Delicious amazing beautiful restaurant. One of my favorite restaurants in Boston. Highly recommend great food. High prices

Sorellina is the kind of place that makes you want to suddenly speak softer and order expensive wine you absolutely cannot pronounce. Everything about it feels very polished, dim lighting, insanely chic crowd, dramatic interiors, and that classic Boston "finance dinner but make it sexy" energy. Definitely a place where everyone somehow looks expensive. The lobster gnocchi seems to be the dish people become emotionally attached to, and after seeing it mentioned approximately everywhere, I get it. Also hearing very strong arguments for the truffle mafaldine, veal Milanese, Wagyu meatballs, and literally anything involving their pasta program. The ricotta donuts and tiramisu also seem fully mandatory. What I like about Sorellina is that it doesn't try too hard to be trendy. It's just confidently elegant. Very "old money meets modern Italian restaurant" in the best way. This feels less like a quick dinner spot and more like the kind of place where you accidentally order another cocktail and stay two extra hours. Boston date night final boss energy.

This was a phenomenal dining experience. I was in town for a work event and did dinner with a friend while there. The service was great. The server made recommendations and was extremely attentive. The food was fantastic. I hate I didn't get pictures of my salad. The atmosphere was also amazing. I would definitely return.

Wow wow wow. Beautiful restaurant that makes a date night feel like a special occasion. Our reservation for 2 on Saturday night sat us at the corner seat of the bar which we loved. Service was exquisite, fast and friendly. To start, we ordered the tuna and the kitchen even split it into two personal portions for each of us! Tuna was delicious and fresh, with heavy wasabi flavor. For entrees, the salmon was perfectly cooked with a small mixture of veggies. The saltimbocca was phenomenal - veal was melt in your mouth with mashed potatoes that had so much flavor. Love this place, highly recommend if you're looking a special fancy night out.

Dim lighting, white tablecloths and lovely china made for a beautiful setting, only dampened by the loud music that didn't fit the romantic vibe. The house made sourdough round was amazing. I could have eaten just that. But we also plowed through an entire order of truffle fries before a yummy, very garlicky Caesar salad. Unfortunately the salmon was rare instead of medium well as ordered. Having to send back one meal while the other person eats always dampens the dining experience. The salmon was served with a delicious eggplant dish. The other fish we had was served with a humongous dish of kale which was a bit strong tasting. The dishes were sufficiently spread out time wise. Overall a nice experience.

Visited the first night while in Boston and could not have been more pleased with Sorellina. Upon entering the establishment, the decor is modern and striking. Low lighting and peaceful atmosphere. The service was good. The warm bread with salted butter melts in your mouth. The pasta made with bone marrow was very rich and filling. Large portions. Highly recommend for a special evening.

Wow, I loved this place. Our server was outstanding. We (again) decided our brains were too fried to order. Even though they did not have a tasting menu our server put together a wonderful array of dishes and total tab was very reasonable given the amount of food, ambience, and quality of food. We had a total of 8 dishes and total came out under $300. We started with the tuna which was nicely seasoned with a kick, then went on to Al dente handmade pasta with zucchini (?) - very very good, I didn't want the meatball dish so our server subbed it was a truffle pasta with mushrooms - WOW loved this one! Sauce was rich and mushrooms were perfect topped with truffle oil, eggplant rollatini was a great addition, and halibut was cooked perfectly with sweet summer corn. Our favorite was the dessert, limone was not too tart or too sweet, the bombolini was incredible - Highly recommended. Great value, beautiful restaurant, and wonderful service!

we sat at the bar last minute, kaitlyn was our bartender/server and was great. we started with bread and eggplant rolatini. i loved the eggplant rollatini. we ordered their maccheroncelli and cavatelli to split because we couldn't decide, and both preferred the cavatelli. bread 9/10 eggplant rollatini 9/10 maccheroncelli 8.5/10 cavatelli 10/10 came here again and thomas was our server through the majority of our meal, then maryann took over, they were both extremely hospitable and had perfect timing. i tried their petal pusher drink which was outside of my typical order and it was so delicious, i ordered 2 more! we started with bread, oysters, and lobster gnocchi. the lobster gnocchi was absolutely divine, perfect taste and texture. we ordered the ribeye, scallops, and mushrooms for a main course. ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection, look at pictures for reference. i loved the scallops, they were big and beautifully plated. mushrooms were good, asparagus was great, and for dessert, we ordered the gelato (chocolate, coffee, and pistachio). they surprised me with a chocolate happy birthday plating with candle. they made this dinner incredibly special and i highly recommend everything i ordered. raw oysters 9/10 lobster gnocchi 10/10 ribeye 10/10 scallops 10/10 mushrooms 8.5/10 gelato 10/10 petal pusher 10/10 whether you're looking for a special date night, intimate solo date, or a dining with a group, sorellina would be a perfect destination with their attention to detail, exemplary service, and everything is delicious. ambiance: 5/5 food: 5/5 drinks: 5/5 service: 5/5 sorellina: 5/5

Veal Saltimbocca

Fabulous food, amazing staff paid attention to every detail, great table with beautiful bow window. We had a variety of salads, the buffalo mozzarella appetizer. Primo we had the meatball dish and the ravioli dish. Dinner plates were scallops and veal saltimbocca. Desserts were chocolate raspberry mousse and the chocolate lava cake with salted caramel gelato.

I really enjoyed our dinner at Sorellina. The restaurant's entrance was hidden by some trees, so my friend and I wandered around awhile until we found it. The waitress was very helpful in making some recommendations. We were surprised at how much we liked the sourdough round. We ordered the white asparagus, tuna tartare, gnocchi, polpo, branzino, and scallops. My favorites were the tuna tartare, gnocchi, and scallops. The polpo was also very good. They also recognized that we were sharing our dishes and therefore thoughtfully provided serving utensils for each dish.

We had a great dinner at Sorellina! The restaurant has as great atmosphere - dimmed lighting, nice table settings, and not too loud. Our waitress was also spectacular. Attentive, informative, and super nice! For food - we tried the tuna appetizer first. It was amazing except for the Dijon spread at the bottom. I did not care for that part. We also tried the lobster gnocchi, and the filet mignon. The filet was amazing - highly recommend. The lobster was fun to try but I can't say I would recommend as your only dish. It has way too much butter in it so it's rich after a few bites. We split the gnocchi and filet between 2 of us and that worked better. The desserts were awesome too - we tried the tiramisu, chocolate cake and the donuts. We also tried the espresso martinis (it was a big night lol). The donuts and the martini were the winners but everything was very good! The pricing is high - as expected, given the caliber of the restaurant. Some of the portion sizes were smaller than I was expecting but overall the bill was in line with other high end steak houses. We will be back to try it again!

Family dinner for six the weekend after Thanksgiving. The menu is varied ranging from seafood to salads to house made pasta to traditional plated entrees. The tuna tartare was amazing. Large, fresh with a bit of a kick. It was served with homemade crackers. Wow. I had two half portions of pasta as my entree. Loved that the pasta was house made and the sauces were non traditional. Truffle sauce, red wine based sauce- both delicious. Server was one of the best we have had in years. Dining room was active but not loud. Nice lighting.

We had impeccable service. I think we had a waiter assigned just to our table because there were eight of us. After he gave us all menus. He went through the entire menu. I don't know how he remembered it all. They kept our glasses full so someone was always watching the table. I started with six oysters followed by a veal chop. The oysters had cucumber mignonette on them rather than cocktail sauce. The veal chop was nice and tender, medium rare just like I like it. We had kale and mushrooms as sides. We really did not need them with the size of the portions. There were high ceiling, curtains to keep down the noise. Perfect for conversation. The parking is non-existent. I took an Uber so I'm would not have to deal with a car.

I was quickly greeted and informed that they were cash-only dining. But fret not, for just inside the doorway is a perfectly placed ATM. It took only a few seconds for me to pinpoint the exact item on the menu that my stomach was craving and my eyes fixed upon...Antipasto for an appetiser and chicken Marsala for the entree. The antipasto dish arrived very quickly and was a beautiful layout. Of course I desired to save some room for the entree but ended up eating about 3/4 of the appetiser before it arrived. The chicken marsala was absolutely perfect, still steaming on the plate as she placed it before me. I told myself I would only eat half the dish and take the rest back to my hotel for snacking later. However, my taste buds are not allow me to stop feasting on this Italian delicacy. If you're ever in the area, don't worry about the other Italian restaurants in the downtown, although I am sure that they are well and good, but Giacomo's is well worth your consideration. My only regret is that I only have one more night here to try another one of their delectable dishes.

Wait wasn't too long on a Friday night…read more I enjoyed the texture of the fusilli and it certainly was a hearty bowl of pasta. Beyond that though, nothing remarkable. Portion size was decent although prices are not cheap (just entree alone will be minimum $30). They specialize in seafood so the only protein options that weren't seafood were chicken or veal. There weren't too many apps that caught my eye, particularly lacking veggies. Service is on the ruder side. They automatically add 20% tip to your bill.

The sprouts had too much balsamic reduction on it which was cloying, and the garlic aioli didn't have a distinctive taste. The shrimp was cooked perfectly but the seasoning was on the bland side and too little sauce. It did have a nice brightness on the lemon and butter. A very popular, long-established Greek restaurant in Boston. Last time I walked in and was told…read morethere would be a two-hour wait, but this time I made a reservation and finally got to enjoy a delicious meal! Tiropita Rolls: Very straightforwardly delicious. The bread was warm, soft, and airy, with a rich aroma of butter and cheese; the spread was a rich blend of honey butter, and olives, sweet and delicious, perfect as an appetizer. Tzatziki: A slight disappointment. The cucumber and Greek yogurt spread was surprisingly heavy, a bit cloying, and the pickled kumquats weren't as sweet as I expected, but rather had a slightly bitter taste. The pita bread was thick and soft, probably better suited for dipping in soup--like Bourdeto--than for the spread. Bourdeto: The tomato fish soup was a pleasant surprise. The freshly caught grouper of the day was thick and tender, lightly seared to create a crispy crust. The broth was a vibrant, tangy tomato base, with onions, fennels, and red peppers contributing a sweet, layered flavor. Trahanas, fermented wheat and dairy, added richness and a smooth texture to the soup. The broth also had a slight spiciness, making it incredibly comforting on a chilly autumn day. Portokalopita: The dessert that elevated the entire meal. A traditional Greek orange phyllo, the cake, made from crumbs of phyllo pastry, becomes incredibly soft and moist after being soaked in orange syrup. Every bite was bursting with rich orange sweetness and fragrance, followed by a slightly bitter orange zest--perfectly balanced. Paired with Manouri cheese ice cream, the creamy flavor was incredibly rich and creamy, creating a harmonious and layered flavor profile.

We chose to sit outside; it was a chilly fall evening when we went last year, but we got some lap blankets which was a nice touch, so brownie points for service. My friend and I split the pastitsio (meat pasta dish), kotopoulo (a chicken dish), louza charcuterie, and tiropita (halloumi rolls). The rolls were stuffed with halloumi and were dense in the best way possible. Coupled with the louza charcuterie, the appetizers were a hit. The two entrees were small but mighty - they were packed with rich meats but also featured microgreens, herbs, and other tangy, bold flavors that really balanced the dishes. We got some glasses of Greek orange wine that I can't remember the name of but it paired excellently with the food per our waitress's recommendation. Overall, a solid Greek option if you're in Back Bay! But definitely make a reservation if you can.

Since it was summertime, we were able to sit outside in the courtyard out back. I had been to SRV before and had no idea this space was even there. There was one dish that simply wasn't doing it for us, but we didn't complain or ask for anything different. Then something happened that really stood out. The chef came out herself and mentioned that she noticed we barely touched that particular dish. She asked if she could send us something else instead. Sure enough, she did. The curated menu includes cicchetti, or individual bites, along with first courses, pasta, fish, and other proteins. Despite the variety, I found it surprisingly difficult to find something appealing. We shared the zucchini, served over radicchio with ricotta and chipotle. It was heavier than expected, and the combination of flavors felt muddled rather than cohesive. For our main course, we both ordered the hake, served with fennel, onion, and pine nuts. As with the zucchini, the presentation felt somewhat awkward and unrefined, and the individual flavors did not come through as distinctly as we had hoped. The highlights were the friendly service and the Spring in a Bottle nonalcoholic sparkling rosé. Overall, however, we were underwhelmed and would not return.
