Spinach Feta Croissant
Emily K.

If you are willing to wait in line this is a solid spot for breakfast! I went on a Saturday and waited outside probably 15-20 minutes. The line moves decently fast. There are about 3 tables inside and 3 outside so better to take food and coffee to go imo. I was able to snag a table outside for a bit to enjoy my pastries! I had a spinach feta croissant and almond cake. The croissant was super flaky and buttery and the cake was moist and flavorful - really liked both! Would return here to try more pastries but likely on a weekday.

Good location for quick breakfast runs, they got coffee and morning drinks and lots of pastries, even quiche! I got myself some bread and it's very tasty. Parking is a bit tricky and limit so I recommend walking here. In a very vibrant area as well so you should stop by if you're around

Love love love the pastries at this place and everything is so well priced. You do have to wait in a line if you go during the weekend, but it's still worth it.

This is the spot for amazing coffee and pastries! Don't be deterred by a long line outside, they're staffed to the gills and move quickly. I was behind 10+ people outside, and couldn't even see inside the shop when I got in line. Less than 10 minutes later, I was outside with two hot beverages and two pastries baked right in their shop. Totally worth it and far better than quickly scooping up substandard facsimiles at a major chain nearby. So, enjoy, sit outside, live the European-style of casually sipping and letting time slip past with the leisure of someone who isn't in a terrible rush and has no interest in conversation with amazing coffee.

Came here during Porch Fest craving a good pastry and desperately needing a pick me up after brunch. The inside is very small with just 3 tables lining the wall for 2ppl each. We were serviced very fast considering the heavy foot traffic so that was a plus. I ordered a chocolate croissant and a caramel flavored coffee. The coffee was easily one of the best cups I've ever had but the croissant left much to be desired. The coffee was rich without being overly bitter or sweet but the croissant lacked the amount of chocolate I feel it needed to be considered a chocolate croissant. I've also been spoiled by ninos bakery so there's that :(. I'd definitely come back for a coffee if I was in the area.

i went in the afternoon, so i did not get to try the pastries. my latte wasn't bad by any means, it just wasn't anything special. i don't have much to say because nothing really stood out. service wasn't bad, just took a second because there was only one person working and there was a few more people in line. very small in there. i would go back to try the pastries

Ok SO Ive been here twice and it is DAMN GOOD! There is something to be said about a buttery and flakey croissant and they bake theirs well. So far Ive had the toffee bread pudding, yuca pao de quiejo, everything, dulce de leche pastries as well as the almond croissant- SO good. I also love that they have fresh OJ and really good coffee with homemade syrups available. This spot is small but filled with love. Looking forward to the weather breaking so I can enjoy sitting outside stuffing my face and people watching.

Drinks were pretty good, but not amazing. However, for the price point I can see why there are lines out the door. Downside is there is very little seating so this is definitely more a grab and go coffee shop.

Across the street from another popular coffee shop, Soleluna still had a line that went outdoors which definitely showcases as a strong coffee shop contender. There isn't much seating at all inside but there are a couple tables outside on a small patio of the restaurant. Everything here is made from scratch daily and looks extremely appetizing with a wide selection of pastries and huge stuffed croissants. Despite there being a line the service was really fast, I was able to try one of their croissants as well as their cookie butter latte which was really rich and you could taste the cookie butter from the beginning to the end holding its flavor the entire drink which is unusual for an iced drink as they tend to lose flavor.

Sweet little coffee shop down the street from Tryst & Lost City Books, local Ecuadorian shop with really good coffee and on the lower priced end compared to other shops in the area. Do yourself a favor and get a few Honey Butter Wheat Medialuna Croissants, you'll thank me later!

After checking its high ratings online, we decided to give it a try while we were in the neighborhood. We loved their coffee--well crafted, full-flavored, and delicious--and the iced matcha latte was tasty. Their pastries, like mini blueberry Danish, chocolate croissant, frosted cinnamon rolls, and double chocolate and Nutella croissant, all paired well with their coffee. The only thing we didn't like about the cafe was that it didn't have enough tables and seats, as it is pretty small with only two small tables inside. Although there is a patio in front, tables are limited.

This is a sweet little pastry and coffee shop right near the main intersection in ADMO. Blink and you could miss it, but don't miss it because the pastries are on point and they have all kinds of lovely coffee drinks as well. I would also highlight that the monkey bread is a very well priced pastry for this area and they have different flavors, including savory. Some of the savory croissants can also be a full lunch or breakfast and they also have personal quiches. There are only two small tables inside so plan accordingly during winter. There are outside tables as well.

I stopped by Soleluna this past weekend for a coffee and found it very charming. It's a small coffeeshop and bakery with some seating outdoors and just a high top and 2-4 chairs inside. I stopped by around 8:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning and walked right in. I ordered an iced americano and drooled over their favorite beautiful pastries (I don't even have much of a sweet tooth, but their pastries looked gorgeous). The service was fast and friendly, and my iced americano was great. I enjoyed my coffee on a walk to Meridian Hill Park. Around 11:00 a.m., I was in front of Soleluna again (just passing by) and noticed there was now quite a line. I imagine it moves quite fast (there's really nowhere to go inside which might make the line look a little longer than it really is). So, Soleluna is great, and it's no secret! If you stop by earlier in the morning, it won't take long at all to get a coffee and a treat, but you should expect a bit of a wait if you go later in the morning on a weekend. I'd happily return.

Asked for a flat white but received a cappuccino instead on Saturday. Hoping this was just a mistake but coffee was still good.

The restaurant is super cute, with a fun cafe vibe, and it's an easy walk from the waterfront. We ordered the Colada Trio, which came with empanadas, cauliflower sliders, and yuca fries. Everything was delicious, and it came with three different sauces that were honestly all so good. I could've eaten those sauces with everything. We also ordered the Platanachos (plantain nachos), which were flavorful and such a fun twist on traditional nachos. They accidentally forgot the cauliflower and mushroom topping, but as soon as I mentioned it, they brought it out right away along with extra sauce. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a place handles them, and they were incredibly accommodating, which I really appreciated. It was pretty busy when we visited, and I noticed who I believe was the manager or owner helping clean tables and checking on guests. I always love seeing that kind of hands-on involvement. Great food, friendly service, and an awesome location if you're exploring the Wharf. I'd definitely recommend stopping by!

The drink is sweeter than I expected, which makes sense because it's plantain, but it has actual plantain pieces in it. I'd rather it be a syrup instead of little plantain chunks when you sip the drink. It's okay, but I wouldn't get it again. I'd like to come back in the morning and actually get some of the fresh pastries, as opposed to later in the evening. If I hadn't just eaten somewhere else, I definitely would have tried the cuban.

A tasty sweet treat near City Center DC…read more I enjoy coming here when my sweet tooth is talking to me lol. I ordered a small cup of banana foster & dark chocolate and during the summer time my favorite is the thai coconut milk & vietnamese cinnamon because it has a sweet & savory taste to it (the best combo ever). I normally get a small cup because the portions are filling especially if you had lunch or dinner beforehand. They also sell pints of gelato, sorbetto, tea, coffee, & seasonal drinks as well. There's seating inside & outside. The store is fairly small, but you're still able to sit with a few friends. The service was quick & you're able to try out the flavors. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Typically there's a long line, but it moves very quickly.

Having to sit outside due to no available seating indoors made it worse. Gelato was tasty, nothing to get worked up for in my opinion, but maybe the fruity flavors are better! Being a frozen dessert connoisseur, I was a bit let down. Didn't finish due to the soup mess in my cup that was running all over the place & the spoon with 0 ladling power. Didn't feel like I was missing out by tossing the remnants. Come here to spend a pretty penny on some gelato!
