Love this coffee house!!! Was dropping my daughter off at Union Station and we had a little time to kill. We easily found street parking. The inside was cute and had a decent amount of seating. They also have a patio, but with today being the warmest of 2026 they were all taken. There was one customer ahead of us, but the wait was very short. I got a white mocha matcha. I was a little skeptical, but the barista co-signed and suggested getting it iced. Delicious! I also got a pastry. Bacon, egg and cheese on brioche. Also really tasty. This place is clearly a neighborhood staple as I heard staff greeting several customers by name. Definitely glad we stopped in. If ever in the area, I will certainly be back.

They use monin syrup which isn't bad, and you can bring your own cup for a .25 cent discount... very nice! Atmosphere inside is very nice with a fair amount of seating, but probably crowded on a week day. Coffee has a slight bitter taste almost and filled with coffee grounds which sucks... like the bottom of my iced coffee is filled with grounds and the top has them floating around... Coffee 5.3/10 Atmosphere 8.8/10

Store front on a rainy May Day!

Coffee is superb especially on a rainy wet May Day! The service is fast and friendly, but I wish they had more sitting. I walked here to get coffee and work on my laptop but every seat was taken but there was a lot of standing room. There is outdoor sitting but on a rainy day it didn't help. But on a hot humid day I wonder if people still sit outside.

Such a great coffee shop selling high quality coffee! We bought a bag of beans and was treated to a sample of the same beans brewed as a drip! Really nice to try what we were buying and the coffee was great! The spot is also very large and has nice seating inside and outside. Great spot, especially if you are on the way to the train, as it's only a few blocks from the station.

Very cute little shop. Coffee is great. They have a good selection. Service is fast and friendly. Not much seating but still worth a visit.

Went in for a Matcha, came out with a Hazelnut Latte! I'm not upset. Lol

Never really ate here before but the cafe service is solid. Quiet, corner cafe near Union Station! I've enjoyed their Matcha Latte with honey and lavender, iced or hot. Today, due to a minor hiccup, I enjoyed a beautifully made cafe latte with hazelnut. No regrets!

I checked out this coffee spot for the first time and it was pretty good! Service was good too! I will definitely go back to try more menu items.

Haven't been in a while as I felt it was a bit inconsistent in quality in the past but this time my drink was perfect probably because there were girlies behind the bar. A gripe is I wished the shop allowed me to order an iced cortato or flat white but instead I have to order as a latte with less milk, so it's an expensive drink, but I guess that's the norm here in DC. Either way I still recommend y'all Capitol Hill crowd to please skip Starbucks and support this local shop instead. I promise it'll be a much better drink.

I ordered a cappuccino for here and was given a to-go cup with no latte art. I asked for two syrups and was given one.

They were playing bossa and jazz. I opted for the Aren latte and Indonesian beef rissole. Aren latte: 5/5 Latte with an in-house made Aren (palm sugar from West Java) for that hint of molasses and dark brown sugar This was one of my favorite coffees I've had in a while. There was a delicious coffee taste not overshadowed but rather enhanced by the smoky sweet taste of the Aren. I'll be thinking about this latte for a while. Indonesian beef rissole: 3/5 Batter-like skin rolled in breadcrumbs filled with savory ground halal beef & sautéed vegetables While I've never had this dish before, I googled pictures of what it should look like, and mine seemed to have significantly less meat than it should've. The taste was still delicious and seasoned and hearty, but it was mostly mush with some veggies and hardly any beef. While I thought the rissole was disappointing, I love the aren latte so much I'll still keep the 5 star review.

All the pastry was delightfully flaky and appropriately filled. Pistachio croissant was dancing on the edge of being a bit too sweet but went very well with my latte. Totally inoffensive and wouldn't hesitate to get another espresso drink if we were grabbing pastries again. Nice quaint limited outdoor seating. We were lucky enough to snag some goodies and got a bit of everything, we just weren't patient enough to wait to photograph everything. We did the Za'atar Gruyère Croissant, chocolate croissant, the cheese biscuit item they had (don't remember exact name) and the sfogliatelle. I'm in search of the best croissant in DC, so I regret not getting the regular croissant on this visit, but the chocolate croissant gave me an idea of what to expect. Buttery, flaky, crispy, with just the perfect amount of sweetness. The typical chocolate croissant was my personal favorite. When we asked what the most popular items were, we were surprised it wasn't the more classic bakery items, but we enjoyed what we tried. We want to go back soon to try some other items as well. My friend got a coffee and also enjoyed that! This is the perfect place to stop by for a treat if you make it in time!

They have both indoor and outdoor seating, so it's a great spot whether you're meeting friends or getting some work done. The pastry case also looked incredible, I had such a hard time choosing, and I'll definitely be back to try more. I ordered a matcha, and I really appreciated that it wasn't pre-sweetened. It was creamy, earthy, and let the matcha shine. If you like your matcha a little sweeter, I'd recommend adding their in-house pistachio syrup. The only small downside was that it seemed like they use matcha concentrate that's prepared in advance rather than whisking each drink fresh. It was still good, but I do prefer freshly whisked matcha. Even with that, I'd absolutely come back. Their menu is extensive, everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious, and the whole space has such a welcoming vibe. Also, take a minute to read the story behind the name "Tatte." Most recently went as a party of 4 and got the crab beignets, beef arepa, masa gnocci, and parillada for two. Crab beignets were our favorite - perfectly crispy and great flavor. Parillada was a hearty entree and probably best for 2-3 people. This amount of food altogether was just nice. We probably could have ordered one more thing to be extra full. I don't typically get Latin American food but love all the flavors at this restaurant. Next time will try their breakfast menu!
