Great coffee. Yummy food. But its the customer service that won me over. We had a small baby shower (party of six) at this location. The staff was very accommodating and allowed us to take over the half of the patio area and rearrange their tables. Anthony kept checking in on us and making sure whatever are needs are were met. Pretty bummed to have to update this review as previously Sotta was my absolute favorite coffee shop in Burbank. I came here a few days ago to work and set up in one of the corner booths by an outlet. I got a coffee in the morning to start and then in the afternoon took a break and got food. There was a pretty heavy lunch rush in the middle but nobody bothered me. It was all around a great experience. Today I decided to come back to repeat the experience. The lunch rush began and I was approached and asked to move. He pointed to his watch and claimed I'd "been there since 11." I thought this was already pretty aggressive to begin with. I've been to plenty of coffee shops in LA where the tables are full of people camped out on laptops, I wasn't doing anything inappropriate. I would have moved just to avoid confrontation, or rather left, however I actually had a few people on their way to join me for a scheduled meeting. I explained that and that's why I needed the table (which I deserved anyway because I was already seated there). The guy was still aggressive with me and demanded to know when they were arriving exactly. I managed to fend him off but he came back around a few minutes later still demanding me to move and refusing to drop it. I've never in my life been made to feel so uncomfortable as a customer. I've been to much busier establishments and never been so aggressively pressured to leave my table, especially when it's so commonplace in LA for people to work in coffee shops. If you are just coming here to grab a bite to eat I'm sure you'll be fine, but I don't plan on coming back here for a while, not because they're undeserving of any business, but purely because I would hate to be put through that ordeal again. read more

This is my new place to get some healthy grub... Funny enough I kept passing this place and wondering where I could get myself some Kebabs. Fortunately my partner found it one night and we decided to give it a try.. At first glance this place looks sophisticated like you have to make dinner reservations with some nice outdoor seating.. It is also really nice on the inside with some wonderful delicious pastries waiting and tempting you to cheat on your diet right when you walk in (I will be back for you lol). The customer service here is excellent!! The three times I have been here I have been greeted with a smile and have been helped right away. Good job! I have placed orders over the phone and through yelp and they have always been ready on time. Their food is delicious.. You can taste that their ingredients are of high quality and meats are of high grade. I have had the salmon and we have also had the chicken.. both have been tender, juicy and very flavorful. Their portions are big and their prices are decent. There is plenty of parking up front but I think it's 20 minute max. There is also residential parking if you don't mind gettin steps in. My favorite part of coming to Sotta is choosing the sides. Love the tomato soup and mushrooms. I choose my husbands sides so I can have his also muahaha. If you have a kiddo with you can choose fries as a side (they have high chairs if you ask) Our thai salad (I got with salmon, so good), chicken gyro, and chicken plate and a little pink cheesecake for desert came out to $58 and it was so much food. I happened to be in the area so I decided to stop by as I was craving some Middle eastern/Mediterranean food while I was in Burbank. It got great reviews on Yelp so I was excited to try it. They have a small parking lot but it was full when I got there but I was able to snag some residential parking nearby. Once you enter, you place your order at the front counter and then find your seat. It was a spacious place, they had both indoor/outdoor seating and I chose to sit inside because it was getting a little toasty. The restaurant was pretty busy which is always a good sign. They have a complimentary water station by the door but I decided to get some iced tea as well because why not? I ordered the Boneless Chicken Kebob (Dark meat of course) with 2 sides. I just finished a workout so I was trying to be healthy so I opted for the salad instead of the rice and for my 2 sides I got the Shirazi salad and babaganoush. Of course after the fact I realized I had a lot of salad on my plate and I regretted not ordering more carbs or hummus!! The food was pretty good, I liked the babaganoush and the garlic sauce. I wish there was more meat for the price I paid. This place is a little more pricier than some of the other similar restaurants I go to in Glendale, so that's why I took off a star. I wish they had an option to add another kebob or something for the people looking for a little more meat. Otherwise this place is pretty good. Went here for lunch a week ago and gotta say should have cancelled my order as soon as I heard another patron complaining about all the extra charges. Got a salmon plate and was asked what other 2 sides? When I asked the cashier if it came with my plate she said "yes, it's $1 extra for each" so it really doesn't come with the plate. This place definitely charges you for anything they could and to top it off the food was nothing special. You are literally paying for atmosphere of anything. I ordered a Dark Meat Boneless Chicken with rice, Shirazi Salad, babaganoush and it came with garlic sauce and pita. My order was via Yelp takeout therefore I didn't have to deal with waiting in line. From the looks of it you order at the counter then find a seat. They have outdoor patio seating which looked really nice on a sunny afternoon. Parking: There's a TINY lot in the back but you're better off looking for neighborhood parking at lunch hour. As for my order, the chicken was delicious, tender, well seasoned, and very flavorful from the charred grilled bits. The garlic sauce added that creamy saucy element the chicken was missing. The shirazi Salad was a cucumber and tomato salad with this lemony dressing but personally I wasn't a fan of the dressing. The salad was still enjoyable but I found the dressing overpowering. The babaganoush was an extra order for $1 and it was very mild tasting but very much appetizing with the pita. I'd definitely recommend this place to others. Price wise I'm not sure if this is more or less expensive but it was $16-$17 total for my meal. I'd come back to try the tiramisu bar or lemon bar. The baked goods looked amazing! read more

Came to Sotta for lunch with a colleague. I do have to say that the food was excellent, but I did feel it was a bit overpriced. I ordered a salad with the miso dressing, and it was very good. It came with chicken that had great flavor, and you can choose between white and dark meat. The dark meat was very juicy and flavorful. My only complaint is that in addition to relatively high prices, the do the whole "Let me flip the screen over to you so that you can put a tip in." You order from the counter, and they give you a number so that they can bring you food. I did leave a tip, but in hind sight, not really sure why as there was no service. The $14 that I paid for a salad, probably should have included wages for the chef who put it on a plate. There was not service that needed a tip. But alas, this is where society is going these days. Conclusion is that the food is good, the location is great, and it is quite crowded for lunch time. I will happily go back in the future to have another healthy meal that tastes great. read more
