Sound View Cafe is one of my go-to places to eat in the Pike market. They have good chowder and a salad bar. The seating is tight, but if you're lucky you can get a window seat with a cool view of the water and the Farris wheel. The staff are friendly, and the food has been quickly served each time I've eaten here. It's kind of pricey, but it's expected in the market. I'd suggest getting a cup of chowder and a salad bar plate - pile up the vegetables on the salad bar to get your money's worth.

The clam chowder was great, and I don't even like clams. But the salmon chowder is akin to a religious experience and was genuinely the highlight of my 3 day trip. I made a special trip back into the city to get another two bowls for myself, boyfriend be damned. 10/10. Service with a smile always, and the ambiance was decent (diner/cafe vibes).

Honestly I thought the food here was great. We spent our last morning in Seattle exploring Pikes Place Market early before the crowds and got here right as they opened. Service was quick and they have high chairs for small kiddos. You order up at the counter, have a seat and they bring everything out. One great thing about this spot is it has a nice view of the bay to enjoy while you eat. Food wise, we really enjoy everything we ordered. Clam chowder in a bread bowl really hit the spot, the crab omelet was on point, and the seafood bowl over rice was so dank tasty. 'Til next time, cheers!

I had been wanting to check out this spot for years. We were finally kid free and decided to stop by. My pancake and fruit was very delicious. My husband enjoyed his Clam chowder bread bowl. The view was prefect, it wasn't to busy at all. It was on a Sunday around 10am. The customer service was really Great too. I definitely want to go back and try maybe a lunch or dinner item. Unfortunately, the coffee was terrible to me. She did remake it but I ended up giving it to my husband. It was a vanilla latte, and the self serve coffee was not hot. My husband didn't mind the coffee. I am big on coffee, I go different places just to try their coffee. It's just unfortunate, hopefully they change it. I feel like it's an easy fix to change whatever recipe they are using because I did not like the latte or the self serve at all. That kinda ruined my breakfast for me. I specifically looked up a breakfast spot, with a good view, that had decent coffee pics. Very disappointed but the pancakes were perfect.

Super cute lil restaurant!! Seats by the window also offer amazing view of the water Grilled cheese was hot and fresh. Nice crispy slices of toast and not too greasy. The soup was tart but a little too creamy for my liking. I did enjoy the chunky texture though. Pasta was cooked aldente, sauce was flavorful. Don't expect mind blowing life changing food. It's more of a comfort cozy place instead - kind of a you get what you order no nonsense kinda place! IG: Spillingthe.beans

We visited this place after returning to Seattle from an Alaskan cruise. This placed is nestled in the back of Pike Place-can be quite tricky to find. Great service. Great food. Fresh. pancakes like clouds. The prices are a little high but the portion sizes were enough to match in my opinion. Coffee was excellent The waterfront view is an additional perk. I really enjoyed and would definitely visit again if in Seattle at the market.

Good menu options. Fast service. Great view. The food is okay-flavor wise. Prices are what one expects at the market.

Great counter-service cafe with a spectacular view! Walking in, you go directly to the counter and order. They have a QR code you can scan to see the menu, or you can use the blackboard above the register. I ordered the turkey blt and a coke (canned, so I was handed my drink) then chose my seat. I went on a relatively clear day, so the view was outstanding. The food was great. My sandwich had a homemade feel on sliced wheat bread, but the quality of the turkey? Not what I'm buying at a grocery store. It was thick slices of turkey breast, where you can see it's not processed into oblivion. It was a hearty sandwich served with kettle potato chips and a pickle spear. The price is on par with the area; you're paying a premium for the view but the food is quality lunch fare. Burgers, sandwiches, etc. It reminded me of some of the long running family restaurants with quality ingredients made perfectly with no frills. A fantastic meal for the right price.

The view is great the food was fast and very taste full compared to all the places we had eaten on our stay in Seattle. The coffee is better than most around Seattle and the service was great.

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).

They served the coffees with a little shortbread cookie, and these little details really elevated the whole experience. Also, the cappuccino was so foamy, and it hit the spot immediately. The breakfast menu was also fantastic. The TPC Breakfast plate included sausage, potatoes, bacon, bread, and some scrambled eggs. There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance.
