First I will say- This AT&T location has the absolute best customer service. I was having a problem with my 5g internet on my iphones, I have two lines. I called the customer service line, no live person, couldn't help me. Did online chat with a service rep. Couldn't fix my problem. I went to the Rancho Cucamonga store to talk to employees, they apparently looked bored, and lacking knowledge, and said yep yep gotta call blah blah... But....Where I purchased my phones, being a long time AT&T and apple customer, living here and in upland, stepped in and was helped by an employee named dree. Dree sold me my new plans , and phones a couple of months ago , very friendly and customer service oriented. She solved my problem within 20 mins, not having to call corporation, new exactly what she was talking about and doing, to where the other employees in another store couldn't help.and even The online chatbots couldn't either. Avoid this AT&T store. My wife and I ordered new phones from this AT&T retail store in Upland and they completely botched the entire trade-in process. We were not sent trade-in kits for our old phones which AT&T requires that you send in prior to 30-days after purchasing the phones. Our phones were not in stock, so they mailed them to our home address. However, upon trying to have the online chat agent send us trade-in kits to return our old phones, we kept getting the run around. When I tried calling the store to speak to the manager, they were too busy to take my call so I hung up after waiting on hold for over ten minutes. Take your business elsewhere. I went to two other AT&T stores to rectify the issue, and they said Oh, go back and get the SIM card from the Upland Store. Never advised me that if I took the SIM card or waited beyond 48 hours, we would have been charged for the lines and SIM cards. They also act so NICE and then withhold vital information from customers, who trust their so-called expertise. Also, make sure when you call the 855 # you speak to someone stateside, not international, because they told us to keep the lines to keep the discount, and they can't cancel the lines or provide us the SIM cards that were charged to our account. I got my new bill it went up $250 a month because I have 5 lines and they all went up, this was a good store for years but must be under new management because they have a lot of one stars reviews as of late, this employee should be fired. I recently switched from an iPhone 4 to a Galaxy SII Skyrocket. The Skyrocket requires a new AT&T 4G compatible sim card. I went to the AT&T on Indian Hill in Claremont but they wanted $25 for the sim card. I later discovered that while the store was big and looked corporate, it actually was not a corporate store. But this location is a corporate store. I went around 4pm and the lines were long. I waited 30 minutes. Tyerra assisted me. She got me a new sim and activated it free of charge. Customer service has gone out the window. From the time I told the person helping me that I was not there for an upgrade, his demeanor and level of attention was gone. The so called manager was helping me but would get up to help someone else, take a private phone call outside, then while I was providing information to a rep on the phone (at his direction) he decided to yell across the room to a customer sitting a waiting area. The rep had to ask me 3 times to repeat because of the yelling in the speaker. At this point I had enough of his being rude and not helpful and said that his customer service has been a joke thus far in comparison to the rep on the phone. This made him literally jump out of his chair and get within 4 inches of me and started yelling loudly that I need to leave his store and that if I did not he would call the cops. On what basis I'm not sure. I kept my tone and composure all while the store manger was having a yelling match getting in my face and ear. All the while the rep helping me on the phone was listening. I did not leave the store as I was trying to complete my transaction and told the manager this. He said, "good luck getting anything done on your account." At which point I replied, "are you threatening to do something to my account?" This made me nervous as he account has access to well, all my details such as address, etc. The rep on the phone heard all of this and said she would be able to help me without his help and that I should leave and she'd provide the phone number to make a complaint about this store manager. She said a manager of all people should never be yelling like that. He's there to help and diffuse issues not make them worse. I just walked out of this store because the guy working there had the worst attitude. I understand that there is an issue with the corona virus but it doesn't constitute terrible service! When I walked in, he was assisting a couple so I get he was preoccupied, but w the most monotone voice and without even looking in my direction, he says be right with you. Almost dismissive about it. When he was done with the couple he walked to the little table and seemed so unwilling to help, asked what can we do for you.. again with a terrible disposition. I mentioned I was interested in an upgrade. Again, with a curt response he said have an ID? I did not and it just went down from there... he was so unprofessional. I bring up the virus because he said they only have the green iPhone and I asked if I could see it. He proceeded to bring out his personal phone, so I kindly asked if I can see it.. he said you can't touch my phone!! Then why offer it!?! Wow. I don't know where to start. I went into the att store today to look at new phones. I was surprised to walk in and see that none of the new Apple phones or Samsung phones were on display. A sales associate told me that people steal them so they can't put them on display. I have to buy one to see it. She then said her manager would come out and show them to me. Worse service I have ever experienced. The manager was rude. Came in because our family upgraded their phones and when we activated 3 out of the 4 lines one of the lines got deactivated. They sold us on the idea that we would receive $700 credit for our trade ins and when we came in to drop off our old phones they told us that the best they could do was $300 because it had a scratch on it. Asked to speak to the manager and was greeted to a man that barely made eye contact with me and he wasn't very helpful told us and I quote "we can go back in forth all day but there's nothing I can do for you" just flat out disrespectful. Well I came in at 1230 and my name was put on the waiting list as next in line. There were 3 sales persons helping customers. Another female came in and her name appearred as number two under me. The store manager Daniel, came in and started helping her. He was helping her Over a 1/2 hour showing her how to transfer pics to a flash drive. An hour after checking in, and now he's done with her, I get called. I asked the manager why I was skipped he said "I was told she was next" by another female employee that was taking names. I had an AMAZING experience here! Unfortunately due to Covid, I was a little skeptical about going out but needed a phone ASAP and decided to take the risk anyway. I am SO GLAD that I did! The second that I walked in I was greeted by staff, and since I had an appointment I was helped right away despite customers waiting (little tip for those who are new to AT&T). ZOHEL was amazing at helping me out! He was kind from the second I walked in and even excelled in his service by making me laugh and being a genuinely nice guy. The time passed by super quick and the entire transaction and service that he gave to me was SMOOTH and super A+ easy. He even showed me a cool way to transfer from phone to phone in the future. Last thing I would like to give an amazing 5 stars to is how CLEAN the staff and store were! All the displays were taken down, there were cleaning supplies and sanitizer available EVERYWHERE (including each and every individual table), and all of the employees were wearing their masks CORRECTLY! We came in to get a new iPhone at this location, however, quickly regretted coming here. The sales associate was trying to help us get a good deal and we were at first interested in hearing about it but ultimately decided the deals wouldn't work for us and just wanted to finance a new phone. The sales associate did not explain the deals well and made the process confusing. Not only that, but after we told him that we were not interested in what the deals were, he kept trying to push them on us. He left to check in with his manager and we were waiting for a while. He came back trying to push more and up-sell us. We made it very clear that we were not interested in adding Direct TV as we don't watch TV, yet he kept trying and trying. He finally went to grab the phone we wanted and came back with expensive headphones and expensive cases trying to then sell us on those and tell us about more deals. Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere. The manager and sales team at this store need to learn that you can't keep pushing customers on products and services that they don't need or want. This whole process took a little over an hour and we walked away with no purchase made. To contrast that experience, we went to the nearest apple store to try there and it took a total of 15 minutes to walk out with a phone and a pleasant experience. Don't bother coming here . Claudia assisted us in getting us new phones and tablets for my family and provided FALSE information. She offered this information which is the worst part and when we call to ask them to make it right. They tell us we must speak with Claudia herself or they can't do anything about it. She stated that ALL activation fees will be waived. She said " GREAT NEWS, all activation fees will be waived. All you have to do is call the 800 number and ask them to waive and they SHOULD" I knew right away something was wrong with the way she said it. I asked her " They should?? What gurantees that they will?" She simply said well if the first representative doesn't call again and they will, and if that doesn't work , come back to the store and ill call. Well here I am 3 months later, slammed with activation fees that I have to pay for. I called the store who told me that I could just walk in and speak to any associate who can assist me. So we went, and they refused to add notes to our account to waive because Claudia wasn't there. They also stated that they no longer waive activation fees , Really?? Thats not what Claudia said. She voluntarily offered this information, we didn't even ask ( thats the worst part). We have always been taken care of when we have come in. We just switched over to AT&T and the service has been amazing but we had an issue with our bill and we were getting way over charged, we had to go in multiple times before someone figured out the issue. It did get frustrating at times but we were taken care of by the manager and she was very patient and made us feel understood. We will always come to this store over the others!
