Solid Construction remodeled my two bathrooms last year. The team did a beautiful job from start to finish, kept everything organized, and made the entire process easy and comfortable. I also felt very confident knowing that the plumbing, water connections, and work behind the walls were completed properly and professionally. I would definitely recommend their work. My biggest advice when choosing a Sentrel shower wall is to wait for a sample before making your final decision, especially if the color isn't available to see in the showroom. In our case, the Master shower floor and walls were supposed to be the same color, but once installed, the walls looked noticeably different and had more of a gray/green undertone. We absolutely love the workmanship and truly appreciate all the hard work that went into completing our bathroom. The only thing we're struggling with is the wall color. If replacing the walls is even an option, we would love the opportunity to discuss it, although we honestly feel hesitant asking because we know how much work went into the installation. Ok so we're on the home stretch of the remodel. Cabinets looking great, countertops looking great. But the painting of the inside and outside of the house NOT great to say the least. Giving them a chance to fix it. They have since fixed the paint but I would say painting is somewhere they could improve on. Ok updating 9/5/25 we are finished with our about 8 mnth remodel from design to finish and moved in It was a big job. We are very happy we chose Solid they have been very good from start to finish. In construction there's always a hiccup or two the important thing is that you have a contract who stands behind there work and Solid does just that!Everything looks amazing and we're loving it. We had experienced a water leak that caused significant water damage to a few rooms. After the mitigation company was done with their work, we needed a contractor that would be able to fix the damage and not cost us an arm and a leg. I looked over a few contractors on Yelp and had them come out to give us bids for the work and after evaluating the bids, we decided to go with Solid Construction and Design. They were really competitive on their pricing and being a family owned company, assured me they will take care of my house like their own. Let me start of by saying, their customer service is top tier. Scheduling an estimator to come out was simple and all it took was a phone call to their office and they showed up the same day. The estimator was empathetic to our situation and assured us the work will be complete swiftly and with minimal interference to our daily life. We had ALOT of questions and they made sure that all of our questions were answered and provided guidance and feedback on all of our requests. We agreed on a schedule and had a crew come out in a few days. They were punctual and professional. While they were working at the house, we went to the company showroom to choose flooring and other materials needed for the rebuild. The showroom is spacious, has a lot of different options for flooring, tile and cabinets. What they don't have in the showroom, they were able to show online in a catalog. Great selection for every design taste. They also have designers in house who will guide you and show you so many different options for your project. The work was complete on time and on budget. The attention to detail and guidance through this project made us feel at ease knowing they care and this is not just another project but rather they were putting pieces to the puzzle to make the house whole again. Our townhouse was build in 1973 and had really old and dated kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen cabinets were dark wood look Formica and the countertops were Formica. Serviceable, but with many defects. We wanted an inexpensive remodel of our kitchen and bathroom vanities and sinks. The Solid team really delivered! First, Rob Rathbun the designer was really perceptive about how to handle upgrading the small space we had for a kitchen. The cabinets he chose were not what we had imagined, but were better than we had imagined. The implementation team was fantastic. Alex was a great project manager. We contracted Solid to renovate our kitchen and construct a built-in bookcase in our living room. Without getting into details, the project was a mess, with poor communication, broken promises, a significant amount of re-doing work, and a timeline that ballooned to double the original 8 week estimate. I hadn't planned on writing a negative review, but here I am a year later having to pay an electrician to diagnose and fix not one, but two of the built in LED lights Solid installed due to improper wiring and connectors. July of 2024 I had Solid Construction do a full gut and remodel of my master bath. The entire experience was excellent from the sales coordinator Mike, to the crew manager Misha to one of the main craftsmen Serge. The work was meticulous, and they went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the end product. I had designed the new footprint and was able to pick out all of my fixtures. They have a large showroom with a vast selection of cabinets, flooring and tile. When I did not find my "perfect" shower tile in what they had on hand, I was able to find what I wanted myself and it did not change the price quoted. Although Solid Construction contracted out to have the custom vanity built, they make sure the companies they partner with are of the same high caliber. Let me say that I am in the design business ( owner of Jen Rogers Designs) and know the " ins and outs" and what to look for in a contractor and construction- remodeling company. When it came remodeling my master bath, I came across Solid and called Oleg, the owner, one day. He was very welcoming on the phone and invited me into their showroom in Sacramento. Their showroom offers finishes, cabinetry, slabs, etc. I was very impressed and they are also family owned, which I support local businesses. Since I am in the bizz, I had my design aesthetics of what finishes I wanted and elements chosen. I had picked out my wall tile, tub, plumbery, etc,. I knew what I wanted, yet, Solid designed the vanity, sink, and handled the construction from A to Z. They are a "one stop shop". This is IMPORTANT people. The carpenters, plumbers, tile layers, etc, are all in house. Many companies are not in house. This is not advantageous to you, the client. You want all in house. Solid has a PM( Project Manager), per project. Ours was Vitaly, "Taly" and he is remarkable. As a client, you do not have to worry about various subs coming into your house to finish the next step in the project, it is always a Solid team member. With any job, there are hiccups that arise. It is the nature of construction. Solid was and has been remarkable and our master bath is beautiful. Visited in person got a business card to contact the designer. Left a message and was never contacted. Called them 2-weeks later, was told to call the same name and number as on the business card. I again called the number, left a message and still have not had a return call. It has probably been 3-weeks at this point. After waiting about week after the last message I left, I decided to go in another direction. I got a call from the company asking about not connecting. Seems the designer said they contacted me, but I have no voicemails/missed calls in my phone about it. I guess we will chalk this up to technological issues. We are incredibly pleased with our kitchen remodeling by Solid Construction & Design!! They remodeled our kitchen, painted our dining room and living room, and renovated our fireplace. The project took about 5 weeks and we are very pleased and delighted with the final results. We got to work with Oleg (the owner) who inspected our kitchen, gave us design ideas, and got us a detailed estimate based on our selection. We made a trip to their convenient showroom to make the material selections and JCruz was very friendly and helped us with that. Vitaly was our project manager and also did a great job coordinating the installation team. The scope of work included a full kitchen remodel (our kitchen is fairly large) - so the existing kitchen was completely demoed and all appliances were disposed. We needed to get our kitchen remodeled as we were replacing a dishwasher and discovered it leaked damaging to the floor under it. So I looked on Yelp and found Solid Construction & Design. They did a great job on my kitchen, but one thing that I was disappointed about was I thought they would do with the remodel is paint my small kitchen. They did come back and readjusted a couple of cabinet doors and also fixed the hood vent as a piece wasn't added to the hood. Another thing is better communication with there clients as there were days that I had no idea if they were coming. So I couldn't go anywhere as I had stayed close to home, but other than that I love my new kitchen. Before and After pics below. I would of given them 5 if they would of communicated with me better. I had a lot of family and friends ask why they didn't paint with the remodel as most businesses do as a part of the remodel. They did do a great job though even though they didn't paint the kitchen. All they painted was the base boards. They were within our budget that's why we went with them in the first place we assumed with the remodel they would paint the kitchen. I would recommend them to family and friends, but hate having to say they didn't paint the kitchen in the remodel when u would think that is included in the bid. We interviewed several contractors prior to starting our WHOLEHOUSE remodel (3K sqft) in Cameron Park, CA (yes, it was a big project for all of us). Upon meeting Roman we were immediately comfortable with him, and really appreciated his design insight and how flexible he was with coming up with ideas for cost savings in some areas, in order to help us get the entire project completed within our budget. We considered hiring a 20K designer/project manager to design us a new kitchen, 3 bathrooms, livingroom/great room, and add a new schoolroom, but after meeting Roman we decided to do the design work ourselves (with Roman's and his crew's help) and put the funds toward the new kitchen :-) We were very involved, and there was much going on for the 4 months (we lived in our travel trailer and garage to stay out of their way, which was our choice), but the end result was SOOO worth it! We got to know the Solid Construction crew very well, and grew to appreciate what a friendly and great crew it is, and especially appreciated their skill/expertise. The windows and doors were installed perfectly (close to 50 total), the woodwork (kitchen and bath cabinets /stair rails) is beautiful, the bathrooms and kitchen tile are amazing, and the new paint in and out was done exactly how we wanted it! Not to mention the entire back wall of our house was removed and redone (to add a 16 X 9 slider and back patio) and along the way the crew alerted us to existing water leaks/dryrot that we were able to address. No project can go perfectly, that is not realistic, but when little challenges came up (sometimes due to us changing our minds!) Roman and Vitaliy (project manager) never got worked up, they stayed calm, and made a plan for how to get the job done. After months of delays due to the pandemic, appliance shortages, lost contractors and contractors just not showing up....We found Solid Construction based on reviews right here on Yelp and other sites. Roman came out and was so personable. He reviewed our plans and confidently stated he could complete our kitchen remodel within our budget and timeframe. We visited the showroom, chose our items and signed the contract. We were particularly impressed with the detailed bid and very thorough communication and prep even before the job started. We were still on the tail end of Pandemic supply constraints but we got started in late August and by mid-October we had our beautiful remodeled kitchen...and we stayed on budget too. This is almost unheard of for most jobs, but the bid was so detailed and thorough we all knew exactly where the money was going and if there was a change needed it was easy to quantify. As with any construction project, there were some delays, some miscommunications and even some frustrations...but this is all normal and the Solid team was always open to feedback, changes and responded to every request with complete professionalism. We had an amazing experience with Solid Construction & Design. We had multiple bids for our kitchen and bathroom remodel, and SCD was the only group that listened to our needs, saw the uniqueness of our home, and worked to satisfy what we needed within our budget. Oleg presented cost-saving suggestions (we did our own demolition, and we sub-contracted out for granite counters). From the beginning, Oleg was able to see the entirety of the project and was able to present us with a complete quote. He recognized the problems that our house was going to present so surprises were minimized. When there was a new problem with the structure of our house, a reasonable and cost efficient solution was offered. The timeline was organized well through Vitaly's supervision. There were teams for each stage of remodeling, and the scheduling was clean. The team of Alex and Alex did an incredible job of fixing the errors of original construction and continued through to the end of the project for finishing work. Stephan led the installation of the cabinets, and the flooring crew installed @1000 ft^2 in one day. Plumbing and electrical work were incredibly professional. From day one to the end, they maintained the timeline initially presented to us, and even when we found a correction we wanted after we completed payments, Vitaly ensured that work was done. Usually I will write good reviews and once in a while bad one if service or product had awful performance. In roman case I called him explained our adu build out. He told me he was busy for couple of weeks but will come over after that on Monday. I work from home so I did't have to take time off to meet him. This rocket scientist never showed at the agreed upon time or called. You be the judge If a contractor doesn't even show up to meet, what kind of work you will expect from him. read more

Pros: Loved the "a la carte" pricing does if we decided not to do something, we could know our new price. Main crew at their physical location- Awesome guys. Receptive to the constructive feedback and seemed to truly care about how to improve areas needing it. Great overall price and products for kitchen remodel and laminate flooring. Again, great main team and the man who installed the cabinets Cons: Communication- on many occasion the project manager would confirm details on what would be "finished tomorrow", yet we would come home to see nobody had been to the job site. This was a common occurrence. I was understanding that schedules and jobs get delayed, however the PM relaying that was the biggest shortcoming. With communication, several hiccups in the remodel could have been avoided if the workers asked our preference instead of completing on their assumption. This drew out the remodel longer than it should have taken... The project was completed to our expectation and the main guys made adjustments to make up for the minor hiccups. If I could give them no star, I would. I sent for a quote over their website for a bathroom remodel and was contacted soon after. We set an appointment date and the day before, they called and had to change the time and day of the appointment. Already disappointed, I was able to comply with the change. The person arrived for the appointment, I didn't even get a name or a card. He was there for less than 10 mins. Granted we knew what we wanted to do with our remodel. Took some pictures and told me I will get an estimate in about 1 week. Now almost 3 weeks later and 2 messages left for them. No word, no calls, NOTHING! If they didn't want the job, they should have just told me in the first place and not waste my time changing the appointment and not giving me an estimate. And we were living 3 hours away which made a bit more challenging. They were great to work with and did impressive work with craftsman skills.
