Highly recommended! Very nice cabinetry! Very professional and fast! I was amazed at how fast they could build beautiful custom cabinets! A lot of them! I have a large kitchen! Steve was patient and receptive to my changes and inquiries through the whole process! My cabinets are beautiful and the price was reasonable! Steve also helped me update my fireplace with shelving flanked on both sides and wood trim! Don't go anywhere else! I mistakenly thought they would cost more and take longer! I recommend West Pacific Cabinets for all your cabinet needs!

    Terrible Pain Job

I've waited three years to write this review. First of all we were given a verbal quote for our cabinets as being made of WOOD. They arrived as particle board. With much negotiation and a rude receptionist we at least got the drawers changed to all wood. We were in dire need of the cabinets by that point so we just bit the bullet and had them installed. Our cabinets are white so we went with the painter they used, Color Custom Creation. I've uploaded pictures of the wear that three years has taken on the paint job. We live in a retirement community so it's probably obvious that there are only two of us that live in this house. This morning, the final straw. The little storage area in front of the sink fell off. Plus I have had to fill in cracks over the past three years where the trim has separated from the cabinets. No paint was left for us to "touch up" the terrible paint job. I had white painted cabinets built by Plaza Cabinetry, for 15 years in my previous residence, 8 kids and two adults lived there and I NEVER had issues like this. Anyway, nice people but I dread to think what these cabinets will look like in the next few years. No doubt we will have to have them repainted if we every sell. Take a look at the photos I posted.

After reading…read moreMarty's bio, I was thoroughly impressed with his skills and found a Yelp link to reviews on Quality Craftsman (QC). After reading all of the 5 star reviews on QC, I requested more information through Yelp. Marty contacted me within a couple of hours and we discussed my project. I recently moved into a brand new home and I wanted a custom wall unit for my office. The wall unit consisted of shelves, cabinets, and a desk. I wanted the wall unit to be integrated into the wall and appear as one piece. I looked at other companies (garage or closet organizers) and their product offerings all appeared to be modular. After Marty looked at my office, he sketched out the wall unit after taking multiple measurements then produced a quote. The price was reasonable so we negotiated a contract and I made a down payment. We agreed to an end of January delivery and installation date. Marty delivered the wall unit well ahead of schedule on January 8. He did the installation with his helper Nic who was very polite and professional. The installation appeared to go without a hitch which is what I expected from a craftsman with close to 60 years of experience. I highly recommend Quality Craftsman for anyone seeking high quality wood work products such as cabinets, desks, or furniture. I have attached a picture of the wall unit that I now have to decorate. Please note the tight tolerances that Marty and Nic were able to maintain during the installation process. Outstanding work by Quality Craftsman!!!

I love my kitchen and I've also approached him about a future project. I had a basic 1970's era condo kitchen-outdated but can't really change the footprint. I tried to revive it with refacing. It still didn't function well, but I worked around it. A leak in the wall behind the cabinets, forced an unexpected remodel. I received estimates from several contractors using stock or RTA "IKEA" kitchen cabinets. The cabinets I saw in these stores did not seem as sturdy as my existing cabinets. I couldn't customize and would have similar unusable spaces where the pre-made cabinets are put together. The contractors and pre-made cabinet stores told me custom cabinets would cost twice as much as their estimates. While looking for design ideas, I saw multiple Houzz and Reddit posts stating a local carpenter could give me custom cabinets at a much better price. I am so glad I paid attention to the posts! That's how I found Sacramento Millworks. His price for my project was comparable to the quotes I received for stock cabinets. Raymond is a carpenter and a designer. Because of his experience, he handled everything. He walked me through everything, including a trip to the granite and tile shops. I just picked colors. He was very patient. Most of contractors I've worked with recently send employees to do the work. They just pop in here and there until it's time for payment. Raymond was on site working with one helper everyday. I really appreciated that!

They took care of me immediately, even though my home was being built when I called them for a quote. I met with Stacey at the model home (courtesy of Beazer Homes!) about 2 months prior to closing on my brand new home. She listened to all my needs and created a 3D rendering of my fabulous closets on the spot! I took a few days to sleep on it; we made a few adjustments via emails, and I got my amazing closets installed in 1 day, merely 2 days after I received the keys to my new house! Stacey has been fabulous throughout the entire process. She was very responsive and respectful of my questions and wishes. Honestly, ask for Stacey! She is the main reason I went with Closet Gallery for my closets. She will work with your budget and won't rush you if you need time to think about it. They sent a crew of 4 guys to install my 3 walk-in closets and they were at my house from 7:25 am until 2 pm. Super nice and respectful. I loved everything about the experience and I highly recommend Closet Gallery for your next project! You won't find anything better in the area. I tried another company that has a showroom but they were very condescending and never emailed me the design after they said they would. 10 stars for this business!!

It's hard to know where to begin because the experience with KM is so different from that experienced with typical contractors. Communication. Typically a major frustration with contractors was in fact excellent with KM. Emails and calls were returned in a timely manner and they go to great lengths to explain the process and provide a detailed timeline. Duration of work. We had gotten estimates of 4-6 months to complete our remodel; KM was finished in a little over a month. They stuck to their schedule (despite problems that arose with suppliers) and always communicated any changes that were required. They handled all of the permitting requirements, and in Davis that is not a small task. Notable is that a KM staffer came to the house the day of final inspection and looked at the whole house for potential problems. He replaced ALL of our smoke detectors at no cost just to make sure there were no problems with the inspection. The Davis inspector was very impressed with the work and passed the job without any concerns. Quality of work. We had superb craftsmen work on our project; John and Zachary and Joe were all just excellent. They took pride in their work, showed up on time, and always communicated what they were doing. They took great pains to minimize dust and overall mess. Huge sheets of plastic were placed floor to ceiling to localize the dust and debris. Sheets of protective material were placed on the floor. Everything was done in a professional manner. The supervisor of our project, Edgar, was remarkable in watching over the project and being there whenever needed. Sourcing of materials. KM can provide pretty much everything you need with regards to cabinets, fixtures and some appliances. The quality of all materials from KM was excellent and so much more convenient than searching it out on your own. I have to add, however, that their recommended appliance source, A-1 appliance, was very disappointing. A-1 failed to order our rangetop despite it being paid for well in advance, and their installers were incompetent and rude. Our project foreman, Edgar, intervened and was a lifesaver in getting a rangetop in time to prevent a major delay, and in fixing the poor installation provided by A-1. Cost. We had many estimates for our remodel and KM was far from the highest. Their estimate was very accurate and very reasonable considering the quality of work, convenience, and the speed with which the work was done. In summary, Kitchen Mart stands way way above the pack when it comes to the often tedious and stressful process of remodeling your home. They offer a one stop solution, do superb work at a reasonable price, and complete the work in a very timely fashion. We plan to have them do our bathrooms and in fact would not consider anyone else.

John provided a bid with a complete breakdown of project tasks and included materials which left no questions on our end. He provided info on where to get our bath products, tile and countertops and said it would take about 2 weeks to complete. ("yeah...right" I thought to myself). It took 2 weeks and a day (including shower glass installation)! From day one, they would show up at 8 am sharp, wait for the entire crew to arrive before knocking, and work straight through till 5pm. They were clean, courteous and meticulous in their workmanship. John would let me know what would occur over the next couple of days which was great as I was able to have things ready for the crew to power through and get it done. John even came back out to the house to re-install a mirror (we opted for a larger mirror) after the project was completed. By far the most pleasant construction experience to date and I highly recommend their services.
