Where do we begin... From the top to the bottom Solar Symphony has professionals at every point in the process. Not only did they have the best cost for our particular system, but they went above and beyond at every level. We had several conversations from sales, operations, and the owner and found them to be extremely polite, courteous, honest, responsive and flexible. In addition to setting up the traditional solar, they were able to accommodate my request to install a 240 Volt Charger for our Ford Focus EV. I am the epitome of Analysis Paralysis and finding the right solar company was no exception. After sitting down or talking to 9 different providers, I quickly realized there were two camps: PPA [20-yr lease] pushers and IMO the better option, solar purchase. I was interested in buying the system and obtaining a low interest rate 10 yr loan (Home Equity or Solar) with monthly payments that were lower cost to than our average monthly electric bill. So we were down to about 4 companies that actually wanted to sell the system without leasing. BTW I checked what it would cost to buy the equivalent system from those PPA leasing companies and it turns out it was about a 30-50% premium. yikes. Don't get me wrong, PPAs may make sense for folks who do not have the cash or means to get a low interest long term loan. After narrowing to 4 companies, I then had two friends recommend Solar Symphony, but I already had 4 solid quotes from 4 great solar companies, so I was a little skeptical. Mark, one of Solar Symphony's account managers, was extremely professional and cut through the bologne. He's able to converse on all levels, but I wanted to know the details basically how much, how long, and when. The major botteleneck in the 'how long', as one would suspect, is the power company SDGE. Their quote was the best in our case and they agreed to flexible payment options and installing the EV charger at cost. Obviously don't just trust their rave reviews, go and get quotes from the reputable solar companies and I strongly believe you will find Solar Symphony to the be the lowest cost, highest quality/service companies in San Diego! Thanks Solar Symphony, I no longer pay any electrical bills for the house or my commuter EV car. Our break even is shorter than I expected ~ 6.5 years. AWESOME SAUCE! - Blaise. UPDATE 03Aug2016: our break even is less than 4.5 yrs from purchase, recalculated with incremental SDGE rate increases. read more

So I honestly could not have been more pleased with Solar Symphony's entire effort, from their onsite team who did the inspection and later installed the panels, to the project manager Bethany and office manager Alaina. Everyone I dealt with was extremely professional and friendly, and they definitely all know the "art" of treating the customer as #1. The guys who came to do the installation were very respectful and fun to deal with... kept things light while doing a very professional, thorough job, and took time to show me what they were doing up on the roof and answer my questions. They accidentally damaged a window screen, and were very forthright about coming to us right away, and having it fixed by the 2nd/final day of the installation. The installation of the inverter and other equipment on the side of the house was done very well and paint touched up (looks better than before they came). The entire process went VERY quickly, from initial inspection, to design and plans approval, installation, electric company signoff/permit, and finally permission to operate from SCE. Solar Symphony explained the process well and drove things quickly to completion and got us up and running in less than 2 weeks! We "found" Solar Symphony after working with Pick My Solar (the "lending tree" in the solar business), and their pricing and overall offer was the best of the various bids. Pick My Solar also spoke highly of Solar Symphony, and after working with them I can say I fully agree and I will definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors who express interest in going solar. Great job Solar Symphony! read more

Solar symphony far exceeded my expectations! I had numerous quotes from other companies, and Solar Symphony was by far the BEST! They were way cheaper and overall I felt like I was being treated fairly from start to finish. Rob I. Smith the rep that came to my home was so imforative. He explained everything so clearly and answered all my questions and concerns that I had. (So knowledgeable) from the time I signed docs my Solar was up in running in 48 days that's way faster than there competitors. Summer that worked in the office kept me up to date every step of the way. I always new what was going on. Rob and Summer are such an asset to there Company. If you skeptical and have concerns like I did. You owe to yourselves to contact them first. I promise you, you will be glad you did. read more

We loved working with Solar Symphony. We met and dealt with Mike and Larry multiple times to ensure we were going to install the proper amount of panels to generate the power we needed for our residence. During install they were always on time, if not early, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. They made sure that everything passed inspection and always sent someone out during the inspections in case there were questions. A very professional company and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking into solar for your property. read more

If anybody wants to have solar panels installed I believe you can't do better than to go with this contractor. I am in the Scripps Ranch area. They did everything: from design to blueprints to getting permits to installation and final inspection. Plus a mountain of paperwork. And not just did but did perfectly. And it was very difficult getting permits. I am certain that without their assistance I would not have received permits from a quite hostile HOA or it would have taken forever at best. The service was extraordinary, their knowledge impressive to say the least and the equipment the best. Quality of installation was flawless and once the installation started it was done in less than 2 days. So, I would like to strongly recommend Solar Symphony to everyone who is looking for a contractor to do this. And finally to thank them again, especially Alaina, Bethany and Joseph. Thank you so much! read more

The folks at Solar Symphony made our installation of solar panels painless and stress-free. They showed up when they said they would and worked efficiently and responsibly. We appreciated the courtesy of the crew and the care they took to complete the work with as little disruption to our old house as possible. So far (two weeks later) everything is working as promised. read more

Solar Symphony knocked it out of the park! Right from the start Mark walked me through all the design considerations as he explained the solar power features and installation process in detail. Albert and his installation crew were very professional and made sure the installation was done exactly as I requested. They adjusted the component locations and made sure the panels were installed without a gap between the groups for me. Dave was here an hour early to make sure everything went smooth with the inspection. In the office, Bethany was super responsive and made sure my project progressed quickly - we went from a signed contract to an operational system in less than 6 weeks! That's half the time the other companies are taking. And the best part is they were several thousand dollars cheaper than any of the other numerous estimates I received. I would absolutely go with them again - I highly recommend you give them a call. read more

Great customer service! They really care about helping their customers save money and become more energy efficient. The month to month payoff, along with the 30% tax credit is a real win win. And if you're planning to get an electric car in the next couple of years like I am, the decision is a no brainer. read more

The right technology at the right time! Fast, but thorough, and professional.....The Solar Symphony Team did a great job! Delivered on time, and on budget....no hidden anything! The RESULTS - Our 2500 sqft single family home's electric bill went from $250....to $25,....and that was just the first month! The benefit is real...The savings are real. I did my research and got 4 different bids, each using the same Solar World panels....Well worth the effort. Solar Symphony beat them all. read more

Solar Symphony came very well recommended by friends, neighbors and colleagues, and they certainly lived up to their high reputation. Ultra-competitive pricing, combined with lightning-quick response times and professional follow-through. The process from A-to-Z was shockingly easy (made easy by the Solar Symphony team). Big props to Mark and Darrell (and the rest of the installation crew) for making our transition to solar quick and painless. read more

I had an excellent experience in working with Solar Symphony. Their industry knowledge, customer focus, flexibility was top notch. Dave my installer was extremely professional, a great resource and he went out of his way to install the best system that was physically possible. The Program Management office were very efficient, keep informed every step of the way and were quick to get my system scheduled. Once my permits were received, my construction day was scheduled within a week and my installation was done in 3 days without a problem or issue. I couldn't be happier with the service and quality of the system and would highly recommend using Solar Symphony for your Solar needs. read more

Our experience with Solar Symphony was excellent. From our initial meeting through the installation process and on through our Permission To Operate, they were available to answer questions and were very communicative. They set our expectations high, and then exceeded them. The process was very smooth and professional. The installation crews were polite, competent and left the job site neat and clean each day. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a quality solar installation. read more

I am very impressed with these guys and their company. They know what they are doing. I did my research on solar leases, PPA's, and purchase options. I have several friends with solar and surveyed their experiences as well. We had a very tight deadline and they delivered. From contract signing to installation we had our solar installed in 8 days, and connected to the utility in another 3 days -- well under 2 weeks from start to finish. And the system runs great! They get my highest recommendation. read more

My first contact with Solar Symphony was on 10/17/16 and on 11/15/16, I had a complete up and running system to cover 100% of my electrical needs. It was an extremely easy process dealing with the company and everyone I dealt with was 100% professional. I would recommend Solar Symphony in a heartbeat. read more

IMO character of a business in service industry is most important when there are exceptions or things are not going as expected/planned. Working with Solar Symphony has been an amazing experience from start to end. They assigned a professional to take you through every step and they were always on or ahead of schedule. We worked with Rachel, and she was always quick to respond and even during holidays. There is never a push for payment. Prices are very competitive and quality is awesome. We are very happy with Solar Symphony. read more

Rob and Dave did an excellent job installing my solar panels. I highly recommend Solar Symphony to anyone thinking about installing solar panels. Solar system was installed early Dec 2014. It's been 3 months and I could not be any happier with my decision to go with Solar Symphony. I love the zero monthly electricity bill for the next 20 - 30 years with ROI around 5 years. After having a bad experience with a few big box solar companies late last summer who would give me the run around and use pressure sales tactics to force a lease, I took my time to get educated on solar before making a final decision to purchase my system and take advantage of the 30% federal tax credit too. Mark Nelson was my rep and he made sure everything that was promised was delivered. I highly recommend Solar Symphony to anybody considering a solar system. read more

Solar Symphony is a stand up company. I often worry if a company is going to do a poor job, rip me off, or never answer my emails or phone calls. This is not the case with Solar Symphony. They answered every email from the very beginning in a timely manner, which means same day or the next day nothing longer than that. They explained to me the financing portion, the process, and installation. If I had a question, they have the answer. The customer service is the best I have experienced. And you will find that out right away. I am confident in their abilities and unlike the big solar businesses that have their sneaky way of over charging you and providing shotty workmanship, Solar Symphony is a highly reputable company. My solar system works right, the bill is what I agreed it to be, I get the solar tax incentive, and I am a happy customer. Folks, these guys are good and these are the good guys. I stand by them 100%. And yes, I am a skeptical person so I felt relieved knowing these guys were going to take care of me. Keep up the good work, Solar Symphony! Christopher D. read more

We finally got around to installing Solar about a year ago and wonder why we did not act sooner. The largest issue was trying to find an installer because there is no clear direction outside of reviews. After speaking with a few installers over the phone (keeping them out of our house initially because typical sales people can be like bed bugs...hard to get rid once inside), we choose Solar Symphony. I initially spoke with Robert at Solar Symphony for about an hour and felt very comfortable and confident. He then stopped by our house and drafted a reasonable quote. We decided to use the credit union they endorsed down in San Diego. The only issue was that we are located in Orange County and ineligible for their financing. It was a really small issue that Solar Symphony handled within a day. After permits, the crew had our panels up and running in a matter of days (along with a new fuse panel). Although we slightly over paneled thinking that we would own an electric car in the future or possibly a pool, we have never paid more than the line access fee each month (needed because we sell electricity back to the power company and tap into the grid at night). After 16 months with working panels we have around a 1,000 kilowatt credit. Everyone was curious, fast and responsive. In fact, our neighbor used Solar Symphony a few months later. Ironically, my in laws also installed solar and went with a different contractor and have several issues along the way (mostly around customer service). If we were to sell this house, I would not hesitate to call Solar Symphony again. read more

Awesome customer service and smooth installation. We have had solar with Solar Symphony now for about four months and have had a wonderful experience. Bethany is quick to help with any questions and support. I am so glad we have made the decision to go with this company!! read more

Just an all around great company. I had a solar system on my roof that came with the house I bought and found out recently that it doesn't even work and the way they installed it wasn't even up to code. I live in Yorba Linda and the company that installed it, based in Orange, isn't even in business anymore (shocker). I shopped around for several weeks, trying to figure out if I should try to have it repaired or just get a new one. I met with several companies and got a range of estimates--some as high as $65,000! Most of the companies were going to charge me thousands of dollars to take my old system down. Not Solar Symphony. Not a dime. They were the one company that I didn't feel was trying to overcharge me. Their sales rep Mike was fantastic and gave me an estimate by email within a few days that was very reasonable. He didn't try to sell me on stuff I didn't need, or ask me to sign up for some program that would put a lien on my house. Solar Symphony arranged all my financing and gave me a great rate with no money down and no up front financing charges like many competitors are charging (some are charging as much as $1000 for the right to finance--crazy). I had expected the project to take at least a couple months from signing the contract, through the permit process, and installation. This company was unbelievable. Brett came out and took measurements and did the initial assessment within a few days of my first conversation with their sales team. They got my design done within a few days and had my system up in less than 2 weeks! Unreal! Mike and the team were in touch with me every step of the way, including their folks on the financing end, which was reassuring. I literally got my loan approved within a week. The installation crew was fantastic as well. Shawn, our foreperson, was outstanding and up front with me about everything they were doing and how they were going to do it. It was a real educational experience. Alfonso and Eddie did a picture perfect job. They drove up I believe all the way from Escondido with all the panels and parts and were on time every single day. They were at my house for about 3 days and took care of everything, removing my old panels and wiring, then installing the new system and monitoring equipment. They were friendly, easy going, kept things clean and packed up everything when they were done as though no one had ever been there. The panels look fantastic. In only the 20 hours or so it's been up and running I've already produced more power than I did in the last month with my old system. I would recommend these guys to anyone. There are so many solar companies out there but these guys are the real deal, and are as honest and diligent as you can get. Thanks Solar Symphony! read more

The installation crew was clean and efficient, the main office handled everything in a timely manner with me my HOA and the permits needed. They kept me informed every step of the way, and Michael Curtis my sales rep was there through the entire process. The solar symphony team delivered on all its timelines, and apples for apples it was by far the best price and I shopped it big time. Solar Symphony was the best quote from the start I even gave a few other companies a chance to beat their price and in the end Solar Symphony was the best overall :) read more

We went with Solar Symphony for several reasons. First, their Sales Representative Mark Nelson was factual and did not push us, he recommended a product matching our budget to a quality that still will meet our needs. Mark remained available to help guide us through the process even after we decided to go with Solar Symphony. Bethany respected our scheduling needs and provided help when our HOA was not able to respond to our application with the immediacy we expected. Johnny and his crew were great about respecting our property on installation, answering our questions and demonstrating how the system worked, explaining the next steps in the inspection process. The system was installed yesterday, so we hope within a couple weeks, after the final inspections, we will be up and running. read more

I picked these folks over 4 other bids and was very pleased with the whole process. They finished my installation in less than 2 months and the guys that installed everything were great, working in the hottest part of September 2014. I have been making my own electricity since 10/3/2014 and saving money. The app to follow how much the system is producing is fun to look at and its great to see in realtime. The roof warranty is fantastic and I was very pleased during these past rains to see that my roof was indeed water tight. Kudos to Solar Symphony read more

Just got my year #3 true-up electric bill at $42.00 for the full year. So happy I went solar and worked with Mark and Solar Symphony. They nailed the production I needed and did an A+ job on the installation. Solar Symphony did a great job! They were very responsible and made sure everything was cleaned up when they were done. They did it for $17,000 less than the quote I got from Solar Alliance of America. It took only 43 days from contract signing to utility interconnection, throwing the switch. Solar Symphony used special inverters that allow me to have power when the sun is shining even if the utility is down. That's nice because I've already had three power outages from the utility. And I hear that the power pundits expect more this summer. read more

5 stars says it all for this company. Excellent performance in installation and meeting all requirements. Wow. Joseph was smooth talking and pushy. insisted on my email and when i said no, hung up on me mid-sentence. nice.

Was referred to Solar Symphony by a coworker and thankfully, his recommendation was spot on. The staff was very helpful and courteous along the way, and answered every question that I had with great professionalism. The crew who came to do the surveying and installation were also great and I have nothing, but good things to say about them. With very fair prices, and great customer service, what more can you ask for? Would recommend these guys in a heart beat! read more

We had experience with solar panels at our previous house and so knew what we wanted. We saw Solar Symphony working on our neighbors' houses and liked how they worked. We then asked for a bid and got amazing personal service. Less than 6 weeks after first starting the project the system is running well. We compared at least 2 other bids and Solar Symphony beat them. The best experience possible. We would highly recommend this team! Matt K. read more

Solar Symphony understands customer service!! That is something I find missing from many businesses these days. My project with Solar Symphony was complex and unusual. I cannot say it was the smoothest process in the world mostly due to hurdles created by The City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. I can also say that Solar Symphony Construction absolutely messed up on a few things during the whole process as is typical with any type of construction. However, when they made a mistake, they admitted to it, apologized for it and fixed it. They were always on my side when we had to deal with LADWP, which is always a nightmare. Dealing with LADWP for residential solar is mind-numbing. Solar Symphony worked with them constantly until they got everything approved and were able to turn on my system. Now that its up and running we are powering our entire house and two electric cars off the sun! Thanks Solar Symphony. read more

My wife and I have been looking into solar for a while now. Being an engineer by nature I don't quickly pull the trigger on anything tech related especially something such as solar. I was pointed to Solar symphony by a colleague who is even pickier than me. I reached out to his contact Mike Curtis and from that point on the engagement was very professional and support from the team there was beyond expectations. Alaina and Bethany walked us through every step with ease, answering every question we asked promptly and helping us even when we were the cause of the issue. I can't comment enough of the phenomenal customer service. The installation crew (Dave, Tommy and Chris) was also very professional, clear on the plan and quick with the overall install. In summary I would strongly recommend using Solar Symphony to anyone I can't imagine you can find a better company. read more

My solar installation process was a breeze with this company. I worked with Bethany and Alaina and both were professional and quick to respond to any questions I had. But more than anything, I appreciated that they took the lead on getting my solar panels planned, permitted and installed -- then approved by the city and the LADWP -- quickly and painlessly. I have heard nightmares about the installation and approval process, but this could not have been more seamless. They even filed for my rebate for me and made sure it was approved. My panels are cranking energy into the grid now and there was no headache involved. Thank you! read more
