I was on a work trip and found this place on yelp. When I came into the restaurant, I was greeted by staff. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. I ordered the Mediterranean salad with chicken. The salad had romaine lettuce, mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, Persian cucumber, pickled red onion, olives, garbanzo beans, feta with champagne vinaigrette. The salad was delicious and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The dressing is a great addition with the salad and the condiments came all together. Ambiance was very customer friendly and a lot of seating. Great place to eat. read more

Phew! I am so joyful to find this place. We ordered a boneless kebab plate, raw kale salad with chicken and passion fruit lemonade. This is the cutest little spot with the friendliest staff. I can't wait to come back and try a seasonal beverage. I've got my eye on a mocha or latte. read more

delicious! Ordered the grilled salmon and was not disappointed. The portion sizes were good and the fish was fresh. If you're in the area definitely give this place a try. The ambiance is very cozy and service is decent. read more

Sotta has a order at the front, take a number, and seat yourself system. There's plenty of tables that can accommodate small or even large groups. The interior has an open, rustic, modern design with tons of light coming through. Spanish Latte - Delicious! I'm not sure what exactly was in the latte but I appreciate how it wasn't overly sweet, even with the sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Although it didn't arrive has hot as I would have liked, it still tasted great! Falafel Wrap - Perfect balance between a light and filling meal! For an extra dollar, you can add a side. I chose the tzatziki sauce which comes with pita bread. The wrap definitely benefited from the tzatziki. It might have been too dry otherwise. Staff was very friendly! We ordered and got our food in a timely manner. There's also a small parking lot out back that fits about 10 cars. We got there on the earlier side and were able to snag a spot! I had a great experience and was able to try out some super yummy food! I'll definitely be coming back! read more

The food was delicious, and the staff were kind and welcoming. A great experience overall!

Reliably good food. I alternate between the salmon or lamb grilled dinner with 2 sides. My husband always goes for the chicken with sides. It's great to be able to choose from a variety of side dish choices. I prefer the tabouli or green salad, and either lovely lentil or tomato soup. My husband thinks it's the best tomato soup there is. The rice is always yummy. The only things disappointing here, believe it or not (despite always looking amazing) are the dessert baked goods. Look like "10's" but taste like a 5 or less. Not worth the $ or the calories. But if you're celebrating something, go ahead. Staff is always nice here. read more

SOTTA is a gorgeous if somewhat overpriced Mediterranean food restaurant and probably would seem provide greater value if it wasn't for the copious amounts of restaurants serving similar food around the same area for less money. That being said, the presentation, quality, and service in the restaurant is excellent and, due to its proximity to Walt Disney Studios, is a popular choice for employees there for lunch. Another advantage SOTTA has that it has a pretty large coffee drink menu. We got the lentil soup, chicken gyro wrap, and although it was the wrong order, a very delicious chicken shawarma kabob. The lentil soup was very comforting and both proteins in the wrap and the kabob plate were tender and grilled just right. I'm also a fan of the tightly wrapped dolma alongside my neatly wrapped wrap - I'll always give brownie points for wrapped foods that don't fall apart easily. We also ordered the mint matcha to share and I think this item could've been a bit better as it didn't taste very minty or have that more bitter matcha taste. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at SOTTA as it does provide a pretty relaxing atmosphere with its good food! read more

Went this morning-- the day after New Years. The lady at the counter was cold/ unfriendly and never smiled. In spite of her being not very hospitable-- I left her a tip. She looked at the screen and never said thank you. There were ZERO patrons in the place as it was early-- her unwelcoming attitude unfortunately is all I remember about the restaurant. It was the beginning of her shift-- not the end of an eight hour one-- and she couldn't have been less unpleasant. Management needs to TRAIN their front line workers to say " Good Morning and Thank you ". Complete FAIL in customer service. read more

Ambience was nice for family and friends meet-ups, they had modern chic design. The food was delicious and what was more important was that it was clean food and gluten-free options were plentiful. We loved the sides and appetizers. I got the baba ganoush and roasted pepper hummus with the chicken shawarma, I highly recommend it! We would definitely come back when in the area. read more

I brought my friend here for her birthday. We sat down for 40 minutes waiting for the food to come. While I overheard the host tell the customer who just came in their food would be here in 15 minutes. I went up to the register to ask the server if our food was almost ready and he said "yeah, you guys have been her for awhile let me check". The same employee comes back to our table and tells us that their system was down and that our order was never placed. This was 11/27/2024. I thought I was over exaggerating so this was never written back in 2024. I am here again 3/ 15/2026, sad to say that a similar thing happened to me again. Over a year later and I am here patiently waiting for my food as I'm watching them bring out other people's food that came in after me. My order was placed 15:57. Thank god, I got up after 30mins to ask what was the status of my food. Their girl who appears to be shift lead saw me standing at the front and asked a guy who was here for a pick up how she could help him. She then walked away and left me standing at the desk. Thankfully, this younger gentleman (Coal) noticed me and asked how he could help. I told him I wanted to check the status of my food. He then went to the register and said he didn't see my order. It wasn't til this point that the blonde girl decided she was going to help me. She refunded my food, but how do you replace someone's time. I hope this place can fix whatever issue this or or is it plain racism as some workers pick and chose what customers deserve their attention. read more

I came here with my brother. The food was good, it wasn't great but it was not bad but I have had better before. Their desserts are impeccable though. A great selection. read more

Good Mediterranean food, but I was disappointed with the price of the dish I got and the portion size of the meat (which was my favorite part). I got Kobideh, and there was way more rice, salad, and pita bread (the overall sides) than the meat. I wish the meat took up a higher percentage of the plate. I was still overall full. This is an interesting place where you order first and grab a number; it has this look with bright lights where it seems it would be a restaurant to be served more. There's plenty of parking in the back lot or side street. Overall, had an okay experience here. read more

As a middle easterner, this place has authentic middle eastern food. The dark meat chicken plate is where it's at. The hummus that accompanies the plates has a great consistency and flavor. The rice and veggies compliment the dish well. And the staff is so welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to visiting again read more

I've given this place about 4 tries! Lunch - pre-Covid: 4 STARS So busy. Hard to get a table but the service was fast! Door Dash: 5 STARS took about an hour but everything was still warm and the order was correct. Lunch - post Covid : 5 STARS unlike pre Covid it was much more calm. Plenty of tables but somewhat still busy but not chaotic. Here's what I've tried BBQ chicken Salad: 4 STARS Fully loaded salad. Will definitely leave you full. Great amount of chicken. The dressing is not too heavy but still full of flavor. Endive salad with Filet: 5 STARS my favorite salad. Adding the filet is a game changer. Sweet potato fries: 5 STARS Usually not a sweet potato fry type but these were just as good as their regular fatty fries Regular fries: 5 STARS these are so addicting because they are so good. You have to give them a try. Tomato soup: 3 STARS I could do with out this one. I know it's tomato soup but it was just too tomato-eee not creamy enough read more

Sotta - Endive salad with filet! - Mediterranean Near Me - Burbank, California

In Burbank, nestled between the usual suburban fare, lies a hidden gem that promises a culinary voyage worth taking. Sotta, a Mediterranean haven, is not just a restaurant--it's an experience that transcends the commonplace. We walked in and immediately knew we made a great decision. From the vast coffee selection to the tantalizing fresh baked bars, pies, and treats, your first inclination is to enjoy a sweet treat and cup of espresso. Fortunately, there is a wonderful dining menu that delivers on taste and size. We ordered various plates including chicken kebab, lamb, and a salmon salad. The meats were tender and the sides were perfect accompaniments. The Shirazi salad was refreshing and paired well with the creamy yogurt with cucumbers and basmati rice. The salmon was seared perfectly and the Caesar dressing was light and balanced out the salad. Our orders took a few minutes to be ready, but considering we ordered the lamb, a short wait was to be expected. Just before we left we peeked back over at the desserts and decided on a delicious apricot bar. It was a perfect way to end a wonderful lunch. read more

Did I order wrong? I don't know but everyone seems to like this place but my chicken shawarma wrap with shirazi salad was a solid "ehhhhh". The chicken in my wrap was incredibly poor quality - so many fatty, rubbery chunks. The salad tasted good but also underwhelming in complexity and portion size for $2. The inside is really cute so the ambiance is nice but with the plethora of great reviews, I was expecting a lot better from the food. Zankou is loads better and that's super disappointing at Sotta's price point. read more

Solid go to spot for a quick lunch or dinner. Staff is always friendly. Pricing is fair. Overall great spot!

Excellent Persian Mediterranean food. We got the chicken kabobs and pita chicken wrap. The appetizers were delicious and the sweet potato fries were a large portion for the add on. Definitely get the apps with the entrees. Friendly staff! read more

Super fresh and Delicious. They even have cocktails! The food not only looks colorful but it's also mad flavorful. I couldn't help but clean my plate. Anyway, you order at the front and then they bring your order out to your table. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We decided to try the plates and went with two sides each. The ground sirloin and chicken breast were both packed with flavor and super juicy. The dressing for the side salad was citrusy and great on its own. The pitas were served warm and went great with the hummus, eggplant dip, and their very own garlic sauce. This place was really tasty and although slightly pricey, worth it. Try the passion fruit margarita!!!! read more

A classy hipster restaurant with lots of seating options (parking is a small lot but there is accessible street parking nearby). Ordered food to go and it took awhile but they were pretty busy. Tried their house lemonade and it was nothing special honestly. A little too sour too, I was disappointed. I got their chicken shawarma wrap and it was pretty good. The food was decent but nothing unique or super tasty. Maybe I need to order more. Prices were high but maybe it's normal in that area. The wrap I got was about $17 and it was on the small side (they do cut it in half). Everything (except the ambiance and decor) was pretty average so that is why I rated it kinda low. I also dislike inconvenient parking. The one who took my order was helpful and they offer water near the entrance. read more

Overpriced. They enjoy being very close to the Disney Studios lot and want to rake in the dough. I'm surprised the prices aren't even more inflated going by that logic. They also have a misleading/predatory menu format - many of their plates "include" a side, but every selectable side is an extra $2, so they don't really "include" anything, but rather "surprise" you with something like a $21 kabob plate that will actually always be $23. read more

Local spot we frequently get lunch from. It's usually fairly quick but can depend on the day/time. Close to home. Usually ok but part of todays pick up order was off. The chicken plate was ok. If you are charging $12 for endive salad, please make sure the ingredients are ok, apples and few leaves of endive for the top of the salad are presentable and fresh. I am attaching pictures for the kitchen to see...not fresh...and the tiramisu was stale...couldn't eat it. Overall, basic hunger fix, yes. Looking for excellency and consistency, maybe look elsewhere? Too bad this area of Burbank is short on Mediterranean spot options. read more

Absolutely FLOORED!! Everything was excellent, from the ambiance, to the staff, to the excellent food.....as soon as I tasted the garlic sauce that came with my chicken kebabs I knew I was done for. I truly have never tasted garlic sauce that heavenly. It was creamy, garlicky, with a hint of lemon...absolutely perfect!!! The chicken was cooked perfectly, very soft and juicy and flavored perfectly. Probably some of the best kebabs I've ever had. My boyfriend ordered the lamb kebabs and I've honestly never seen him rave about anything that much. Everything was excellent! We also came back Sunday morning to get coffee another time - I highly recommend the shaken mint matcha latte. read more

I grew up in the area so I know what a good Middle Eastern food tastes like. I happened to be in Burbank for a day trip and we decided to try Sotta as it was on our way to our destination. Coming from a place with extreme weather and patio seating pretty much doesn't exist throughout the year, we took the outdoor seating and realized how much I missed about Socal weather. We ordered the most generic dishes but we were very satisfied with our orders. Both chicken and Koobideh were well cooked and marinated to our liking, but what surprised us even more were the side orders. Baba ganoush was possibly one of the best I've ever tried and both the Shiraz salad and Tzazitki were delicious. We wanted to try some of the desserts but we were too full at the end. Next time we'll be here for some coffee and dessert. read more

Holy smokes, best chicken kabobs ever!! Service was mid, but I still gave 5 stars. Beautiful design. 10/10!!!

Stopped in for a coffee and dessert after dinner with friends. Now I'm not a coffee snob. 7-11 coffee works for me.. but HELLO SOTTA, you've got me rethinking the whole coffee game! Smooth, not acidic, made to perfection with a smile. And the top it off with a yummy white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Holy scmholy! (Zero calorie, sugar free.. right?! Lol) The place was clean and welcoming. Parking is a little tight in back and sparse in front but if there's a will there's a way. Restroom was clean and stocked. Sanitizer at register and door. Staff was incredibly friendly and fun. I really like this place. Gonna have to come back for lunch next time around. read more

I walked in and was greeted by a friendly hostess as l requested a menu for food to go. I ordered chicken shish kabob with veggies and rice and decided instead of tomato soup which I enjoyed before to try their pasta salad which was unique and very good! They have a vast selection of desserts. I tried a lemon bar and it definitely came up short. The meal came out in a timely manner and was fresh and most enjoyable! Sotta was a fun experience. The inside and decor is beautiful and very classy! The food wasn't anything mind-blowing, but it was still yummy overall. There's lots of indoor seating and some outdoor seating m, so you have lots of options when eating in-person. They did take a while for our order and also forgot two parts to 2 different orders which was a bit disappointing. We had to check-in on our status a couple times, and they were able to help remedy quickly but still frustrating. I ordered the chicken shwarma! It was good, but nothing special in my opinion. The sauteed mushrooms were also pretty solid, but tasted a bit too salty for my liking. read more

Good service, food was ok. I got the chicken kabob plate, which comes with rice and fries. Although the fries were really good, rice was a little bit stale and crispy, while the chicken lacked seasoning. Small portions too, wish they were more generous with it! There's a small outdoor patio for those who wish to sit outside. read more

First off, people should know it's a pretty busy restaurant. But the ambience and food are fantastic. They work very hard to give good customer service, but you need to be a little bit patient because of the number of patrons. I would definitely recommend this place. The side orders were fresh and delicious. My boyfriend had the chicken Gyro and I had the chicken dark meat plate. Both were prepared well and differently. I'm not a big believer in ordering chicken, but this place has excellent chicken dishes. Both are chicken plates had excellent flavor and were very moist. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends that live in that area. read more

Not only was the food spectacular, but the service was truly a master class! Helen assisted me with a takeout order for a dulce de leche cheesecake. I needed to travel far in the car and was afraid it would go bad. She carefully boxed the dessert with ice bags in a container and I was baffled by that innovative idea--simple yet so kind. I found SOTTA while searching for some Mediterranean food! Me and my family came in on a Saturday evening and it wasn't too busy. Parking is either behind the building or on the main street. The interior of the restaurant was very pretty and modern. The place has a very laid back and casual vibe. They had a huge coffee bar in the middle of the place and craft beers/wines all around. Some of the servers were a bit unresponsive, but I'm sure it's because it was towards the end of the day; the actual owner seemed very nice. You order up at the front and they will give you a number to bring the food to the table. Water and condiments are at a self serve station. The plates/pita wraps come with either 1 side or 2 sides (for an extra dollar) and they had a variety of Mediterranean sides to choose from! The plates also come with some rice, salad, pita bread, and garlic sauce. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate and got the hummus and Greek salad. I am a fiend for hummus and I definitely got my cravings satisfied. The Greek salad had a decent amount of feta cheese which is awesome. Everything on the plate was a HIT. The chicken with white sauce, hummus/pita bread, and the garlic sauce were standouts. I'm glad the chicken was cooked to perfection since I cannot stand dry chicken! The garlic sauce was perfect with some pita and some of the chicken. Our table also got some fries and they were SO crispy. I felt that I got my money's worth for the amount of food I got! I would have loved to have tried their coffees, but it was too late to be drinking caffeine! They had so many specialties and it would be a perfect place for lunch! read more

Food: we ordered the beef koubideh, dark meat chicken kabobs with a side of hummus, taziki, eggplant, and Greek salad. The dark meat kabobs were very tender and moist perfectly cooked and the koubideh had a nice char smokey flavor to it. Food was really good so we decided to order some coffee a Spanish latte and pastry a New York cheesecake. Was perfect and not too sweet. Service: you order at the front and they bring you out the food which I honestly prefer. Also nice tip options are 10% 13% 15%. Sotta is a staple in our "quick bite" rotation. I've ventured out a couple of times ordering different salads, plates, and wraps, but seem to only be satisfied when I order the Mediterranean Salad or BBQ Salad. The wrap unfortunately was dry, but I'm sure it would be better if you asked for extra dressing inside. Sometimes the meat is dry and sometimes it's not. Thankfully the food is never bad-- just needs a little improvement. The cool atmosphere, seating options, and fast take out makes it too convenient to pass up. If you go, definitely order the fries because those are AMAZING! The service needs work. The employees are never rude, but also never attentive. Multiple times they forgot to bring us our drink when we dined in, didn't come back with condiments we requested, etc. read more
