What a treat! I enjoyed my emerald matcha latte. The service is friendly, friendly and friendly! My drink didn't take long to make and the line was rather long. I enjoyed the unique environment and for coffee lovers- you can pick your region of bean before it's served to you. For example, one guy ordered Peru for his blend. What a cool concept. I enjoyed this Roasting Plant Coffee for its local vibes and quality service.

New Savory Pastry & More!!! Today I stopped in the Roasting Plant Coffee for quick lunch. Great choice. Scored a table too! The Fall Menu includes a savory pastry "Winter Squash Danish" (roasted butternut squash inside a croissant pastry shell.) I enjoyed it w/a "Harvest Blend" Mocha. I don't recall the coffee variety. Everything was deliciously fresh & seasonally autumnal. Prompt friendly customer service. See Photos!

Flavor wise this should be a solid 4 star. But it is SO expensive. Would I go again? No. $9.06 is a lot for a latte (technically iced cappuccino but that's questionable and having different sizes basically makes it a latte) There are many different types of beans (with pipes for transport) which they grind right before they brew. The smoked vanilla latte tasted like a warm gooey marshmallow. I loved the smoke because it added extra depth to an otherwise simple drink

We stopped in here as it was right by our hotel. It was a quiet weekend morning, so it wasn't super busy. The staff was nice, but wow, everything was really overpriced. The food was not great. The yogurt parfait had a tiny portion of granola, which was mostly raisins. The avocado toast was fine, but overpriced for what you get. Overall, we'd have opted for something different but there weren't a lot of options since it was the weekend. There are a few tables outside, and the inside aesthetic is cute. And inclusive!

This is the coolest coffee concept shop i've ever been in!! The beans flow over head to different locations for grinding. You can choose the beans that are used in your drinks! Whaaaat!?!?!? So cool!! Stop in and experience it all!

Talk about beautiful ambiance and tasty coffee. I absolutely adore Roasting Plant! The shop is very spacious and clean with plenty of seating. The staff is essentially roasting any blend of coffee you desire served hot or iced. It was so fun to see the coffee beans shoot across the roasters in the large tubes around the shop - VERY unique and interesting to witness! The staff is super friendly and helps you pick out the perfect coffee blend. I really appreciated all of the suggestions! Will be back very soon!

    Good selection of coffee beans.

Great spot with easy access from locations in downtown Washington, DC. I had an iced Guatemalan coffee, which was ground and brewed right in front of me--very cool process. The standout was their unique "Flash Chiller," which chilled the coffee almost instantly without watering it down. Service was excellent as well: an outgoing and friendly front-of-house staff member and a professional, knowledgeable barista. Definitely worth a stop if you appreciate fresh, well-made iced coffee.

Phillip was super sweet and friendly. I will come back for the vibes. Matcha order in the pic.

Customer Service: Phillip was super nice and friendly. I feel like that's rare in the city. I work next door but never went because their menu is not on their website or online. It's a bit pricey but I'd go back since their customer service was great.

Service was great coffee is great. Love that you get to pick what roasts you want and it is all batched out in front of your eyes. Really not that expensive at all if you like nice coffee. I've had pour overs cost more than our whole order today.

Large Iced Honey Oat Milk Latte
    Tyler N.

I ordered a large (4 shots) iced honey oat milk latte. The barista accidentally made it a medium (3 shots) but never addressed it. I watched him pour the drink into a large cup and just add more milk. For a $9 coffee, I expected better. Will not be back.

They were playing bossa and jazz. I opted for the Aren latte and Indonesian beef rissole. Aren latte: 5/5 Latte with an in-house made Aren (palm sugar from West Java) for that hint of molasses and dark brown sugar This was one of my favorite coffees I've had in a while. There was a delicious coffee taste not overshadowed but rather enhanced by the smoky sweet taste of the Aren. I'll be thinking about this latte for a while. Indonesian beef rissole: 3/5 Batter-like skin rolled in breadcrumbs filled with savory ground halal beef & sautéed vegetables While I've never had this dish before, I googled pictures of what it should look like, and mine seemed to have significantly less meat than it should've. The taste was still delicious and seasoned and hearty, but it was mostly mush with some veggies and hardly any beef. While I thought the rissole was disappointing, I love the aren latte so much I'll still keep the 5 star review.

The restaurant is super cute, with a fun cafe vibe, and it's an easy walk from the waterfront. We ordered the Colada Trio, which came with empanadas, cauliflower sliders, and yuca fries. Everything was delicious, and it came with three different sauces that were honestly all so good. I could've eaten those sauces with everything. We also ordered the Platanachos (plantain nachos), which were flavorful and such a fun twist on traditional nachos. They accidentally forgot the cauliflower and mushroom topping, but as soon as I mentioned it, they brought it out right away along with extra sauce. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a place handles them, and they were incredibly accommodating, which I really appreciated. It was pretty busy when we visited, and I noticed who I believe was the manager or owner helping clean tables and checking on guests. I always love seeing that kind of hands-on involvement. It was creamy, earthy, and let the matcha shine. If you like your matcha a little sweeter, I'd recommend adding their in-house pistachio syrup. The only small downside was that it seemed like they use matcha concentrate that's prepared in advance rather than whisking each drink fresh. It was still good, but I do prefer freshly whisked matcha. Even with that, I'd absolutely come back.
