Cabinet doors and finish panels were mis-measured resulting in significant gaps between edge of cabinet doors and cabinet base components, several pieces damaged in manufacturing and install, several sections installed without either vertical or horizontal alignment, and each section of crown moulding finish pieces included visibly obvious differentials in wood sizing. Company refused to resolve issues after having promised to do so. Company refused to reduce charges although we have to hire new cabinet company to replace significant portions of their work. read more

We paid a premium price for top-of-the-line custom cabinets, but the execution was far from premium. After receiving payment, Ken was incredibly difficult to work with. The doors, slides, paint, and overall installation quality did not match the premium price tag. Furthermore, the island design deviated from the agreed-upon drawings. Instead of rebuilding it correctly, they patched it with a panel, leaving a highly visible seam, a fix that even their own installer expressed embarrassment over. Paying in advance cost us all of our leverage. I highly advise looking elsewhere for a full custom cabinet buildout. read more

They used MDF on front of cabinet. That product is not recommended for heat or dampness. The new doors had mdf and wood and it was not sealed resulting in damage. I had all their work removed and replaced without mdf on front and new doors with mdf and wood sealed. read more

Lisa I have no doubt there is water damage. My house is small at 1200 sq ft and my kitchen is small. Where there is a kitchen there is a sink and water. The conclusion of all the contractors that have looked at it, is that your company did a very poor job. Either you didn't use a quality primer paint or both. How would you feel if all the paint was peeling off after you spent $8,000. I would never do business with you nor will I ever recommend you for any type of work. I am contacting the BBB to see what they have to say. I think the fact that I was older, in my 70's and knew nothing about my renovation you took advantage of me. I was in a walking cast as I had broken my leg a week before and in middle of the hot heat of summer and it didn't matter to you. I had to come down and pick out everything right away sink, paint color, facuet etc. and oh do you remember how everyone loved the pulls I picked out that I got from a catalog and before you know it, half of then went missing. We recently purchased a 21 year old house that was in need of updating. Cabinet Doctors updated all the cabinets throughout the house making all new cabinet doors (60+) and also making all new drawers (over a dozen). We went with soft-close on all the doors and drawers and we're really glad we did. (I should add that the new drawers Cabinet Doctors made are of much better quality than the original drawers that came with the house!) They also coordinated the replacement of the kitchen counter tops (a lovely mottled white quartz with a few darker veins), the island sink (we went with a gorgeous dark granite composite) and many feet of back splash done in a slightly wavy subway with grout that matched the cabinet color. All of the cabinets throughout the house were made the same color (Willow Creek), but for additional interest in the kitchen, we went with black hardware. We used brushed nickel hardware throughout the rest of the house. The job was significant and it took several weeks to complete, but boy, was it worth the wait! Their work is meticulous and neat. The crews and subs are all very skilled/talented and a pleasure to work with. (We were especially impressed with the countertop and backsplash sub-contractors!) This work was done during the summer of 2021 and I was waiting to post my review until all of the appliances came in, so that the pictures of the job would look "finished." However, many months later we still don't have our wall ovens, but I don't want to hold the review up any longer. We are SO pleased with the work Cabinet Doctors did and I would use them again in a heartbeat. They do really awesome work! read more

In May 2021, my existing kitchen cabinets were refaced by The Cabinet Doctors. They look fantastic and it feels like a brand new kitchen! The process was painless, other than the overdue chore of emptying out every kitchen cabinet and purging or donating a lot of unneeded items. The women in the shop were knowledgeable and easy to work with. My husband was not comfortable about remodeling our kitchen until we learned that Cabinet Doctors does full kitchen and bathroom remodels. (They did some cabinet work for our previous house and my husband was very impressed with the quality of their work and their professionalism.) We visited them in their showroom and explained that this time, we wanted to do a full kitchen remodel. Lisa and Michelle helped us choose cabinet styles, drawer and cabinet pulls, and quartz countertops. Kent and Kent Jr. came to our house to do amazingly careful measurements, producing detailed hand-drawings with great precision while helping us understand what would work in which spaces, and what might need a different approach. Chris was on-site throughout the remodel, directly performing much of the work and assuring that work performed by subcontractors met Cabinet Doctors' high standards. Their incredible knowledge and expertise gave us great comfort. The Governor's "stay-at-home" order happened right after our kitchen was demolished and the cabinets had been mostly installed - but at the time, we did not yet have countertops, a sink, cooktop, oven, dishwasher, or refrigerator. We were very concerned that we might need to quarantine indefinitely at home without a kitchen. Fortunately, construction contractors are deemed "essential" so Cabinet Doctors and their subcontractors were able to continue working and give us a working kitchen within a phenomenal 2-1/2 weeks. Not only that: our appliance supplier did shut down entirely the day after the Governor's order and was only able to deliver our appliances to the garage. The appliances were too large and heavy for my husband and me to deal with so Cabinet Doctors helped bring in the refrigerator and set it up. They then helped to engage an electrician, and helped him install the oven. (Our plumber was scheduled to install the remaining items.) Cabinet Doctors is a family-owned business. During our kitchen remodel, we were able to experience the whole Nagel family: Lisa, Kent, Kent Jr., and Chris. They were outstanding - not just because they do very high quality work, but also because they are caring human beings who assured us that they had no intention of leaving us without the things we needed. So not only are they incredibly competent, responsive, and excellent craftspeople - they went "above and beyond" to help us when our appliance contractor was unable to do the installations. We had our cabinets resurfaced by The Cabinet Doctors, Inc. My initial meeting with Kent was pleasant. He's very personable and I felt comfortable at the onset of our meeting. I explained our project and he didn't have any problem coordinating with a neighboring company (Kerrock) who were installing new counter tops, and to make it happen at the same time. And it did! Their crew was no nonsense. They came in, got the job done and left no trace. The price was reasonable and the craftmanship was quality (we had a couple of new cabinets reconfigured to fit a new refrigerator and farmhouse sink, along with replacing a set of cabinets with huge drawers that I love, love, love!) My only quip is about the paint. It's way more delicate than our old Melamine cabinets. It scars from contact with metal objects (silverware), which can be rubbed/scrubbed out with some elbow grease and Mr. Clean, but most of all, I wasn't prepared for how easily it scratches and needs to be touched up (they leave you with a small container of touch up paint), and I'm not the best at blending in a touch up to a smooth surface. I'm afraid that in a few years, the touch ups will be very noticeable. The paint is also not completely uniform. You can see where the spray did not penetrate seamlessly in the edges and corners. I'm sure it's not noticeable to anyone other than me, but it's still a minor disappointment. I might've picked a different color had I known (we went with Glory Gray or something like that). That said, it's looks way better than the Melamine finish and I have no regrets! When it comes to cabinets, give The Cabinet Doctors, Inc. an opportunity to earn your business. Not living in the home, I heavily relied on Kent to match the knotty pine feel to the cabin and just go with his instincts. Can't really speak on their work but if you want to see quality go to their show room and see 1/4" gaps in their joints, after I saw that and pointed it out they told me that they would use bondo yes bondo to fill the voids... I was concerned about this and using them but I though I'll give them a chance on a bid. well I would like to say that it was too much money but the guy came to the gate of my neighborhood and left within 2 minutes. He never called my direct contact number which they had, so I called their shop not even 5 minutes after and they said he was off to another bid. I thought that was kinda unbelievable and I was right cause the shop called me back 1/2hr later and she told me he was sitting right there and wanted to reschedule. simple mistake can easily be fixed with an apology but when lies come out that's immediate red flag. read more
