When we moved into our house, some portions of the kitchen were updated, but we did not feel like we had enough storage space or enough space to do prep for cooking. I was very skeptical of the 'refacing process' for cabinet restoration, and was getting more so with each succeeding company that I booted out of my kitchen in disgust. The materials were poor and the craftsmanship wasn't. Finally, Deron Johnson, the representative for the last company, J V Cabinet Makers knocked on my door, and proceed to tell me what his company was going to do. After I let him in, he made some very sound suggestions to opening up the room by removing a whole bank of cabinets. He then said that his company was going to wrap the existing cabinet bodies with a tough, formica-like product that would not crack, peel, or otherwise deteriorate like the products offered by their competitors. I looked at the samples, and thought: 'sure, why not?' So I signed the contract knowing that if I wasn't satisfied, they would have to make it right. Flash forward to June 16, install day, all day. The crew worked tirelessly. At days' end, the kitchen was finished. I honestly didn't think a refaced cabinet kitchen would look this great; I mean Sunset Magazine great. The friendly and courteous install crew was amazing and performed effortlessly. They are not the least expensive company, but without a doubt the most value-oriented company in this field. J V Cabinet quality sets them apart from all the others. You will not be disappointed! read more

After providing a written estimate for cabinet work which included the heavily advertised $1,000.00 discount, JV Cabinets notified us a couple weeks later that the $1,000.00 discount was rescinded by an unnamed party at JV for some unknown reason. Hints of bait and switch? Blatant customer disrespect and unprofessionalism? Definitely. Marv was personable but If you are looking for customer friendly, reliability and professionalism then avoid JV Cabinets. read more

It all started with their wonderful salesman Andy who was beyond patient with us, and always with a smile on his face. He really bent over backwards to earn our business. We had gotten multiple quotes for our kitchen and bathroom cabinet refacing project but JV Cabinets stood out to us on all levels -- quality of work, price, professionalism, customer service. After signing up, we met Jaime Sr. and Jaime Jr. and worked with them from that point forward (along with Jaime Jr.'s brother). What incredible guys and so friendly to work with! All three are amazing -- expert craftsman and could not have been nicer or more accommodating of our many (many) changes, project additions and questions along the way. On at least two or three occasions they went out of their way to swing by our house at a moment's notice to answer more questions, quote us on other ideas we came up with, or fix something we messed up. Of course, the kitchen and bathroom turned out beautiful and we are so happy with the final product. JV was great. Marv Anthony is extremely knowledgeable about cabinet and drawers. We had a small kitchen to redo but it didn't matter to him, he treated us like we were putting a huge one in. We had two other guys that didn't want to do the job because it wasn't a big job. From the quotes we did get JV was one of the best. When it can to installation day we found out a mistake happened and our new sink didn't come in. That is when we meet Jamie, pronounced Hymie. He is amazing. He told me not to worry about it, they will work around when the sink comes. He and his installers were the most professional and polite workers I had ever dealt with. They answered any questions wehad and they stop doing what they were doing to give you their full attention. When our sink did come in Jamie was there the next day at 8am to install it. This year we finally decided to get rid of the 90's light oak cabinets in the kitchen. Our kitchen isn't huge but has a lot of cabinets/drawers, including an island. The cabinet boxes were in good shape and we didn't want to change the layout of the kitchen so decided cabinet refacing would be the way to go and would fit the budget. The only other changes were we had two additional drawers and two additional doors added to the other side of the island so it could be better utilized and also handles added to all (finally!!) We got 3 bids on the refacing job and JV Cabinets was right in the middle. We weren't looking for the middle of the road company, we were looking for a product that we liked, would hold up for the long term and animals, easily maintained, and a company with great service from the very first meeting to the last day. Well needless to say but JV Cabinets met all these requirements!! Deron, Design Consultant, was very informative and helpful. He explained the product and how the installation would go. He was of great help in deciding the style, color, and handles so that the kitchen all flowed together. We were kept informed of the process and when our installation would be by Jaime. When installation time came, Anthony and his sons worked tirelessly for 3 days to make our kitchen look beautiful! The only hiccup was one door was the wrong size. The correct size was ordered immediately and received within 10 days. David came to our home on Saturday morning to install the remaining door. Our kitchen looks fantastic (now just get the new flooring)!! All employees we dealt with were very service oriented and very professional. You can't go wrong with JV Cabinets!!! read more

JV Cabinet Makers refreshed our kitchen by replacing cabinet doors, drawer boxes and glides, installed base pull-outs, new sink, and quartz counter and backsplash. The results are fabulous! Their quartz installer was an artist! Sales rep Deron was low-key and patient during my many changes and additions. Customer service, communication and follow-through by Jaime Jr. has been excellent! The whole crew was very friendly and professional. It's obvious they care about their work - a passion for cabinets, in a sense! The people at JV Cabinets are great and do quality work. From the sales person being so helpful and offering suggestions and working into the plan the modifications I wanted. To the workmen that were professional, put down flooring protection and strung plastic sheets to contain any dust that may have been created. When we decided to try updating our original cabinets I thought that we were going to have to do just a facelift of our kitchen and not get any of the modifications I wished for. Well boy was I wrong. We were able to have the cabinet extended to the ceiling, a deeper cabinet over the refrigerator, they turned 4 standard width drawers into 2 double with drawers and in that same cabinet they removed the lower doors and made 4 double width deep drawers. We have a blind cabinet next to the range and they install a double shelf pullout blind cabinet shelf unit. They were also able to remove all of the cabinet center styles, do there is no longer an obstruction to putting items into the cabinets. We also had the countertop replaced with granite. Our kitchen went from old outdated oak to a beautiful kitchen with all highlighted cherry doors and drawer fronts. The cabinet faces have been veneered with matching real wood. Also the cabinets are boxed in at the bottoms and a matching hardwood end panels install with a high quality trim. Crown molding at the top of the upper cabinets to the ceiling. They did an absolute beautiful job. Now for the best part. They were able to start the work at least a month before we were expecting them, they are busy and they have to order all of the cabinet pieces that have to be special made, which takes time. They started on Monday and by Saturday had completed all of the primary work and that included installing the countertops. The counter top looks great and where they had to place the seam it is almost invisible, you would have to look closely to find it. Because we had the backsplash go all the way up under the cabinets they could not measure them until the countertops were installed. They came back Tuesday to install the backsplash. That is really fast work. Countertops from most sources can take up to 2 months from measuring to installation. The kitchen is beautiful and we are still looking at in in awe.
