A good alternative to Bonchon for Stone Ridge residents. This is the same as Chi Mc so you can't really go wrong with the Korean double fried chicken option. Their other dish, yookgaejang is good and spicy. The ddukbokki was somewhat lacking in portions so I wouldn't get that again. I give it solid 4 for the location and the food. We're in the mood for some bibimbap, thank goodness there's Somac only 20 minutes away. The setting is very casual. We couldn't sit at the booth since it's only 2 of us which was unfortunate but I understand. I got the tofu stew with seafood and my husband got the dolsot bibimbap. Both food were delicious and fresh. The hot stone bowl kept the food hot, might be even too hot and it took a while to cool down. If you're starving maybe don't order food served in the stone bowl. My stew came with generous portion of rice and side dishes. The side dishes also tasted fresh and delicious. Service was good. It's located in a plaza so there were plenty of parking spots. Came here today since we heard a Korean restaurant is finally in the area. We were hoping it was authentic and it was! The food was delicious (check some of my photos). The staff was friendly as well. Plenty of seating inside the restaurant. We got the udon noodle soup for my son and the soup was so flavorful. My wife got the bibimbap and every looked so fresh in it. I got the yakisoba noodles with bulgogi and I ate it with the free side orders of kimchi. Everything was flavorful and fresh tasting. Not lots of grease. Felt like I was eating a home cooked meal. I'm not Korean but I saw a lot of Korean folks enjoying the food as well. Hopefully this place continues to do well. Have visited here a couple times. I love the Korean style spicy ramen with pork. It's the perfect amount of spice and the noodles + pork taste amazing. I've also tried the fried chicken boneless wings in spicy and sweet. Those took a while to arrive at the table but they were also very big pieces and tasted great and comparable to Bonchon. The only reason this place didn't get a 5 star rating was because we ordered our meal online, drove from Woodbridge and our meal still wasn't ready. The Bulgogi bibimbap was pretty good, fairly large, good amount of vegetables, fair amount of bulgogi. The Gungjung Tteokbokki however was way overpriced for what you get. Way too much ricecake and not enough everything else. Taste was ok, but in the end it just was essentially all ricecake. As for the bulgogi dukboki, it was way too sweet. The spicy sausage+ricecake skewers... I imagined they would be glazed with sauce and then grilled to make it kinda stinky chewy .. But they came out cold and it tasted like they boiled the rice cakes and just added them to the skewer without being grilled together with the sauce. Def not what I expected as well. The dumplings + rice ball combo ... the dumplings came out fried. Taste wasn't bad but there wasn't anything special about them either. Just ordinary fried dumpling. The rice balls, I imagined there be some kind of topping inside ... but it was literally a ball of rice and seaweed flakes on the outside and barely any seasoning. The Tonkatsu ...... I won't be able to say anything about this item. Although we ordered it ....... it never came out ... so we had to leave without trying it. If I do come back .... hopefully next time I will try to order their soup dishes as people seem to like them on yelp. But a soup place with only two banchans (side dishes) ... hmm BUT I know things are usually crazy when businesses just open ... so will give them some time to settle in and then will try again sometime later :) read more

Ordered the donkatsu lunch box and my partner ordered the spicy beef soup with potato. The side dishes were standard; Kim chee, cucumber kim chee, spicy cabbage, and fish cake. All were very underwhelming lacking flavor and just average or below. My lunch box was very unappetizing; served on a metal tray. I felt I was eating in a cafeteria or detention center. The donkatsu was dry and flavorless. The breading was overly fried which contributed to the dryness. The vegetable tempura was soggy and bland. The fried mando had zero taste. Even the dipping sauce was terrible; brown thick gooey paste which did nothing but drown the food with a gross paste. The spicy beef soup was just awful. It was spicy and that was the only thing good to write about. The beef was tough and tasted old. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Service was average but overall non existent. Ambiance was blah!!! WOW! This is the very best Korean Food we've had in this country! The service and offering were generous and considerate of the details. We have 3 children and all 3 LOVED their food, even our 5-year-old. He, also gave this 5 stars, which is normally not an easy task, as he can be picky. But in short: - food runs horrible to average at best depending on what you order (ramen being one of the worst things I've ever tasted) - Menu needs work - Wait for food is painful (seems like they have one person in the kitchen making one thing at a time) - Decor is not inviting at all with awkward empty spaces - Last but not least, PRICING - common mistake by small business operators in Loudoun County; they do not know how to price their items right. By no means I advocate lower price with no reason. But when you sell a plate of ddukboki with about 14 pieces of rice cake for $15, you scream your judgment is way off. Order was ready in exactly 40mins as promised. Taste and crispiness was AMAZING. The reason for 4* is that something about this particular order put me to sleep,As in made me drowsy literally within 30mins of eating 4-5 wings. I was out cold for a solid 2 hrs before waking up. My bowl came with two small slices of pork, canned corn, a half a boiled egg, a few leaves of spinach and a handful of noodles.
