said it is open till 8:30 online and on the door. Well when I got there at 8:15 the doors were locked. I drove all the way only for it to be closed. Spectrum is worse than ZERO star. Here is why: After over five years paying full fares ($200+), we decided it's time to stop the monthly colonoscopy without anesthesia. I brought the equipment to the payment/counter center with pretty layouts of phones and stuff they want to sell. I was informed the "NO PRORATE" policy for their services by the perky sales associate, and I still need to pay up to the next billing cycle. It sucks but fine, giving me more time to shop for new ISP. When I got home maybe one hour later. Lo and behold, both my programming and WiFi were killed. Since when Spectrum moves in lighting speed on customer's work order? I am on the other hand still on the hook for the services that were killed prematurely. I heard you suck, Spectrum, from other people, I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and look where that got me and how unbecoming I was yelling at your poorly trained staff after waiting on the phone for 45 minutes? Why was I lied to or they were just not well-trained to give customers average services? The title of my review should had read " A very generous ZERO STAR." read more

Do not use Spectrum. This company is very crooked. Once you decide to use them? You will be railroaded to buy other things you dont want or need. If they send you equipment in the mail? Even if you didnt recieve it? They'll bill you. This is shady type of shyster mentality. They will be super nice to you until you point out something against them. Then they dont give a crap about you. Put you on hold for long periods. Please do your research before hooking up with these types of companies. Dish also has a bad reputation for screwing it's customers. Look into internet hot spots or another internet company that has better online reviews. Check out company reviews first. Before investing your time and money. This is the best advice you'll get. After Spectrum screws you? It'll hurt your credit for something you never recieved. Or you will end up paying for equipment you never recieved at whatever price they feel like charging. So beware! Spectrum is very Crooked. Dont do business with them. You are not important to them. this is the worst place ive ever had to misfortune to visit, customer service ranks around minus 100 and the attitude of the service members was dismissive at best, plus it took three (3) personnel to look at one phone for 30 minutes and did nothing to even try to assist me. the funny part of the visit was to pay off the balance to my phone and upgrade and was told we dont take payments in the store ???? if this is true then why even open your doors. read more
