They use monin syrup which isn't bad, and you can bring your own cup for a .25 cent discount... very nice! Atmosphere inside is very nice with a fair amount of seating, but probably crowded on a week day. Coffee has a slight bitter taste almost and filled with coffee grounds which sucks... like the bottom of my iced coffee is filled with grounds and the top has them floating around... Store front on a rainy May Day!

Coffee is superb especially on a rainy wet May Day! The service is fast and friendly, but I wish they had more sitting. I walked here to get coffee and work on my laptop but every seat was taken but there was a lot of standing room. There is outdoor sitting but on a rainy day it didn't help. But on a hot humid day I wonder if people still sit outside.

Such a great coffee shop selling high quality coffee! We bought a bag of beans and was treated to a sample of the same beans brewed as a drip! Really nice to try what we were buying and the coffee was great! The spot is also very large and has nice seating inside and outside. Great spot, especially if you are on the way to the train, as it's only a few blocks from the station.

Very cute little shop. Coffee is great. They have a good selection. Service is fast and friendly. Not much seating but still worth a visit.

Went in for a Matcha, came out with a Hazelnut Latte! I'm not upset. Lol

Never really ate here before but the cafe service is solid. Quiet, corner cafe near Union Station! I've enjoyed their Matcha Latte with honey and lavender, iced or hot. Today, due to a minor hiccup, I enjoyed a beautifully made cafe latte with hazelnut. No regrets!

I checked out this coffee spot for the first time and it was pretty good! Service was good too! I will definitely go back to try more menu items.

Haven't been in a while as I felt it was a bit inconsistent in quality in the past but this time my drink was perfect probably because there were girlies behind the bar. A gripe is I wished the shop allowed me to order an iced cortato or flat white but instead I have to order as a latte with less milk, so it's an expensive drink, but I guess that's the norm here in DC. Either way I still recommend y'all Capitol Hill crowd to please skip Starbucks and support this local shop instead. I promise it'll be a much better drink.

I ordered a cappuccino for here and was given a to-go cup with no latte art. I asked for two syrups and was given one.

    Mushroom Goat Cheese Turnover

I stopped by for a quick breakfast, but I can see this place as a nice study spot if you can manage to find a seat. It's very busy and the seats were all occupied; there was a line both when I came in and when I left. I ordered the rosemary lavender lemonade, but I wouldn't order it again because the lemonade was so overpowering that I couldn't taste any of the rosemary or lavender. It was also very sweet, so I waited for my ice to melt before finishing it. I liked the flavor of the mushroom goat cheese turnover that I ordered; it was very umami. However, its texture wasn't as flaky as I had expected because they reheat food with a microwave instead of a toaster oven.

    Yum

I tend to like sugar (too much) but try to drink black sometimes to try to appreciate the actual coffee flavor and for health reasons. Nice way to hydrate in a fancy way. Art work doesn't typically grab me but this art work did. If I had money, time, and comfortable accessibility to purchase, I would. I am sure I could order online and have shipped but I like to avoid shipping costs if I can. The realism and detail grab me in a way I like. The DC tunnel views that continue to beautify DC's respectable metro system show you that Jimmy is truly a local DC artist. It is reminiscent for me of Juniper Lane's music album cover Tightrope. I didn't notice this until after the fact but apparently when you buy art directly from here you get 15% of your purchase for more coffee here too. Wow. Why the missing star? This is kinda picky but if I wasn't looking or a foreigner, I could've accidentally added hand sanitizer to my coffee and well that's a big no no. Granted the bottle is labeled but I am not a fan of this being in the same area as the coffee add-ons. I know spacing is tight and maybe someone moved this bottle in this area but I don't get that sense and just think it's not a good setup. If this place wanted to expand , I think finding good NYC locations would be optimal as well. I am unsure if Philly would be good or not as an additional location as a coffee culture crowd. Of course I would still come back. It was worth the 15 min walk from the convention center in this hot August weather.

This is a very small bakery but, there were many ppl in line so I figured it would be pretty good. We were lucky enough to snag some goodies and got a bit of everything, we just weren't patient enough to wait to photograph everything. We did the Za'atar Gruyère Croissant, chocolate croissant, the cheese biscuit item they had (don't remember exact name) and the sfogliatelle. I'm in search of the best croissant in DC, so I regret not getting the regular croissant on this visit, but the chocolate croissant gave me an idea of what to expect. Buttery, flaky, crispy, with just the perfect amount of sweetness. The typical chocolate croissant was my personal favorite. When we asked what the most popular items were, we were surprised it wasn't the more classic bakery items, but we enjoyed what we tried. We want to go back soon to try some other items as well. My friend got a coffee and also enjoyed that! This is the perfect place to stop by for a treat if you make it in time!

Most recently went as a party of 4 and got the crab beignets, beef arepa, masa gnocci, and parillada for two. Crab beignets were our favorite - perfectly crispy and great flavor. Parillada was a hearty entree and probably best for 2-3 people. This amount of food altogether was just nice. We probably could have ordered one more thing to be extra full.
