Press the red button to order and have to wait 10 mins to make your order.... I just left

Receipt for poorly executed bad order

So I place my order through the app at 8:14. Order in check in spot and checked in as soon I I ordered At 8:28 the order showed completed. At 8:42 I still had. It received order while in the same spot. I called the location phone number and inquired about my order. Someone informed me my order was delayed due to the pretzel bacon burger taking so long. By the time w received our food at 8:50, my frito chili burrito was hot from the warmer but Fritos had essentially dissolved. My corn dog was wet cold and mushy from sitting in its bag waiting for the pretzel burger. The chili cheese tots were ice cold. The pretzel burger was hot but inedible from how sloppy it was. I couldn't hold on to it for all the grease cheese and 47 gallons of mustard all over the bun. The diet dr. Pepper was great. We were so disgusted by the time we got our food and got on the road, we stopped at Taco Bell next door and three our $30 order away except for the Diet Dr. Pepper. The car hop was adorable other than that -10 out of 10.

As Vicky L and I journeyed North in search of a castle in Louisiana, we realized that snacks were a great idea and so we were on the lookout for a drive through that was acceptable to both of us. We spotted the Sonic sign AFTER we pulled off the highway (it's not so visible from Hwy 25). We were planning on hitting up another fast food chain...I can't remember which one. The service was quick and our server was courteous, but not on rollerskates (which I always like). And my strawberry limeade was well made. Really that's all I need.

    Food!

Always my place to go to grab a quick snack and drink while driving around town! Don't forget to get that easy to use app too.

    Empty Oreo blast

The service was meh, but the boba was served with small straws and the blasts had about 1/4 of them missing in the form of a big air pocket... and with almost no Oreos at all. Major disappointment. Also, two tiny napkins for five large drinks and two salty snacks.

Fast service, good food, very reasonable prices, all make it a a great alternative to certain other food chains.

A Must-Visit Restaurant in New Orleans - Thank You, Damon Sam!…read moreMy husband and I took our very first trip to New Orleans over the July 3rd weekend, and despite a very rough start with our travels, this restaurant completely turned our evening around. Our original JetBlue flight was scheduled to arrive at 3:00 PM, but after multiple delays, a last-minute cancellation, and being rebooked, we didn't arrive until 10:00 PM. We checked into the DoubleTree Hotel exhausted and starving. The hotel concierge recommended Blue Bayou Restaurant, just a short walk away, and we're so glad they did! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was incredible. A talented young gentleman was performing live throughout the restaurant, singing classic hits from the 1990s. He had guests dancing, singing along, and even serenading some of the ladies. It was such fun, welcoming vibe and exactly what we needed after spending nearly an entire day at the airport. The wait was only about 15 minutes for our party of two, and then we had the pleasure of being served by Mr. Damon Sam. Damon greeted us with a warm smile, introduced himself, asked where we were visiting from, and genuinely took the time to get to know us. His hospitality made us feel like valued guests instead of just another table. He recommended an Abita Amber Draft, which was perfect after our long day. Since it was already close to 11:00 PM, we wanted something flavorful but not too heavy. Damon recommended Creole Jambalaya Rice and the Louisiana Crab Cakes. Every bite was absolutely delicious! The flavors were authentic, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Just when we thought the meal couldn't get any better, Damon encouraged us to try the famous New Orleans Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce. Oh...my...goodness! Without a doubt, this was the best bread pudding I have ever tasted. It was incredibly moist, rich, full of flavor, and literally melted in your mouth. It was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. I want to give a huge shout-out to Mr. Damon Sam. Your kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made our first night in New Orleans unforgettable. After such an exhausting travel day, you made us feel welcomed, appreciated, and right at home. The food was outstanding, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was unforgettable. If you're visiting New Orleans, Blue Bayou Restaurant is an absolute must-try! Thank you again, Damon! You truly ROCK! Maria & Tony Fort Lauderdale, Florida

I mean he's asking other tables around us if they're okay, if they need refills, etc., but when it came to our table nothing. Idk if it was because we asked the hostess if we could moved over from a dark table, but that's when it started. It was still his section so I really dk what the problem was. I'm going to assume it was an off day for him, but regardless this was the most horrible service I've ever had here! I mean I asked for a refill, he acknowledges me ( I had to ask, bc he only asked the table that was leaving if they'd like something before they left, meanwhile I'm drinking the last corner of my cup.. HELLOOOO) and he proceeds to go around and clean tables and ask how others are doing? Wtf. Never brought my drink! I had to get an hostess to get me a refill who was spring next up our table. I literally babysat the drink because I knew he wasn't going to ask if I'd like another. Might as well put a drink station on the floor and do away with the servers if that's how they gone be. I don't want to assume it is what I think it is -ism, considering the environment in South Mississippi right now, but that's EXACTLY how it seemed. I was actually mad I didn't have my coin purse to leave spare change tip, I was even gone leave $2. But ultimately said, it would go better towards my gas tank. And no I didn't tell management, I didn't see anyone who looked to care or who would do anything about it. I've only ever experienced the buffet, I don't gamble and have never been up to the hotel portion.

Let me tell you something. We just finished a swamp tour in the Louisiana bayou -- gators, cypress…read moretrees, Spanish moss, the whole magnificent thing -- and we were hungry, a little wild-eyed, and in desperate need of a meal worthy of the morning we just had. Restaurant des Familles delivered in every single way. We ordered the crab cakes, the turtle soup, and the étouffée, and I am not being dramatic when I say all three were absolutely out of this world. The crab cakes were perfect -- crispy outside, sweet and fresh inside, no filler, no shortcuts. The turtle soup was rich and deeply seasoned in that only-in-Louisiana way that makes you close your eyes on the first spoonful. And the étouffée? Silky, buttery, loaded with flavor. Every single dish tasted like someone's grandmother made it with love and a lifetime of knowing exactly what she was doing. But beyond the food -- this place is just beautiful. Tucked right into the bayou, quiet and unhurried, with that warm Louisiana hospitality that makes you feel like a welcome guest rather than a table to turn. We walked in as road-tripping strangers and left feeling like we'd found one of the best kept secrets in the whole state. If you are anywhere near Barataria, whether you just came off a swamp tour or you made the drive specifically for this -- stop here. You will not regret a single bite. Restaurant des Familles is the real deal.
