The pizza is phenomenal, the bread/dough is sooo good. I've never had pizza dough like this before. I actually devour the crust, something I never do. Came here when they first opened and got the shroom pizza- delicious. Came back today and they had an all new menu, so I tried the Baby Kale pizza. Wow, so friggen good. you don't feel as guilty either because of the kale lol. Its perfect crunch to softness ratio. It's hard to eat this pizza slowly, it's that good. A little pricer than the average pizza for the size- but honestly, it's worth it. They have vegetarian, vegan and meat options. I like that the menu is simple yet the ingredients they use are pretty unique. read more

"Spectacular! I'll take 14 of them!" Haha I had sadly almost given up on trying new pizza because I haven't had good pizza in a while. Pizza should have crispy crust, crispy pepperoni, delicious sauce and Speak Cheezy didn't fall short! It was soooo good and hit the spot. This will be my go-to from now on. We've been wanting to try this place for a while, and when another unnamed 4th Street pizza joint was unexpectedly closed on "Pi Day," we finally decided to give Speak Cheezy a try. We are so glad we did! They were super busy for a Thursday night, but the team handled it like champs. We got the "Sausage Neat" with two sides of Dilly Ranch. The pizza was gorgeous, and the ranch was sooo good - the perfect amount of dill, perfect consistency, yum. The cashier thanked every customer for their patience as they were a little backed up due to the rush, but she was holding down the fort. We will be back for sure! read more

As someone who grew up in New York City literally above a pizzeria, I was skeptical of this upstart pizza company with the funny name. As we locals mourned the loss of Scratch Baked Goods, we waited impatiently for this place to open. It seemed to take owner and Chef Jason Winters forever to get his first store front up and running after a success with a gourmet pizza truck. Tonight was the night. With out of town guests to impress, we ordered the Tie-Dye pie, the Meatza, Shroomsday Button and the Bloomsdale. We had a small problem with our order, and the staff and Chef Jason's graciousness in making everything right more than made up for it. Taste: Each pizza is a symphony of gourmet flavors and ingredients, a unique take on an old favorite or something entirely new. Chef Jason has created a lineup of 13 inch masterpieces. The ever-so-slightly sourdough tang of the crust makes even the little burnt edges savory and delightful. I have been trying this place since the first day it opened. Quality is hit or miss. Came by today because it is so close to my house. Pepperoni pizza on the wall is $24. I ordered it and their system charged me 25. Then I was interested and I looked online and it's 25.50. I guess knuckleheads keep paying these guys so business is good. Looks pretty shitty when you can't get your pricing together. Read a bunch of reviews. This owner seems to be in denial. Maybe it's time to get out of the neighborhood... Lastly...the food. Seriously under cheesed, under sauced and lacked toppings. On top of that. HALF of the bottom was burned black! (See picture) If you like trendy, go here. Fool yourself into thinking it's good. Last night we went to Speak Cheezy on 4th St at Termino. First off, EXCELLENT customer service! We had the Shroomday Button (Oyster and Maitake Mushrooms, Leeks, truffle cheese, and mozzarella). Per their suggestion, I added the Hobbs Sausage. It was delicious sausage and we loved that pizza! We also had the Bloomsdale (garlicky bloomsdale spinach, mozzarella, pecorino, smoked ricotta, and feta salsa verde)... and YUM! And we decided to try the Garden of Farms Little Gem Caesar Salad (little gems, caesar dressing, pizza croutons, anchovies, Fiscalini Gold cheese, and soft cooked egg). Again, tasty, tasty, tasty. Speak Cheezy sure seems to use high-end products in the creation of their incredible pizzas and salads. Everything was top notch. Came here to try after seeing it on tiktok. I got a Pepperoni slice and a slice of their special (which had pineapple, jalapeño, and onions). The pepperoni slice was a bit too salty for my taste and the crust was burnt. However, the special was good & would def eat that one again. Had the cheese pizza. Ordered pick up. The person at register was very friendly and welcoming. Chef/cook came outside to ask how it was...the people that work at this restaurant know how to cook a really good pizza. 8.1 is my score. Prob would've been higher if it were hot/more fresh. But it wasn't very hot when I came to pick it up based it on the time told. Even still, one of the better pizzerias in the South Bay. Crust had a great char/crunch. I love sourdough but couldn't tell the difference. The tomato sauce is actually what sealed the deal. I will come back for more pizza. This place is easily some of the best in Long Beach. read more

Stumbled upon this fun little local pizzeria. At first the prices seem high. But the quality and size of the pizza makes it all worth it. The Brooklyn bee was my favorite.. Honey on pizza.. Be careful ordering here. They put ingredients that are not listed on their menu that could cause serious allergic reactions, then lie about it when you call them out. Using a spicey vodka sauce with three different peppers when the menu says vodka sauce makes a difference when you are allergic to chili pepper of any kind. Anphalactic shock level allergic. Thankfully, my sister could smell the chili's before she took a bite. Not cool to spend over $50 on a pizza, then have the owner argue with you about their mistake. He did offer a free slice. He should have re-made a new pizza, in my opinion. Most restaurants fix their mistake. This place offers a $5 slice to make up for their $50 mistake. Although I was the only one who could eat the pizza, I would say it was good. A little over cooked on the bottom. I love pizza charred on top, but come on, don't burn the bottom. Toppings, sauce, and cheese were great quality. I was really excited to try this place. Hopefully, they get it together. Sourdough crust is my favorite for pizza. read more

Amazing pizza. Quality ingredients. You get what you pay for. My only complaint is that one side of ranch is $1/$1.50 and they never fill the little cup up completely. It is good ranch though. My husband has a gluten allergy (not celiac) and he can eat the pizza crust here because they long ferment the dough. No issues at all! Love this place. Definitely worth a try. read more

My son is a pizza connoisseur because he literally eats pizza almost everyday from all his favorite places. He saw Speak Cheezy on TikTok and wanted to try it out. It was voted one of the best pizzas in America. So of course we had to come check it out. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was very good, a bit on the greasier side than we like but still good. It's also a bit pricey for an entire pizza (one size only) but we don't mind paying the price if it's worth it. Inside is very small so your lucky if you get a table during peak hours. The girls working are super friendly so that's a plus for me. :) They also offer you free samples of their ice cream, vanilla and a blackberry basil. Will definitely be back. read more

First timer! The staff were friendly! The menu has something for everyone and is definitely an elevated experience when compared to any other small business serving pizza. We sat at some bench seating along the window which was great to pick up on the chill vibes of this small, corner pizzeria. They even have outdoor seating, which I will try next time since it's in such a cute neighborhood. We ordered the special salad of the day that had locally sourced, organic arugula, persimmon, walnut, w/ pomegranate vinaigrette. The "Tie Dye", the "Brooklyn Bee", and shave ice with Strauss vanilla ice cream, elderflower infused sweetened condensed milk, popping mango boba, and handmade mochi. As a pizza connoisseur, I was waiting to try this place. The inside is very clean and super cute. The employees are all friendly and very helpful but I definitely recommend calling in your order unless you're ordering by the slice. The price point is higher than we expected, even for a non-specialty pizza, so this definitely isn't your discount pizza kind of place. Ordered from this place in the past and was impressed. This time, not so much. Ordered the LBC with the regular crust and although it was tasty, the bottom was burnt. Also ordered the truffle shuffle , but with the thin crust. For the price ( also think it's crazy to charge extra for the thin crust when they already charge a lot ) they are very skimpy on the toppings. $70 for 2 pies after taxes and tip is fine but it best be on point! Sadly , it was not. Won't be returning. read more

Our order consisted of four SoCal fries (which are basically buffalo fries from The Buffalo Spot with a drizzle of cheese and ranch), a 10-piece nugget, a small fry, a large order of mozzarella sticks, a Thai tea, and a few sides of sauces. To speak bluntly, the experience turned sour for me as soon as I started placing my phone order. While I was ordering sauces, I was rudely cut off by the man working: "Yeah, yeah, anything else?" I felt like I was being rushed off the phone, even after mentioning it was my first time ordering and kindly asking questions about their sauces. The customer service here just overall gave me the ick. Anyways, onto the food. I was super excited for my SoCal fries. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, and I opted for the spicy BBQ. On first impression I was surprised with the generous portions. I ordered a small Socal fries that looked more like a medium. As soon as I dug into my meal, I was met with immediate disappointment; the popcorn chicken on my SoCal fries was extremely stale. It tasted as if they served us three-day-old fried chicken that had been left sitting out. My siblings and mom also agreed the chicken was super hard. I ended up just eating some of the fries and threw the rest away. Before tossing it, I tried drenching the fries in their Cajun sauce (which is over $1 per sauce, btw), and even though I really wanted to like it, it had a weird aftertaste. You'd think that a joint that specializes in fried chicken and wings would serve fresh chicken but on the contrary, my chicken was inedible, gross, and clearly old. I love supporting local businesses, but I refuse to support a place that exhibits rude customer service and serves subpar frozen food that I could throw together at home. It did taste like slight parm, which, even if a little bit more Parmesan was added, maybe this would've tasted a bit better. But apparently all the Parmesan was reserved only for the salads. (This dish was supposed to have a duck base, but this was not cooked properly) not only was I simply turned off by this dish, there was nobody by to help or even get it to go box. But quite honestly, I just left the food which is so sad. Left over pasta is always so good but I really could not continue eating this as I truly did not enjoy the taste. I left hungry and sadly disappointed.

Reposting after owner took town last review. Owner has been harassing me on Insta and Yelp for weeks now. Tried to make a phone order a couple of months ago and the owner claims my wife yelled at him after he and his team rudely answered our questions, with "NOPE" and "WE DON'T HAVE THOSE BUDDY." I left a comment on Yelp and Jason, the owner, decided to start badgering my wife via caller ID and text. UNTIL I got involved then all of a sudden, stopped. Jason, the owner, has been calling both of us "ENTITLED" with "UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS." We called the spot early evening, around 7pm and after trying to place an order since we were trying to support. I guess the had a busy night so now the owner is pleading with me to remove my posts but I'm a LB local and people should know there options and why they should avoid this place! Over $30 for a cheese pie, haha! Food's never been great but, again, I wanted to support these guys. Shame on you, Speak Cheesey! Though not the largest size available, the sheer scale and generous portions of the circular pie still fascinated our guests. We also added an order of Buffalo wings with ranch dressing. Both the pizza and wings were OUTSTANDING and something I would gladly order again.
