Chicken Tendies
Alli R.

Great service and quality food. The chicken tendies with mambo sauce are delicious and only $10. There is ample space to sit at the bar, inside tables, or outside. The only thing I didn't like is how loud the music is. If the service style is picking it up when they call your name and neither the server nor I can hear each other than the music needs to be turned down imo. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed sitting outside!

Excellent coffee, love the updated bigger location in La Cosecha! Of alllll the coffee shops in Union Market, Unido is my favorite. I especially love the orange flavoring.

I've been fortunate enough to try multiple Unido shops across the globe - including the OG location in Panama City (Panama, not Florida). I will say their drinks are certainly better than average compared to others in DC. Their matcha latte price is consistently lower than other DC cafe prices too - which I can always appreciate. Their servers are efficient when it comes to making their drinks, and they certainly don't try to make it fancy (in a good way). Note that this cafe is indoors (inside of La Cosecha), so it may be loud for those ordering when it's jammed packed. I would recommend folks to go here for a standard cafe experience

Orange coffee and vanilla bean latte

Honestly the orange coffee is definitely an acquired taste and would definitely recommend to try the vanilla bean latte. I honestly wouldn't go back for drinks around $8-$10 since the coffee isn't great.

Ninety Plus Geisha Pour Over

I'm sad that it took me almost four years of living in the DMV to try Unido Panama Coffee Roasters. It's one of the vendors inside of La Cosecha (a Latin American food hall in the Union Market area) which I've been to/walked by countless times. Let me tell you. Unido's pour overs and beans are legit, as the one I enjoyed yesterday is one of the best I've had -- not just in the DMV, but in general. It is on the pricy side, but it was phenomenal. The barista did a great job pouring and I truly enjoyed the coffee. They are currently offering two pour overs -- both Geishas, but one of the barista recommended the one that's brewed with their Ninety Plus Geisha beans (tasting notes: strawberry, cacao nibs, sweet granadilla), which is being sold at $55 for 115g. NINETY PLUS GEISHA POUR OVER - 12 I was hesitant spending this much on a pour over because I've had pretty mediocre ones for this amount. Geisha can also be a hit-or-miss. Upon receiving it on a wooden tray (the coffee in a Hario carafe that I could pour into a ceramic cup for drinking), I could smell the intense fruity, tea-like aroma, which is a Geisha classic. Wow. It was incredibly juicy and floral. When I sip it hot, I taste the sweetness of strawberries very strongly, but when I enjoy it more room temperature, the tropical tartness of passionfruit is more prominent. I enjoyed it more on the hotter side since it's a bit too acidic after 15 minutes of receiving it. But wow, this was fantastic. It was like drinking a fruity tea instead of coffee, and it smelled amazing. If you like pour overs and you're a bit of a snob, I highly recommend the Ninety Plus Geisha pour over if they have it. It's probably seasonal, but I would be back for other offerings they have in the future.

What a difference a location makes! I was so excited to order the breakfast wrap at the Union Market location after a superb first experience having it at the Stacks location. I was shocked by the significantly smaller size of the wrap. As someone who doesn't eat bacon but still paid $20 for this, I feel a bit robbed. Money is too tight these days to treat yourself to a much needed splurge, to not get your money's worth. To be fair, staff offered a refund but I don't like that type of food waste. The Black mocha is on point though!

I went mid-day Sunday so it wasn't super crowded. There is minimal sitting near the cafe but a ton in La Cosecha. Barista was fast, attentive, and nice! I really enjoyed my latte it was smooth and refreshing. Also, it actually tasted like coffee and not too milky. Next time, I would personally add an extra pump of vanilla bean for extra sweetness/flavor.

I had really high hopes for this Cuban coffee shop but I sadly left disappointed. We tried the orange latte, however the espresso taste was nearly non existent. The orange was there and good, but was missing a critical piece.

Can't roast(ers) this coffee shop! I stopped in for a quick coffee on a Saturday morning. I almost missed it because it's located in the food hall, but they have a cute little nook with some seats. I got the orange latte with oat milk and was pleasantly surprised by the robust but not overpowering flavor. I would definitely recommend trying some of their seasonal flavors as they are definitely a standout compared to other places in this area. I wasn't impressed by the pastries (the croissants looked a bit pale) so passed on those. Overall, would recommend popping in and trying it out!

Great find and the perfect coffee spot for the hard to please, indiscriminant coffee lovers out there in the DMV! I stumbled on this place while riding past the Union Market neighborhood the other day, badly in need of coffee. And, so glad I did. I was completely impressed with the coffee products sold here at Unido. Also, I'd argue this is probably the best place in DC for coffee, if you're into single-source and specialty coffee brews. As a first timer, I was greeted by a Barista named Louis. This guy really knew his coffee and explained the concept of the coffee products in the store. During this time, I learned that the source of the coffee products sold were from Panama in which to be frank, I had no clue that Panama even had a global coffee presence. So out of curiosity, I was interested in trying their coffee to compare my thoughts of what they had to offer to other DC coffee 'Likes' around the city such as Sidamo, Blue Bottle Coffee, Kaldi's, Compass Coffee, La Colombe, Starbucks, and even Dunkin'! Yeah, I know....doesn't take much to outperform the latter....lol. At any rate, this place won me over. I was blown away by the flavor and taste of Unido and their Panamanian coffee. In the store, I tried a Geisha Pourover. The attention to detail, the presentation of the coffee, the ceramic cup all added to a great cup of coffee and ultimately my coffee pleasure. And the coffee itself, was delicious and perfectly brewed with a flavor profile that was nutty and chocolate. I like my coffee black and this one was perfect. I also tried an Iced Americano, at the recommendation of the Barista "to-go." The iced coffee was so rich, smooth, and full of an earthy --lite caramel flavor; which speaks to the care and quality of the beans that goes into making a cup. He added a shot of Ghirardelli dark chocolate that took this cup to the next level. In all, a great find. The vibe and atmosphere is chill and relaxing. Louis, the staff member there was knowledgeable and friendly, offering great suggestions for drinks to try. If you haven't been, I would recommend Unido....it's certainly worth a stop when in the Union Market neighborhood!

Vanilla Latte
Hanay W.

I enjoyed my vanilla latte aside from there being some solid pieces of something at the bottom of my cup that kept uncomfortable getting in my straw. It did not feel mixed enough.

I had two different coffee drinks from here over the course of the day and both of them were very well crafted. They have a smooth and bold espresso that the barista pulled amazingly. Try the straight up espresso and the machiatto.

Christopher L.

Really good coffee. The space is really cute and sort of sets it apart from the rest of La Cosecha. Love the neutral tones with old rustic tiling. They have this Geisha coffee which is 11/12 for a super floral coffee that is a Panama specialty according to the barista. I'd definitely come with others to order that. I got an Americano, that was small for the price imo. It's just one shot of espresso, but really good.

I'm in search of the best croissant in DC, so I regret not getting the regular croissant on this visit, but the chocolate croissant gave me an idea of what to expect. Buttery, flaky, crispy, with just the perfect amount of sweetness. The typical chocolate croissant was my personal favorite. When we asked what the most popular items were, we were surprised it wasn't the more classic bakery items, but we enjoyed what we tried. We want to go back soon to try some other items as well. My friend got a coffee and also enjoyed that! This is the perfect place to stop by for a treat if you make it in time!

A tasty sweet treat near City Center DC…read more I enjoy coming here when my sweet tooth is talking to me lol. I ordered a small cup of banana foster & dark chocolate and during the summer time my favorite is the thai coconut milk & vietnamese cinnamon because it has a sweet & savory taste to it (the best combo ever). I normally get a small cup because the portions are filling especially if you had lunch or dinner beforehand. They also sell pints of gelato, sorbetto, tea, coffee, & seasonal drinks as well. There's seating inside & outside. The store is fairly small, but you're still able to sit with a few friends. The service was quick & you're able to try out the flavors. Having to sit outside due to no available seating indoors made it worse. Gelato was tasty, nothing to get worked up for in my opinion, but maybe the fruity flavors are better! Being a frozen dessert connoisseur, I was a bit let down. Didn't finish due to the soup mess in my cup that was running all over the place & the spoon with 0 ladling power. Didn't feel like I was missing out by tossing the remnants. Come here to spend a pretty penny on some gelato!

This Zeke's, which is one of several around SC, is small featuring a few indoor and outdoor tables, a standing rail, counter and a few merch/coffee shelves.
