Cajun seafood boil
Sophanny S.

It's definitely an older spot, looks like a whole in the wall place, windows are a bit tattered, but overall it's a good spot. a spot by the sea location with a view of the water was what I was looking for and this spot was exactly that. We ordered food first and then sat down near a window. It had a nice breeze through since we were near one of the window openings. The service was good as well. I love seafood so I couldn't help myself and got the Cajun seafood boil. It was amazing. It did not disappoint! My friends got the clam chowder and seafood chowder which they liked. My friend also got the fire burger which said it was spicy, but my friend said it wasn't spicy at all. ‍

This café was nothing special, and somewhat overpriced. It provides a nice little break from the craziness of Pike market. The food was mediocre, the service was decent. The salad bar looked a little scary. It does provide a nice view of the water front.

Sound View Cafe is one of my go-to places to eat in the Pike market. They have good chowder and a salad bar. The seating is tight, but if you're lucky you can get a window seat with a cool view of the water and the Farris wheel. The staff are friendly, and the food has been quickly served each time I've eaten here. It's kind of pricey, but it's expected in the market. I'd suggest getting a cup of chowder and a salad bar plate - pile up the vegetables on the salad bar to get your money's worth.

We were a large party of 14 people and came to the restaurant on Black Friday. Great location and casual ambience. We all got tables within 5-6 minutes of waiting. We ordered clam chowder in sourdough as well as bowl, chicken quesadillas and fettuccine Alfredo chicken. Food was good, service was prompt and courteous. Happy campers

Clam chowder + bread bowl

The clam chowder was great, and I don't even like clams. But the salmon chowder is akin to a religious experience and was genuinely the highlight of my 3 day trip. I made a special trip back into the city to get another two bowls for myself, boyfriend be damned. 10/10. Service with a smile always, and the ambiance was decent (diner/cafe vibes).

3-Egg Breakfast

Line was too long at Ludi's and Biscuit Bitch was a let down, so decided to come here. Figured it'd be a tourist trap at Pike Place Market, but was pleasantly surprised. Tasty 3-egg breakfast with potatoes, turkey sausage, and sourdough toast. Not usually a fan of turkey products, but this sausage had great flavor. Potatoes were on point and the sourdough toast was almost worth the price-tag alone. The latte was top notch; rich, creamy, flavorful. Service was quick and there is a nice view of the sound and Olympic Mountains, albeit somewhat obstructed.

Honestly I thought the food here was great. We spent our last morning in Seattle exploring Pikes Place Market early before the crowds and got here right as they opened. Service was quick and they have high chairs for small kiddos. You order up at the counter, have a seat and they bring everything out. One great thing about this spot is it has a nice view of the bay to enjoy while you eat. Food wise, we really enjoy everything we ordered. Clam chowder in a bread bowl really hit the spot, the crab omelet was on point, and the seafood bowl over rice was so dank tasty. 'Til next time, cheers!

I had been wanting to check out this spot for years. We were finally kid free and decided to stop by. My pancake and fruit was very delicious. My husband enjoyed his Clam chowder bread bowl. The view was prefect, it wasn't to busy at all. It was on a Sunday around 10am. The customer service was really Great too. I definitely want to go back and try maybe a lunch or dinner item. Unfortunately, the coffee was terrible to me. She did remake it but I ended up giving it to my husband. It was a vanilla latte, and the self serve coffee was not hot. My husband didn't mind the coffee. I am big on coffee, I go different places just to try their coffee. It's just unfortunate, hopefully they change it. I feel like it's an easy fix to change whatever recipe they are using because I did not like the latte or the self serve at all. That kinda ruined my breakfast for me. I specifically looked up a breakfast spot, with a good view, that had decent coffee pics. Very disappointed but the pancakes were perfect.

Super cute lil restaurant!! Seats by the window also offer amazing view of the water Grilled cheese was hot and fresh. Nice crispy slices of toast and not too greasy. The soup was tart but a little too creamy for my liking. I did enjoy the chunky texture though. Pasta was cooked aldente, sauce was flavorful. Don't expect mind blowing life changing food. It's more of a comfort cozy place instead - kind of a you get what you order no nonsense kinda place! IG: Spillingthe.beans

The view

Wonderful service and nice view. It seemed a lil pricey until my turkey BLT came with turkey bacon AND actual turkey slices (not deli meat). The mimosas were delicious too. It is a lil small and you seat yourself but also there wasn't a line and the staff was attentive. I would come again for the the salmon chowder!!! It's in the Pile Place Market on the left end if you're facing the market.

We visited this place after returning to Seattle from an Alaskan cruise. This placed is nestled in the back of Pike Place-can be quite tricky to find. Great service. Great food. Fresh. pancakes like clouds. The prices are a little high but the portion sizes were enough to match in my opinion. Coffee was excellent The waterfront view is an additional perk. I really enjoyed and would definitely visit again if in Seattle at the market.

Salmon hash & chicken quesadilla
Adriana U.

3 stars for the view it was ok. Food was probably not my favorite. To each their own. The salmon hash was extra expensive but not tasty or even had a lot of salmon. The portions are small so be aware. Woman who took our order was nice. But overall 3/10 won't be coming back but glad we tried it as our first time. ALSO it's first come first serve for seats. They have a sign that says don't sit u til you've ordered but no one listened anyway. lol

Busy Saturday

Good menu options. Fast service. Great view. The food is okay-flavor wise. Prices are what one expects at the market.

I waited about 30 mins which was not bad at all considered the day it was. The was kind, friendly and so sweet! I wish I would have gotten her name. Now onto the food, starting off with the latte. It was your typical average latte. I did like how strong it was and it came with a kitty paw! (Barista said he was inspired by his cats that morning lol). I tried both sweet and savory dutch babies, and even though I'm a savory person, I liked the sweet one better. It was creamy and bread was soft! The fruits added the perfect texture and sweetness to it. The savory was okay, keep in mind this is also my first time trying a dutch baby, but I would have liked it to have more veggies maybe? I think I was expecting more of it but it was mid to me. The breakfast plate wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Just your basic breakfast plate. The place is super cute and a bit small! It was a sunny morning so we had a lot of light coming through which I loved!

They had an amazing selection of pastries, though I didn't try any. I got their Caramelized Banana Latte to satisfy my sweet tooth, and it wasn't too banana-flavored nor too sweet; the black sesame in it balanced it nicely. I also got the Urban Pesto, which was SO yum. I was little skeptical of the focaccia - sometimes I find it to be too puffy, and thus hard to eat the sandwich - but this had a lovely panini press on it that made it easy to eat. The in-house herby cheese in the sandwich made each bite just that much more delicious. The staff was also super nice and accommodating to my parents' requests and questions. Can't wait to come back to try their other food and bev options!

Both counter folks were personable and welcoming. I was able to sit at a two top and remain cool during my brief visit on that hot Tuesday early afternoon. I haven't…read morebeen to this location before and I preferred it to my usual location on Roosevelt in UDistrict. It's much more open and comfortable and lends to a nice ambiance. It was quite busy which we anticipated, so I would highly recommend making a reservation. We were seated right away with our reservation time, but it did take some time to be served. I enjoyed the hot coffee with a bit of cream. It was good; my only comment is that I wasn't offered a refill at any point, and we were there for over an hour. To be fair, it was SUPER busy; like at least 100 people in the dining room. I had one of their seasonal specials, the peaches and cream Swedish pancakes. It was a generous portion included with a trip to the berry bar. The berry bar was very fresh and well maintained as far as cleanliness. It was also in a prime location, near the tables but not too close and not in the way of the walking path. The peaches were juicy and sweet and the cream cheese frosting was a decadent topping. I added some berries which made it extra special. I liked the caramel shards, but they were a little on the thick side for my liking and were a bit tough to eat. However, I really enjoyed the dish overall! I also got a side of peppered bacon which was well-cooked, crispy, and extra peppery. My friend got the classic French toast and a side of potatoes. She loved the French toast with the included berry bar trip! However, the potatoes were cut into HUGE pieces which were difficult to eat even though they were cooked through. I would definitely come back here! If you're looking for a popular brunch spot with delicious sweet brunch options, check on Portage Bay Cafe SLU!

For the price, the quality and execution were not acceptable. We used to enjoy coming here, but unfortunately, this visit was a significant letdown. I hope the restaurant takes the feedback seriously and works on improving both the food quality and consistency.
