Most of the food is unbeatable. We ordered an order to go as this restaurant was recommended to us. We had to throw out half the order as it was either overcooked and soggy. Management said they would make it right by refunding our meal and giving us a gift card so we could have a good experience. Hit the spot after a day in the snow! Enjoyed their NFL football menu burger+beer deal! $9 for burger and any draft beer! Added blue cheese to my burger for $1 although you can add other things such as bacon for $3 or an egg for $3. The burger was cooked to my liking and was super delicious and filling! Two stars for Fender Benderz tonight...and here's why: 1) we had to ask to place a drink order, 2) 2 of 4 apps plates were dirty and had to go back, 3) clock in our head said it was taking too long for wing app to be delivered, 4) dinner was delivered in parts- 3 of us were served while the last in our group waited another 5 minutes for her meal, 5) no silverware- the waitress told us they didn't have any, then delivered 2 forks...a third eventually was delivered , 6) asked for zip code to ring out my debit card, 7) the "our burgers are served medium" thing, don't believe them, it was well done, 8) charged a 3% living wage onto the bill...just put it in the prices. So if you go, beware! The struggle to find help is real and as the waitress said to us when we asked a question about the experience, "it's not my fault". We go here every time we are in Avon and this trip was no different. Friendly staff, fun decor and menu choices for different tastes. We always order the fried pickles (so good!) and an entree- the prices are reasonable for the area and you get a hardy meal. Great burgers and the fries were excellent. The basket of fries could probably feed 3-4 people. Burgers were not greasy and it was tasty. Unfortunately we are mourning the loss of the restaurant that used to be SouthSide Benderz. We normally come in the summer after rafting the Upper Colorado, decided to stop on our way home from GJ this time. I feel like this is going to start being the trend, especially with the minimum wage for service industry being raised, inflation on food costs, understaffing, etc. Shout out to our server, Benito, who was definitely an MVP! hustling SO hard while we were there! He was doing the very best he could! So- 5 stars for Benito But the food has absolutely taken a downward turn for the very worst. The food was good. 2 single burgers- $6.95?! each, one w/cheese, order of fries and onion rings - perfect. Margaritas were a bit on the sour side, but that is the only was the only mis step. Terrible! No manager, no greeting, no happy employees, food was warm and not hot. A server knocked a beer onto me, my coat, my burger, my fries, the beer was not ours but one set on a half wall by a patron at the bar. That server was obviously distressed already. Said sorry, brought paper towel. Our server just shrugged. Really bad, really it's no stars, and a terrible look for local operators. Cannot think of a worse experience. read more

We were very hungry after spending several hours at Park Hyatt spa at beaver Creek, and this was one of the first places we came to with food as we came down the mountain. Dr Couch and I were so glad we stopped. We both had burgers with cheddar cheese. I had the regular fries, and she had garlic Parmesan fries. Everything was excellent. The service was spectacular. Southside Benderz is one of my regular stops in Avon. The food and drink are always very good and reasonably priced. The service on the other hand, not so much this time. I went there on January 11, 2024 at 4:45pm to enjoy a happy hour burger and a beer. The place was about 1/2 full, not nearly at capacity. I sat for 20 minutes before my server showed up. He then told me that happy hour ended 5 minutes ago at 5:00. I asked for the manager who did make it right, but I didn't go there for this kind of hassle. read more
