What a treat! I enjoyed my emerald matcha latte. The service is friendly, friendly and friendly! My drink didn't take long to make and the line was rather long. I enjoyed the unique environment and for coffee lovers- you can pick your region of bean before it's served to you. For example, one guy ordered Peru for his blend. What a cool concept. I enjoyed this Roasting Plant Coffee for its local vibes and quality service.

New Savory Pastry & More!!! Today I stopped in the Roasting Plant Coffee for quick lunch. Great choice. Scored a table too! The Fall Menu includes a savory pastry "Winter Squash Danish" (roasted butternut squash inside a croissant pastry shell.) I enjoyed it w/a "Harvest Blend" Mocha. I don't recall the coffee variety. Everything was deliciously fresh & seasonally autumnal. Prompt friendly customer service. See Photos!

Flavor wise this should be a solid 4 star. But it is SO expensive. Would I go again? No. $9.06 is a lot for a latte (technically iced cappuccino but that's questionable and having different sizes basically makes it a latte) There are many different types of beans (with pipes for transport) which they grind right before they brew. The smoked vanilla latte tasted like a warm gooey marshmallow. I loved the smoke because it added extra depth to an otherwise simple drink

We stopped in here as it was right by our hotel. It was a quiet weekend morning, so it wasn't super busy. The staff was nice, but wow, everything was really overpriced. The food was not great. The yogurt parfait had a tiny portion of granola, which was mostly raisins. The avocado toast was fine, but overpriced for what you get. Overall, we'd have opted for something different but there weren't a lot of options since it was the weekend. There are a few tables outside, and the inside aesthetic is cute. And inclusive!

This is the coolest coffee concept shop i've ever been in!! The beans flow over head to different locations for grinding. You can choose the beans that are used in your drinks! Whaaaat!?!?!? So cool!! Stop in and experience it all!

Talk about beautiful ambiance and tasty coffee. I absolutely adore Roasting Plant! The shop is very spacious and clean with plenty of seating. The staff is essentially roasting any blend of coffee you desire served hot or iced. It was so fun to see the coffee beans shoot across the roasters in the large tubes around the shop - VERY unique and interesting to witness! The staff is super friendly and helps you pick out the perfect coffee blend. I really appreciated all of the suggestions! Will be back very soon!

Phillip was super sweet and friendly. I will come back for the vibes. Matcha order in the pic.

Customer Service: Phillip was super nice and friendly. I feel like that's rare in the city. I work next door but never went because their menu is not on their website or online. It's a bit pricey but I'd go back since their customer service was great.

    Good selection of coffee beans.

Great spot with easy access from locations in downtown Washington, DC. I had an iced Guatemalan coffee, which was ground and brewed right in front of me--very cool process. The standout was their unique "Flash Chiller," which chilled the coffee almost instantly without watering it down. Service was excellent as well: an outgoing and friendly front-of-house staff member and a professional, knowledgeable barista. Definitely worth a stop if you appreciate fresh, well-made iced coffee.

Service was great coffee is great. Love that you get to pick what roasts you want and it is all batched out in front of your eyes. Really not that expensive at all if you like nice coffee. I've had pour overs cost more than our whole order today.

Large Iced Honey Oat Milk Latte

I ordered a large (4 shots) iced honey oat milk latte. The barista accidentally made it a medium (3 shots) but never addressed it. I watched him pour the drink into a large cup and just add more milk. For a $9 coffee, I expected better. Will not be back.

Coffee is my souls peace ! , it's so good, and I really loved the place and the coffee they're making. I met the owner he was so cool to explain the process, which even my little loved hearing about ! Definitely one of my favorite spots here. recommended

Coffee hits different here with the right notes. DC's diverse crowd is truly served well here…read more While not a coffee expert per se, I try to be open to different flavors nuanced and not. I tend to like sugar (too much) but try to drink black sometimes to try to appreciate the actual coffee flavor and for health reasons. Nice way to hydrate in a fancy way. Art work doesn't typically grab me but this art work did. If I had money, time, and comfortable accessibility to purchase, I would. I am sure I could order online and have shipped but I like to avoid shipping costs if I can. The realism and detail grab me in a way I like. The DC tunnel views that continue to beautify DC's respectable metro system show you that Jimmy is truly a local DC artist. It is reminiscent for me of Juniper Lane's music album cover Tightrope. I didn't notice this until after the fact but apparently when you buy art directly from here you get 15% of your purchase for more coffee here too. Wow. Why the missing star? This is kinda picky but if I wasn't looking or a foreigner, I could've accidentally added hand sanitizer to my coffee and well that's a big no no. Granted the bottle is labeled but I am not a fan of this being in the same area as the coffee add-ons. I know spacing is tight and maybe someone moved this bottle in this area but I don't get that sense and just think it's not a good setup. If this place wanted to expand , I think finding good NYC locations would be optimal as well. I am unsure if Philly would be good or not as an additional location as a coffee culture crowd. Of course I would still come back. It was worth the 15 min walk from the convention center in this hot August weather.
